  1. My husband has his 3rd appointment tomorrow to turn in our new co sponsors information. I just want to make sure he has everything for tomorrow...

    I sent him

New Joint Sponsor I 846 signed

Copy of Joint Sponsor Naturalization Certificate

    2008,2009,2010 Joint Sponsor Tax Transcripts

Copy of w-2 for the years 2008,2009,2010

2 last pay stubs from joint sponsor to prove he still works for the company

I pray that they give him the visa this time.. i miss he dearly :(

  2. Certificate of Naturalization is the proof of US Citezenship. Is it that you are sending a copy of the joint-sponsor as proof of his citizenship!

Thanks! I had to find a new joint sponsor because the one my husband had got denied today at his interview so now i have to get all the papers together for the new joint sponsor thats y i asked if a copy would be ok but i read it on the uscis.gov website that a copy is more then fine.

  3. That is so true but i just dont want the embassy to not give my husband his visa again due to not having the right documents...isnt the naturalization certificate like the passport other then you cant travel with it?

That is so true but i just dont want the embassy to not give my husband his visa again due to not having the right documents...isnt the naturalization certificate like the passport other then you cant travel with it? It still means that he is a US Citizen right?? ohh and can it also just be a copy of the certificate?

  4. We had our interview today and got Blue Slipped due to the I864 problem. Originally I (unemployed petitioner) sent the I864 and my mother (joint sponsor and also a household member) sent the I864. The CO's comments were that he couldn't say what exactly was wrong (and quoted some law) but that I, the petitioner, needed to fill out a new I864 form to include my mother, form I864A. He then said my mother's form was correct.

We've been looking at the forms and I'm now even more confused. What do I now put for question 21G? One for me, one for my husband and now one for my mother? What about my father? He's in the household. He's not filling out any forms but he was counted on my mothers original I864 form. Now he doesn't count anywhere? Or does he now need to fill out an I864A form? Is this going to be another problem? Should I have my mother complete the I864A form and just resend her tax returns and W-2s?

Any help would be appreciated as I thought I had this understood and now am really upset.

Wow i guess it was a blue slip kind of day my husband got a blue slip today to at his interview because of a joint sponsor issue.. good luck im trying to figure mine out to at the moment.

  5. The joint sponsor can scan and email. At this point might be better for sponsor to get tax information directly from the IRS. Your blue slip should have directions on it how to proceed. Usually if you read the instructions, reread, look at what you are sending re look, review re read it is faster than getting an RFE or Blue slip.o

thanks...for your help but there where no other instructions on the sheet other then they need those forms...my husband sent me a scanned copy of it so i can see what it actually said.

  6. My husband had his interview today in skopje, macedonia but he was not given his visa because he did not have my joint sponsors 1040 tax forms he only had her restaurants tax forms. Which when I talked to NVC they said that was the only tax forms he needed.. (guess that was a lie). I know now that I have to send in her 1040's because that was the only thing written on the paper but I have know idea if i can just scan them and email them to my husband so he can print them out or do they have to original and sent by mail.. I tired calling the consulate but no one answered. I have no idea how to even set up another interview to turn in these papers? I need help :(

  7. Ds230 was approved and processed along with all documents today. Unfortunately the affidavit of support had to be redone, its already at NVC ... I regrettably put i was from the united states and not united states of america and it was kicked out. Its only been there since last week, its basically approved since only problem was i put united states! extremely frustrating! but anyway i guess they will schedule our interview in the next few weeks :)

Ohh no..! I just sent my affidavit of support and I just put down united states I didnt put down America at the end of it... now im a little worried.. my co sponsor wrote the same on hers..shoot!

  8. Hi Sashiku01,

Regarding the email address issue (sharing same email):

Sharing the same email address should not be an issue/problem at all. Because, all information/correspondence from NVC is sent to ALL parties involved anyway, even if you have a lawyer or representative. So, it doesn't really matter.

Additionally, in some posts you will see people stress the point of sending something from a specific email address (meaning the USC for some things or the Significant Other for other things). Example: "DS-3032 choice of agent or DS-230 should be sent from immigrant's email address" and so on.

Actually, it doesn't matter at all. I have confirmed this with NVC + supervisors several times. (As well I practiced it during our process). All NVC needs and is concerned about is the information they have asked for, that the appropriate forms have been filled out completely and signed by the appropriate party, and that the required civil documents have been provided. NVC DOES NOT look at whose email certain docs are sent from. They only ensure the emails received are from legitimate email addresses which were submitted to them by petitioner/beneficiary/third party choice of agent (if applicable).

    Best Wishes and Good Luck,

    ~Bleauwolf

thanks so much for the info! Now I understand that it doesnt matter and I shouldnt worry about that!! All I have to worry about is having everything filled out right! :)

  9. Yes--call back and they will give you the number, and then you can use the NVC payment portal to pay for the AOS ($88), and then you will get an email from NVC with the I-3032 instructions, and after you file it, you can then pay the IV fee ($404), and you will be on your way. The whole payment process should just take a week or two if you do everything electronically from your bank account.

Thanks so much for your help! I will call on Tuesday so I can get things going! :) I am planning on just scanning the Choice of Agent that my husband sent signed to me.. do you think its going to be a problem that we use the same email even though NVC already knows this? sorry for all these ?s I hope im not a bother..

  10. They will give it to you over the phone, you need to ask for it. Did you give them your e-mail and your SO's e-mail address? Did you talk to a person or just the AVR?

I talked to a person.. and I gave them my email address because my husband and I share one..and when I asked about it she told me that she couldnt give it to me.. so thats why I am confused..

  11. I called yesterday and the operator told me that my case was received in the office but no case number yet.. :( so should I call back like you did?? and see if another operator gives me the number? my noa2 was on june 6th!

I actually called again tonite.. and they where able to give me my case number!! :)

  12. I wanted to know what i should do about the ds-230 form that is on the travel.gov website, could i just fill it out and then just print it out? Is that allowed by the nvc i would like to know because i want to get this prepared ahead of time for when its time my wife could justsend it in please could anybody that has dealt with this part of the process shed some light for me thank you..

There is nothing wrong with doing this ahead of time.. I did that for my husband..!

  13. Hey folks,

Called this morning and the operator said they received our case in their office (NOA2 came on June 9th). Called this evening and the operator was able to give me our NVC case number. I'm hoping everyone on this thread will get theirs as well.

  14. DO NOT send the 3032 thru the mail !! Once you are at the correct point, either scan it and send it electronically or use the template available on this site--you will typically get it approved in 1 - 3 days--less than 24 hours in our case, but only God knows how long it will take if you send it thru the mail. Don't listen to anyone or any guide that tells you otherwise, and don't email it and then turn around and mail the hardcopy.

    Really !!!

Oh wow! thanks for the advice! From reading everything I would of just sent in over night.. but now im just going to scan it and email them the scanned copy when its time.. thanks so much!
