Eabbas, you and your family are in our prayers. I really hope that your daughter gets well and your husband gets here fast enough to be by your side though the whole process.

  2. If age difference is red flag then ya we have an age difference of 10 years but why didn't the counslate showed their concern of doubt, they even didn't ask me to show ur marrige pictures at the time of my interview while i had tons of evidence to clear their doubt. Never had any criminal activity.

I havn't wrote to the ambassador nor involved any congressman or senator, actually i dont knw the procedure how to involve them, thats y my topic is i need urgent advice. Anyways Thanks alot.

10 year age difference will be a bigger red flag if your wife is 10 years older than you are. Is your wife older?

  3. We were in similar situation. Embassy asked for more documents to prove bonafide relationship. We submitted the documents and after few weeks embassy sent us letter saying that case was being sent back to USCIC with recommendation for revocation, but they never sent the case back. After waiting for 2/3 months I went to Saudi Arabia and requested the Emabssy to give us another interview. The CO interviewed us separately and asked us the same questions. He then matched the answer and approved the visa.

My husband will be joining me here in the U.S beginning of next month Inshallah.

  4. thanx everyones.. i hope i will hear good news.. do yea knows how long its might take?

thanx yaar.. im also happy for yea urs is also over..yes he alreadu finished it and they will take it to embassy the medical people.. we dont do it in our country.. but i will send them e-mail by another 2 to 3 days to know if they received

The embassy had asked my husband to submit new medical and police report. They issued the visa the day after he submitted the new documents. So be patient a few more days, it might be over very soon.

  5. I was told in November 2011 that our case was denied via email and sent back to USCIS for revocation. My Senator also looked into the case and told me the same thing in January 2012. Well whenever I call the embassy, DOS, or send an email they all reply that I am not denied and our case is in Administrative Processing. USCIS has no record of it being revoked. We have also requested our documents back but the embassy says they cannot give them back because they are actively working on our case. I just don't understand this conflicting information! I sent them an email this week asking about what is going on and attaching the conflicting correspondence that I have from my Senator and from the Embassy. Is it possible that the embassy sent it back to USCIS and they reaffirmed it and it was sent to a different consulate officer for review? I did make a formal complaint about the previous consulate officers we dealt with becuase they were very abusive, and made false accusations of marriage fraud against us. I am wondering if my complaint got back to the embassy and they decided to not deny it? I am wondering if this is a possibility. Please give me your opinions, thanks!

Exactly the same happened to us. My husband had his interview on April 9th 2011. After the interview he was asked to submit more proof of relationship which we submitted within a week. Then after 3 weeks embassy sent back my husband's passport saying that his visa was denied and was being sent back to USCIS for revocation. The reply was same to the senators inquiry. I waited for a month and case was not back. In June I went to Saudi Arabia and called the embassy. The staff at the immigrant visa unit told me that the case was still in the embassy and was being reviewed by the senior consulor officer. They sounded like the case was never supposed to be sent back. I requested them to give us a second interview to make a decision and they did call us the second time. They interviewed us both with the same questions separately and then approved us for the visa. That was in August 2011. I was lucky that back then US embassy in Saudi Arabia was accepting phone inquiries for immigrant visa. So, I got to speak to them and make a request.

I think they want to send your case back to USCIS, but they do not have strong grounds to do it. I read that consular officers have need to fit a case into certain guidelines before they can send back to USCIS. Keep contacting the consulate. If emails dont work send registered letters. Hope things work out for you and your hubby soon.

  6. By Allah's Grace I received me visa today!

I... I'm floating, the feeling is so overwhelming despite having fantasized about this day the last 18 months. My journey began in late September 2010, and finally it's reached a point where 'tis now under me control more or less.

Without VJ - this thread in particular, kudos to EAbbas - I don't think I'd have made it with me sanity intact. I consider myself the epitome of the manly man, but I have someone in my life who can move me to tears, and I'm proud to call her mine everyday.

This is difficult; the journey, the love, the wait... but we can all do this. It requires patience and a lot more honour, but it's doable. I'm ecstatic today to get the visa in hand, and I'm extremely proud to call you all my friends, without whom this would have been a hardship. Thank you all and God bless.

Congratulations. 18 months is a long wait. You have passed the ultimate test of patience. I wish you and your soul mate all the happiness and a peaceful life ahead.

  7. I can't be happier for you ... im so thankful you are completed and finally finally going to be together!

    Emmy thanks for your support.

I hope your hubby gets visa veryyyy soon. You have been waiting for a long time. Did you find out from DOS if there was any recent updates or notes made on your case?

thats a long time u been wait.. im sure ur the happiest person in the world now.. be happy in ur rest of life just like that.. wish u all the best.. may allah keeeps ur smile just the way it is right nw

    Thanks rozi.

  8. How did you write them?

I found the Ambassador's name from the website and addressed him directly in the letter.

    Registered Mail?

I sent it regular mail. found the address on their website. The address was bit different and looked like a local US address. The post office told me that it was a US army base [/b]address and could be sent with a regular stamp.

How did you get their emails?

Congrats!! I hope your family is reunited soon

And was your letter emotional or just professional with facts?

The tone was professional with facts.

  9. Dear all, after spending 11 months in AR and AP my husband's IR1 visa was issued today. The time in AP was ultimate test of Patience. Please read below as it might be helpful.

After being on mandatory AP/security name check for 5 months (2 months in Administrastive review before that) I wrote a letter to the Assistant Secretary of consular services at State Department. I got a response from them in January, the response was a formatted letter that they send to all petitioners who inquire. Having no luck with my first letter in mid January I wrote a letter to the Ambassador of United States to Saudi Arabia (since our case was processing in the embassy in Riyadh Saudi Arabia). End of January the embassy contacted my husband and asked him to provide a signed statement saying that he has never been arrested anywhere in the world. My husband sent the letter through FedEx early February. Few days after that my husband was asked to submit new Police certificate and new medical report. At the same time the chief of consular section wrote me a letter regreting the delay in processing our case. He mentioned in the letter that he was writing to me according to the request of the Ambassador. He also said that the case will be completed as soon as the embassy received the new police report and new medical report. My husband submitted the documents on Saturday March 3rd and visa was issued on Sunday March 4th.

People who are going through long AP, don't sit around. I tried calling senator and congressman, but they only got regular formatted responses. So, I decided to try myself and with the mercy of Allah our AP came to an end finally.

  10. Alhamdulillah with the mercy of Allah my husband's visa has been issued.

I called DOS about 10 minutes back. The lady told me congratulations your visa has been issued on March 4th, 2012. I asked her again are you sure? She said yes and wished me good luck.

Waiting for passport to arrive through DHL. I can't beleive AP is over. We spent 11 months in AR/AP. 4 months in AR followed by 7 months in AP.

I hope all of you see an end to your AP soon.
