Is the length of employment significant?
I will be moving back to American this summer and may have only been employed (fingers crossed!) a month or two before I need to provide everything for my fiance. I would make above the poverty line but only have had one paycheck!
Thanks!

Thanks!
The "fiance visa" checklist page and the "how to" page are a bit different. Once you pointed it out, I realized I must have read over the fiance visa checklist page too quickly!
Thanks for you help!

Hello!
I have a quick question about the post NOA 2 (which hopefully is on its ways!!) activity for the Tokyo Embassy. It might also be noteworthy that my fiancé is a UK citizen and we are both living in Japan as English teachers.
On the Embassy website, there is a lovely step by step description of the process for all non-immigration visas. In step one, the applicant is to fill out a DS-160. However on the left, in a text box, there is a statement that says, "all non-immigration visas (except fiancé visa) applicants applying for visas at the US Embassy are required to complete the DS-160 online application form."
While it seems clear that he will not have to fill out a DS-160, you are required to use a barcode from the DS-160 to log into the online payment system.
Here are my two questions...
1. Do we need to do a DS-160?
2. If not, how do we enter the online payment on the Embassy website?
Thanks in advance for all your help! Colleen

Congrats on your upcoming day! We are (eventually) doing the same thing, a JP ceremony for the paper work and a wedding later. I am wearing my dress both times. I am really excited at the thought of being able to wear it twice!
I-134 Affidavit of Support Question
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Posted
Hi everyone!
I have a quick question on the support documents. On the top of page 2, you are to write in your job...my tiny little problem is that I currently don't have one! My parents are going to be co-sponsors but I am nervous about leaving everything blank. I will however, be starting sub teaching in the fall (as regular teaching jobs are hard to come by) and will be working within 3 different school districts subbing on a (hopefully) daily basis.
My question is, should I include something to say that I have the sub job lined up but it is a day to day basis? Should I not really worry about it?
(other important info-my fiancee is from England and will be doing his interview in Tokyo)
Thanks for the help!
