  1. i have same question too hehehe.my interview at the us embassy will be this coming may 24 and my daughter schedule will be on the following day.

my question is...can my daughter go with me inside the embassy?even her schedule will be on the next day?

this bothers me alot.bcoz we're from tacloban and i cant leave my daughter in the hotel alone...

Hi! They will probably do the interview with your daughter on the same day as you, especially because hers is just on the following day. Me and my son had different interview dates, when I came to mine, they said I should have brought my son already. Bring her documents, too. Good Luck!

  2. Hi everyone,

I will be having my medical on 23 June. My problem is i have a cough and cold 3 days already. Will it this going to have a problem on my medical? I am hoping that someone could share their experience that have cough and cold....

Also do i need to set an appointment in St. Luke's?

I had cough and cold when I had my medical exam. I didn't have any problems at all. Try and get better before your medical, you have time pa. Go see a doctor just to be sure it's just cough and cold. You don't have to set an appointment but you may (not required, only if you want to save some time when you go to St. Luke's) pre-register online at slec.ph. Good Luck! Feel better!

  3. My fiancee and her 2 yo daugther just arrived on K1-K2 a few days ago. Problem now is even I told her to get serveral copies of the NSO authenticated birth certificate for both her and her daugther she arrived without those needed documents in hand. Guess she figured that the packet recieved form 2go and submitted to the custom upon entry would be given back with the required documents inside.

So here the issue now cuz we can't get married without her birth cerificate and she wont be able to get a SS # also, is it possible to have her father get the authenticated copies from NSO and have them sent to me in the USA?

The second issue is the child was born out of wedd lock so doesn't carry the mothers last name only the fathers but the mothers name is spelled in the middle part.

Im praying all turns out well for us and we can get the required documents in time.

    Thanks VJ.

Hi! I think you can request for her birth certificate online and have it delivered to your address in the US. I'm not sure how long it will take, though. Go to e-census.com.ph. To your second question, I agree that as long as the birth certificate indicates her as the mother, you don't need to worry.

  4. Nice! Thank you for your reply. Would there be enough time to finish the medical if I go there after lunch?

Hi! I was at St. Luke's twice, for my med exam and then my son's. Very different experiences. It seemed everything was faster during mine. I was there 5am, I was done before 11am. And there were far fewer people during my med exam than during my son's, so it's probably different everyday. I guess there would be enough time to finish it if you go after lunch but I strongly suggest being there really early. To answer your second question, do photocopy your passport before you go to St. Luke's. I'm not sure that the guard at the Embassy will accept your id's, you should probably call to ask. You can try and get an NBI Clearance, get a change of surname. Best of luck!

  5. Congratulations!

I've been calling that number too, they haven't pick up my cenomar in NSO Pasay. It was ready for pick up as of 29th of April and they told me to call again on tues..

Thank you! Why do they have to pick it up daw? I did a reverification, NSO delivered it to them, pero hindi CENOMAR, birth certificate. Anyway, good luck sa yo, God Bless!

  6. thank you saniko for the information. i just wonder, how many days from the day you got the results to the interview date? do you think it's possible to have the interview date just after the result? st.luke's told me that my results will be on may 6 but they told me to call on may 10. why do i need to call them 4days after if the result will be on the 6th? they already had delayed me for 2months,so i plan to call them on may 5..hahaha

Hi! Unfortunately, you can only get the earliest schedule that they can give you. My son was done with his medical exam last March 30, and the earliest sched we could get was April 19. I did this by phone. I have no idea why they asked you to wait 4 days, hehe. Good Luck!

  7. Hello guys! For anyone who's watching this thread, I found out today that my son's visa was approved yesterday. Our visas will get to us within 7-10 working days, hopefully. I called this number: (02) 301-2000 loc 5184 or 5185. This is the Immigrant Visa Unit at the Embassy. They can tell you the status of your case. Good luck, everyone!

  8. Hi. Just wanted to ask why did the CO asked for a copy of birth certificate from LCR? Didn't you give them a copy of BC from NSO? Because I have NSO copy of my daughter's BC and that's what I'm going to present on her interview (actually NVC package since she's on CR-2)but your case confused/worried me. Is that a new requirement? For a BC to be reverified by NSO or their copy is enough? Thanks.

Hi! The CO questioned the authenticity of my son's birth certificate, it looks a little faded out. I understood that, she was just doing her job. Pinas is a high fraud country. Unfortunately for me, it wasn't that the NSO is a corrupt agency, it's that it is inept. Someone at the NSO did not do their job properly. CO had to be sure that the copy I was holding was indeed issued by the NSO, hence the reverification. You have nothing to worry about if you never had any problems with your daughter's bc. Good Luck! Be praying for you.

  9. Immigrant visa applicants who have been scheduled by the NVC for a visa appointment at the Embassy are required to visit the online appointment website to register their delivery address.

My wife's interview is on 11 May @ 6:30 a.m. While I was looking at the Embassy's website, I stumbled on to this bit of info. I clicked on the link provided, but I see no place to login to register her "delivery address". Does she need to create a profile? Need some help!

I wondered the same thing when I read that. My interview was also scheduled by the NVC. I still don't know what they mean by that. I was asked to do that after my interview, I filled out a visa delivery form. Good luck to you both!

  10. my set interview last April 6 was cancelled due to a micro dot seen in my lung... anyways, as for rescheduling my interview, who will do that?st luke's?

will it be "OK" to schedule an interview appointment while waiting for my sputum culture result? i got negative result for the sputum smear.... I can't stand too much delays.. :(

    please help.. thanks

Hi! I answered your post on another thread. In case you can't find it, (I'm new here so I'm not sure how everything goes yet) I'll post my answer here. My son was a no-show at his interview, too, due to a delay at St. Luke's. I called St. Luke's to ask if I should reschedule the interview, they said I should wait until they clear my son, meaning he's done with the medical exam. They gave me a document when I got the results (Xray CD and Vaccination Record Sheet) which told me how to reschedule my son's interview. You do need to inform the Embassy if you were a no-show at your interview (02-982-5555). That's the same number I called to reschedule my son's interview, but you can do it online at ustraveldocs.com/ph. Don't quote me on this, though, because your case might be different from my son's. Call St. Luke's (http://www.slec.ph/contact-us.shtml) or the Embassy to ask. Good luck! Hope all goes well with you!

  11. Hello! Finally found some people in the same boat as I am. It's not me, though, it's our son. @dlareg, I posted on your other topic. My son's interview was April 19, got the 221g form, asked for additional documents: Local Civil Registry certified copy of birth certificate and reverification from NSO. Gave me back my son's passport. I sent the docs via 2GO with the 221g form and 2GO submission form April 25 at 2GO Megamall. Tracked it and they said Embassy received it April 26.

Have read a bunch of threads on this already but they were pretty old. It's different for everybody. It seems, though, that they respond faster if you email them. I think it's IVManilaReplies@state.gov. You might need to put the case number, petitioner's name and your name. I have not done this yet because NSO dispatched the reverification only yesterday, I'm giving it time.

Good luck to all of us! Post if you get any news! Thanks y'all! :)

  12. hi guys, i hope you can share your experiences here. i'm also at 221(g) right now F2B cat. i'm just confuse right now cause they put us in AP, but they did not asked me to submit any documents.. when i receive the 221g form from them i noticed that there's only one check in the which is "WAIT TILL YOU HEAR FROM" .. and i asked the lady in the window if i have to submit any documents and she said none..and she kept all our documents and passport and asked me to fill-up the 2GO form, hope you can enlighten me a bit here guys, really worried and hanging, don't know what to do how long does it takes to receive our visa? hope you can share some inputs . thanks and god bless....

Oh, and you should follow up on them through phone or email just to remind them. Good luck! :)

Hi! When was your interview? Our son's case (IR2) is also under AP/AR, but CO asked for additional documents, gave back our son's passport to me but I sent them back with the docs they needed. I have read a bunch of threads already on this here. It's different for everybody. I'm hoping we're some of the lucky ones. Will be praying for you too. Post if you get any news!

  14. can somebody enlighten me?

my set interview last April 6 was cancelled due to a micro dot seen in my lung... anyways, as for rescheduling my interview, who will do that?st luke's?

will it be wise to schedule an interview appointment while waiting for my sputum culture result? i got negative result for the sputum smear....

    please help.. thanks

Hello! It would be wiser to reschedule your interview when St. Luke's clears you, meaning you're done with your medical exam. You need to inform the US Embassy of the reason for not showing up at your April 6 interview and your intent to reschedule. 02-982-5555 is the number to call. You, not St. Luke's will reschedule your interview. You may do it over the phone (same number) or online at ustraveldocs.com/ph. You will need your case number and passport number to do this. Sorry for the late reply, I saw this just now.

  15. Hi,

I have a question. I have Minimal Tuberculosis findings 7 years ago and I have been treated for 6 months. I've been doing a follow up check up once a year since then and they only see a scar. Do you think even if I have my medical certificate from my doctor they will still ask me to do SPUTUM test?

    Thank you

Hi! You may bring the medical certificate but you will still have to go through the chest xray. Whether or not you need to undergo Sputum test will depend on that.

  16. We need a new thread on this. Our son was given the 221g form after his interview (more like, me, because our son's a minor) last April 19. The CO asked for additional documents (local civil registry copy of birth certificate) and I was given a reverification form to give to the NSO for our son's birth certificate. I sent the LCR through 2GO on April 25 (this is free, Embassy will give you a request form to hand over to 2GO), it was received April 26. I requested for the NSO reverification online thru e-census.gov.ph (this is not free and you can do it in person at the Pasay branch), I received an email that it was dispatched yesterday, April 28. I have already filled out the visa delivery form. My visa has been approved (my interview was last February 17) but is now tied up with my son's case because at my interview, I told the CO that I wanted to wait for my son's interview so that our visas can be processed together. There's no way I'm leaving without our son. Anyone else have any stories? Let's keep in touch! :)
