Thanks. I just don't want any signals mixed up between St. Lukes and the embassy, because I've read they can deny your application due to a snafu and then we would have to start all over.

We have our interview in the Manila embassy scheduled for June 5th. My wife is already there doing the med exam. Today she found out she needs to go back June 4,5, and 6th to have a sputum exam. She had problems with her lungs when she was younger, but her most recent visit to her doctor in Bacolod found nothing wrong after a chest x-ray.
The people at St. Lukes hospital told her she will need to wait 2 and a half months before she can get the interview. They said they will inform the embassy to re-schedule her interview. This really sucks coz I'm leaving for Manila June 1st. I was gonna be with her for the interview.
My question is... Do you think we should show up for our scheduled interview on June 5th just to let them know about our setback with the med exam? I don't really want to leave it up to St. Lukes to notify the embassy about a new re-scheduling date. Any advice helps... Thanks.

The main reason is that my 84 year old mom has Alzheimers and I'm the only one taking care of her. I'm already starting to look into options for being able to be with her for the interview.

It looks like my wife's interview with the embassy in Manila will be sometime in May or June. That would put the last time we were together in person just over 1 year. Will immigration say something about the length of time I haven't seen her in person?

thanks for the help. so she can maybe do the seminar like a day or so before her med exam and interview? coz the name on all the paperwork visa is in her married name. or should she go do the seminar as soon as she can and then have her new phils passport ready for the interview?

do you know if she can schedule the seminar while she has the med exam and the interview? or does she have to do the seminar first?

We got married in the Phils. Can she change it in Bacolod? Or does she have to go to Manila? Then she has to go to a seminar? What is the seminar for? I thought you just had to get a med exam and then an interview at the U.S. embassy.

My wife wants to change her maiden name to her married name on her Philippines passport. Does anyone know anything about how to do it? One of her friends said she has to go to some kind of seminar before she can get it changed.

I was wondering if my wife would be able to get a waiver from certain types of vaccinations during her pregnancy. I've read that the Varicella,Measles,Mumps, and Rubella, vaccines shouldn't be given during a pregnancy.
