My wife and I have our i-130 and i-485 filed already. We were waiting to send up the affidavit of support until my tax returns came back. Thing is. I've never been married but a couple of years on the tax returns I filed with my ex girlfriend. We were never married but filed jointly. We weren't even considered common law. I was wondering if this would have an effect on our application and if it would be severe at all. My wife and I have been married for over 2 years.

My wife got NO AOS EOS COS stamped on her passport while on her way to the US for a visit. At the time she had no intention of staying but after a week of being back together we thought about applying for AOS but it was stamped NO AOS on her passport, our lawyer says its fine and we can go through with the I-485. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what they would recommend we do. she only has until the 10th of nov on her I-94 (she was only given from Oct 28th to Nov 10th) would it even be worth trying or should she just go back to canada?

would you suggest getting an attorney?

Hey everyone! I was hoping someone with good knowledge about the process to bring my wife home to me. We aren't exactly sure on what steps to take. Here is the situation. We've been married for 2 years. Got married here in the U.S. Unfortunately being young we did not know about the K-1 so we got married while she was here visiting me 2 years ago. We lived in Canada for a year. I just recently moved back in July and have gotten a really good job. We're just trying to figure out the best way to go about this. We want to know the best possible way and the shortest length of time to get her here. We think we have a few options but aren't sure. Here's a breakdown.

Work Visa-She works for a company that is based out of the U.S. maybe have her apply for a work visa and get a transfer? Not sure of length of time. Can we adjust her status after that?

K3-Not sure how long it takes to get her here but I've heard this is the best route.

Adjustment of status? Not exactly sure what it is but something about a visitor adjusting status while here.

Can someone possibly help with clarification?

Not quite sure if I'm posting this in the proper area so forgive me if I'm wrong. My wife currently lives in Canada. I am a United States citizen. I was curious as to what the average processing times are. Basically I'd like to know how long it may take before I got to bring my wife to America.

I know that if you come into the United States as a visitor that you have the option to change status. Mainly because you have an I-94. How do you change status as a Canadian?
