  1. Alright, I need your advice.. I am currently unemployed at the moment and looking for a job.. my Fiance's visa interview in Manila is about a week away.

I have my dad's co-sponsor which he makes plenty enough to support.

I ask for advice if we should reschedule her interview because I (the primary sponsor) might get my fiance denied because of my unemployment. I have decent amount of savings but from what I read its the "current" income that really counts. I have my IRS transcripts in the last 3 years and i made 26K last year. I also included my last 5 last pay stubs few months ago i made before I was laid off. My main problem is I don't have letter of employment.

Or should me we risk it if hopefully nice consular would accept our co-sponsor.

Also what happens if her affidavit is denied? do we start over or do they reschedule interview until I have income? It would be devastating to wait more months or start over...

    help :(

  2. I'm kinda in a similar situation but I lost my job for months now, I made plenty of when I was working for the past 3 years but now im unemployed for 6-7 months now and I'm worried about this affidavit.

I'm hoping for what people say co-sponsors from my parents would help not affect the process. We already got our NOA2 approved and just waiting for the next step.

Has anybody actually gone through the process and been successful even if you're unemployed during the process? I hope this would bring some light and confidence to us... Its been a tough economic time.
