    Yoshi and I met in December 2009 in Japan while I was there on the JET program. We pretty much knew after our first date that this would be it. We spent every possible moment together from then on, until August 2010 when I went back to the states. Yoshi followed in October 2010 on a visa waiver for a 3 month trip to see the states. We had an amazing time and were engaged on December 17th, 2010. He left December 31st, and we have been apart ever since. We didn't apply for the visa until May 2011 because that is when I (finally!) found employment! I can't wait until the day I can meet him at the airport again (hopefully this time no interrogation by immigration), and I won't have to let him go again!!

    thank you!! we are stunned and happy. i don't know why--i've heard california is the fastest center, plus we have a pretty simple case--neither of us have been married before, and no kids. we also had a letter from a family friend who is a judge who will be marrying us. lilly1986, how long have you been waiting?
