  1. It has been a month and 3 weeks since I filed for I-30. I am wanting to go visit my husband in Lebanon while its still processing IF it doesnt cause any problems. So does it? Because i heard of someones story but I dont know if it is true, The guy left the country while still in processing and their whole case took like two years because of that. I dont really know the whole story.. but anyway did any of you leave the country while in processing for like only a month? I only want to go for like a month during christmas and new years.

I think if you can, but long as you have a job when you get the approval.

that is very important that the officer who takes your case, that you spent time with your husband, but at the same time you asked vacation time at work.

you will have to fill the affidavit of support when your request for i-130 is in the NVC,

and for that you need to verify that you are working and earn enough money for you and your husband.

You can ask the USCIS and ask if you can go for 1 month out of the country.

  2. she said:

My question is''Can I go and try and get a tourist visa to come visit me?''

yes, your husband can apply for tourist visa, but they will not give a tourist visa, because he already has agreen card petition.

you can not go to get a tourist visa to your husband, he has to do it alone. but as I say, it is not given.

so tell your husband not to spend money on a tourist visa not will give it to him.

my English is not perfect no0pb.gif, so apologizeinnocent.gif for writing that I make headbonk.gif, you can laugh as I write.rofl.gif

  3. ok, you not understand!

clear that she can apply but you have to be realistic, they will not give TOURIST VISA! you do not confuse it, and do not think that she can give it a tourist visa.

I had that experience and the officer was very clear with me!

any person who already has an I-130 sent to USCIS, CAN NOT GET THE TOURIST VISA.

    Why? I asked:

and the officer said that now that I have a file i-130 and I have intentions to migrate to the United States. clear that this is true, I want to be with my husband as fast as possible.

WHY NOT GIVE THE TOURIST VISA. MAY APPLY, BUT WE DO NOT GIVE THE TOURIST VISA.

AND THERE ARE OTHER VISAS AS THE HUMANITARIAN AND IT IS ONLY IN EXTREME CASES AND EMERGENCY.

  4. you can not apply for a tourist visa.

you already have a migration process and will tell you that you have to wait to complete your process.

do not waste your money on getting a tourist visa.

happened to me the same. and the officer told me as I am the wife of an American citizen I have the right to have a green card.

I went to get the tourist VISADES before applying for a green card and was denied.

    good luck!

I filed an I-30 for my husband in augest and we are waiting for NOA2. My question is can he go and try and get a tourist visa to come visit me? Also, if he does go and they deny him, they will stamp on his passprt no-visa, but would that become a problem too? I really want to see him but dont know how without messing things up..

  5. remember to be patient! fiscal year just started,

so we have to wait until mid-October. be positive friends!good.gif

Igor's list is accurate, I think, to the extent that people self report. And...the numbers depend on which service center / application you are looking at. For CSC, I-130 there have been a bunch of June approvals...but it seems like they are taking a vacation this week :(. VSC seems to be pretty much done with August! Texas also is well into August. Wah! Lucky filers there :)

We're coming, we're coming...just around the corner. And if NVC is speedy, who knows...maybe a Christmas present. I'm not getting my hopes up for that, though.

  6. Hi everyone. I called USCIS today as I noticed my husband name of NOA1 shows up only with his first and last name. In Dominican Republic a person's full name is used (first, middle, last name, and maiden last name). I went ahead and spoke to a representative that fixed the information for me and gave me a confirmation #. I was wondering how does this change affect the process of my approval...I am hoping that since they have to go into the file to fix the info they might as well finish thru to the approval to get it out of their way (or atleast I hope thats what they are thinking...lol). Anyone know the effects of having something fixed on their NOA1?

do not worry! they did the same with me, here in Mexico also uses the full name, for example my daughter has 2 names and 2 last names and only put ''Mia Lizarraga'', only 1 name and 1 last name, but do not forget that the United States uses only one name and a last name, which is why I do not care,

The green cards will come with the full name. DO NOT WORRY!

  7. hey!!!!!

we are in the same boat!!!!!!!

same history!!! and both we are July filers!!!!! LOL

My husband, a USC, also filed IR-1 for me and IR-2 for our two year old son (the petitioner is the biological father). I was the one who signed for the G-325a form in behalf of our son.

My husband filed a separate G-325a and I-130 for our son since he got his US citizenship just recently (June 2011). When our child was born in 2009 my husband was still an LPR making our son a Filipino citizen at his birth.

    Are we doing things right?

  8. is correct, it is necessary to fill a g-325 for your child, but if you want to fill, do it,

there is no problems, simply do not need to fill it.

I fill it by mistake! because my husband send the application I realized that there was no need to fill for our daughter.

but did not reach us no claim or something from the USCIS, it's all right.

    good luck!!!!

  9. well, she don't say nothing about ''step children'' but your are right.good.gif i tell her o see the instructions.

Correction: No G325a is used for step children of a US Citizen. Please see the list of required items in the I-130 instructions. Much of the same information will be needed later on the DS230 visa application but NOT when filing the I-130. A parent can sign in behalf of a child on the DS230.

  10. LUCKY YOU MEN!!!! CONGRATS ON THE APPROVAL!!!good.gif

SURE THAT YOU WILL HAVE THE SAME LUCK WITH THE NVC and interview!

Yes we were calling often. Once while talking to them on the phone my husband filed for expedite. I'm not sure about what i'm about to say, but i think the fact we were calling often, husband called to change his address, and then asking for expedite.. it maybe got our file to move around and get on top of the pile?? I don't know ... that or the fact we both have jobs which require high security clearances, which makes a background check fast and easy to do.

  11. congrats!!!!kicking.gif HASTA QUE ESCUCHO QUE ALGUIEN DE MEXICO FUE APROBADO!!!!!!kicking.gifkicking.gif

GOD BLESS YOU innocent.gif & GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!! good.gif
