    He got his passport after arguing his way into the Consulate and picking it up directly, as there is an issue with DHL and they promised his passport almost 1 MONTH after his interview instead of the usual 10 days. Worst Consulate ever? It's up there.

    So sad he has not received his passport yet and missed his flight for today :( i know i should had bought the flight - dumb worst luck feeling kinda down had high hope hopes he would be here by now

      and its totally not your fault. We were told within 10 days we'd have the passports and they're just lazy bastards. there is one woman who we've spoken wiht at the Consulate who is AWFUL. She's a Guayaquilena woman who speaks decent English--if you get someone who is completely rude to you, it's probably her. Just stand your ground and TELL them when you're going to the Consulate to pick it up (if you want to do that)

      Oh nooo...I'm so sorry. We just made our flight yesterday. Call the Guayaquil consulate at (04) 232 3570. Tell them that its urgent that you travel and that you were told that he could pick up hsi passport directly. Ask them to put his name on a list so he can get through security. Bring a letter from both you AND him stating why you need the passport (flight plans), and bring a copy of your itinerary from the airline.       I scheduled mine on Monday...there was a glitch in the system and anyone who added a family member to accompany them was not given appointments. Grrr...Thank god for visa journey!
