Hey guys,
I'm starting to put together my I-751. I'm filing on my own, after getting a divorce because he cheated on me and lied to me for a long time. It says to file anything that could be related to the demise of the relationship - I have photos I took of the texts they sent each other, as well as screen grabs of presents he sent to her. Do I submit these as well, or is just saying that he was unfaithful to me enough evidence? Any advice would be great!

Hi everyone,
Long story short, my husband has been cheating on me and now I'm looking to file for divorce. My ROC wasn't due to be issued until early next year, but once the divorce is over, I'll be filing by myself straight away. It was a legitimate relationship, and I have the proof.
Is there any reason to be scared that I won't be approved? I've created a life for me here now, with supportive friends and a good job.

Hi everyone,
I'm just filling out and getting the I-864 form ready to submit with my AOS documentation and was wondering the following?
- Does a Record of Account from the IRS act as a transcript? It states it outlines current information for this year and the past three years.
- Does my husband need both the tax transcripts AND W2s for each tax year, or will one over the other suffice?
- Having not been above the poverty line for the 2008-2010 tax years, but being above for the 2011 year (which can be verified via letter of employment), will this be a problem?
Hope you can all help because it's much more complicated than the I-134!
Cheers!

Well, I sent it Registered Post on 29/08, and it finally came up on the Tracking Online as being scheduled for delivery on 05/09... The next day it changed to 'Accepted By Facility' and then Scheduled For Delivery 06/09. I called them to see what was going on, three times now.
1. The lady couldn't even see the tracking info I could see on the net. She tried calling the Delivery Centre to see if it was there, but they had gone home for the day at 2:00pm. She said to call back the next day before noon so if she could catch them.
2. Called the next day and got a guy that said they didn't do that, and to wait a few more days to see if it registers anywhere else on the system as the scanning procedure might not have been followed. He said he couldn't launch an investigation without asking the addressee if they have it. The Consulate says you can't email to check to see if they've received the documents but he didn't understand that. He basically left the conversation stating he didn't know where my package was.
3. This lady launched an investigation, which will take about 10 days, after I went on a tirade that the whole point of registered post was to track it. She then said "Oh, we don't deliver to levels". That's the address the Consulate gave us to send to, so of course you can deliver there.
It was my Packet 3 with all my original documents, I'm freaking out and so anxious. Someone please tell me it will be ok!

I've already sent it off with that information - does anyone else think it'll be a major drama?

Hi everyone,
On my DS230 and other accompanying Packet 3 documents, I have put Unknown as my address that I will be staying at when I am approved. This is because my fiance is currently living with his parents in an effort to save extra money, and will look for an apartment for us when I've got my visa in hand.
Will this be ok at my interview? I figure they tell us on the form not to action anything massive until we've been approved... I'll be able to let them know before I enter the country - will this suffice?

Expedia.com is a good site to check for the cheapest flights.
I'm using Grace Bros for moving my stuff - got a quote on 15 boxes for $1500 from Perth to Oregon.

Phew!!! Thank you.
-
I'm guessing that means I'm ok?

Can anyone help??? Please!!!

It was the DUI in Australia.
-
Hi everyone,
I was convicted of the traffic offence of a DUI in Feb 2010, my first offence, which was a fine and suspension of my licence for three months. Will this stop me being able to getting approved for my K1 at all?
Hope you can help - my fiance is freaking out a little over it...

The instructions for the I134 don't say anything about tax returns unless you are self-employed... I believe the Affadavit of Support that gets signed during the AOS timeframe is when tax returns come into it...
-
My Packet 3 states that I need the I-134 filled out as this may be required at the interview. That's all good - we've filled it out and it's on its way to me via mail. Just wondering if I need to send that with all my other application forms, or do I hold onto that until the day of the interview?
-
Hi everyone,
The instructions for the I-134 form state that you will only need a letter from the bank, and a letter from your employer. I've seen people putting pay slips and tax returns in with the application from the forums... Is there something I'm missing on the instructions?

They received our information on 21/06, so not too long to wait at all. Of course, after the Initial Review screen daunting me for months something new was better than the same!

Just did the usual checking of the USCIS website on the way home from work, expecting to see that they're still processing our RFE but we're approved!!!
My fiancee is asleep in America, and I'm on a bus so I can't squeal out loud, so wanted to tell everybody!!

If this is for the K1, you have nothing to worry about. The average waiting period is six months, so you might not hear anything for a while...

Anticipating getting my NOA2 any day now, so was just wondering where do I find the information on where to get the medical exam in Perth, Australia?
Alternatively, does anyone know doctors in Perth that perform the exam?
-
How were you able to do your medical without a case number? I thought it had to be done at certain doctors with specific forms that they have in Packet 3?
Sorry - deviating a little from your question here, but I'm in Australia too and just wondering if I could do the same thing!
-
It was just asking for evidence we'd met in the past two years (our photos that we sent in weren't date-stamped) and his passport photo was the wrong size. Yay! Simple and straight-forward!

Hi everyone,
I got an RFE when I looked at my Case Status online today, stating that they're requesting initial evidence. What's the difference between initial and additional evidence? We sent coloured photos with the original packet, so a little confused.
Good news is they touched our case!
HELP! I-751 Request For Evidence
in Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion
Posted
Hey everyone,
I've just received an RFE from USCIS for my removal of conditions for my I-751. Trouble is, I sent them pretty much everything I could think of first time around. Any suggestions? My RFE got sent to my neighbour in error, so I only have a couple of weeks to send it back in. I have no idea what to do and I'm freaking out.
This is what I sent the first time:
- Copy of Notice of Entry of Judgment regarding the divorce
- Copies of various Christmas cards, anniversary cards and my correspondence with my ex-husband's mother
- A cheque for $590, for the application fee and biometrics fee
- I-751 application
- Two statements: Ex sister-in-law, and one from my friend
- Copy of shared utility bill
- Copy of car insurance identification card
- Copy of Federal tax return and State tax return
- Financial transactions between ex-husband and I
- Copy of lease agreement for our apartment
- Divorce decree
- Some photos of ex-husband and I
- Additional information for application i.e. List of Addresses
