  1. Hi, my question relates to the i-864 is it filled out exactly like the i-134? I used a co sponsor so I'm wondering if I use a co sponsor I'm I required to also show my tax returns? I don't work so I don't have any to file.

I really don't know if I was accepted as the sponsor( with my assets)or they used my co sponsor because all of my co sponsor's w2 were return to my fiance.

I don't want the uscis to send me a rfe asking for my tax returns(if I not mistaking we are still required to file even if we aren't working)and when I try to file it takes weeks and I run out of time per their request for information.

  2. I don't have an income because I was a student and now I'm looking for a Job. (I have money of my own and supporting her financially is not a problem for me) I have read on the the US Consulate website that if I don't make %125 of the poverty line that I can have a co-sponsor. Maybe I should phrased my question differently. Even if I don't make an income, will I need to show a tax return that says I didn't make any money? Thank you!

no you don't have to show a tax return if you use a sponsor, but you have to go to the individual countries site(not the us site, the embassy site of the country in question) and find out if the country accepts co sponors because some countries do not.

  3. I'm kind of lost here the aos packet states that another medical isn't required if the k1 beneficiary arrived with-in the last 12 months, but then it goes on to state form I693 is required.

How can anyone fill out this form accurately if during the medical exam the required vaccines were put into a sealed envelope and giving to the uscis?

any information would be greatly appreciated, thanks

  4. Hello,

I have a question about the I-134 form. I don't work therefore I don't file taxes and I can't show a tax return. I have no problem getting a co-sponsor (more than 1 if needed). So my questions is, if I can't provide a tax return but have an appropriate co-sponsor, will I encounter any probings in bringing my loved one to the United States?

Thank you!! All help is greatly appreciated!!

you have to find out if the embassy accept co sponsor if they do you should not have any problems.

you can go to the embassy's web site and send them an email and ask them if co sponsor are accepted.

  5. first off congrats, the k1 process is a really smooth process if u have all the paper work in order and you don't leave any spaces on the application blank so make sure u recheck everything. Also every form in the application requires the original signatures.

Knope2012 sent u a link on the k1 process read it, read it, and read it to make sure you and the petitioner qualifies for the K1. make sure u have boarding passes, pictures to prove he was there within the last 2 years

here are the example forms and cover letters showing u how everything should be arranged in the k1 packet(remember u need to send in 2 letters of intent from each of u):

last, at the end of each month it's a good ideal to start cataloging all the skype log, emails, call logs, and snail mail(send each other from time to time it helps) and it's a real time saver to have everything prepared already for the interview.

september is plenty of time and if u follow the example forms and don't leave any spaces blank on the k1 application u should be fine. also, make sure on the form to put n/a and none in the appropriate spaces because sometime they will send u a rfe it for a minor error like the one listed

    good luck

  6. To use an analogy, some people complain that their head hurts but they won't stop banging it against the wall. No, I do not know what happened and it sounds like OP will keep as much information private as possible. I have been in countries where you get arrested for looking at a cop wrong; this is not one of them. If he was minding his own business while walking down the street, and he gets arrested, well SOMETHING got the officer's eye. Whatever it was, well culturally at least there is something going on there.

In summary, my advice would be that whatever lifestyle choices you made that led to your arrest, well try to avoid those choices in the future.

robert & karen if u don't know what u are talking about it's sometimes better to keep your comments to yourself.

  7. and also, if i want to include the real estate, what is mortgage and emcumbrance refer to?

it means how much is still owed on the property

you can list the real estate if you like, but it doesn't matter if the co sponsor income is above the poverty line. If the co sponsor income wasn't over the real estate could have been use to make up any short, but an appraisal from a professional appraiser would be required to show the real current value of the property.

  8. if the co sponor only sent in the i134 and didn't include the w2's you will not be approved no matter how good of a story you tell the co. your finace can still fax the co sponor w2's into you before tomorrow because you already have the original signed i134.

also, if your parents and your sister are already legal resident/citizen and you don't want them to sponsor you because of a "red flag" don't they have any friends that can do it for you if your fiance co sponor is backing out?

  9. This embassy is ridiculous. I'm not working so I sent in my bank records which showed a balance of over 26000 cash in the account and I used my house(deed was sent in showing paid in full with out any leins) as an asset to make up the rest. I also sent in a co sponsor's form showing a significat amount above the poverty line signed and notarized and my financee said that the co was still so fixated on why I was not working.

The co then ask for proof of a relationship and my fiancee gave her a binder of skype logs that was about an inch thick, photo's(the co ask her if she didh't have anymore), western union reciepts, birthday cards, email sent, phone logs which should hundreds of calls and this co still wasn't satisfied. The co kept the skype call logs, the phone records, the calling card history and gave my fiancee the pictures back.

The co then told my fiancee that I have to be there because she wanted to interview me. The co said that everyone else significant other had accompied their loved one to the interview so where was I?

If we didn't call inquiring about if we can just go and take the medical with out the appoint lettter because I was in guatemala visting we would have never known that we had an appointment on the 8. I ask why they didn't email us or anything to let us now that we had an interview so soon. Today is the 8 my finacee never received the packet in the mail. I received my packet and the date that shows when it was mailed to me was Nov 30(the interview was the 8)

This is beyond belief! so I have to head down there and try to book a monday appointment.

  10. Hello everyone!

Firstly my fiance is from the US and i'm from the UK we met in Sydney both of us on a working holiday visa! She was a student before leaving the states so we have to use a sponsor her grandmother is lovely and she wants to sponsor us, she does meet the 125% from her pension but she is 80 years old will this be a problem?? she is our only option!

Also should we hire a lawyer we want to make sure everything is done rite and willing to pay if needed, but i'm not sure if we need to spend all that money does a lawyer help that much is it worth it?

Thank you all so much for reading any advice or your experience's would be appreciated.

    Jake

    sample forms:

    http://www.visajourney.com/content/examples

make sure you don't leave any spaces blank on the application place n/a and none in the correct spaces.

two different letter of intent from both of you

all forms that require a signature must be original.

boarding pass proving you met in the last 2 years

a couple of pictures and you should be fine

if your sponsor meets the the 125 percent over the mini poverty line that's all that matters.

NO don't waste your money on a lawyer if you don't have any major issue in your past which can complicate your application just follow all the sample forms on this site and you will be more then fine. I was asking the same question as you back in may and now my interview is next week.

  11. Not true.

ok so to get a better under standing I need at least 3 years of liquid assets available to qualify without a co sponsor. I already have $26000 in cash so I would only need assets of only $30000 more to qualify for 2 people(my finanee and I) right?

I have the deed and the pay off letter so it's not really an issue for me

  12. Hi everyone I had a co sponsor until last night I found out for some strange reason her tax prepare had her add everyone in her house to her tax return which makes absolutely no sense being that they are already adults all over 25.

so now I was planning on using a combination of assets(cash + real estate). I have about 26000 cash I would have to get an a new appraisal report if I plan on using the real estate, but what if I just got the pay off letter. .

so my question is if I have a pay off letter and the deed from the bank stating I just paid off the balance and it's fully mine will I still need an appraisal being that I just paid the remaining balance of 84,900 about a year and half ago.
