  1. Am I able to apply for a Work Authorisation Permit, once I've entered the US and have my Social Security Number and my own bank account? Do I have to wait until we've submitted my AOS application?

I know I cannot work without a Work Authorisation permit...

Thanks again in advance for your help!!

  2. Totally not true for London. Your consulate may be different.

You have enough. 100% positive. London does not have any required item for proof of income as long as you prove it. Two proofs is plenty to cover the "just in case" worriers. Pick from ANY of these examples:

    • Tax return info--transcript OR photocopy of actual return with W2 (just the one most recent)
    • Pay slips
    • Letter from employer
    • Bank statements showing investments/assets if the income isn't up to 100% of poverty level
    • Pension statement or Social Security benefit statement if retired and no salary

    Thank you :)

  3. I have all the tax transcripts and payslips from my fiance with his Affidavit of Support all ready for my interview at the US Embassy in London, UK, I have everything else I need too ready:) BUT I have just been reading some of the very helpful UK interview reviews, and they are all mentioning a letter from their fiances employer. One even says that the first person you give your documents to keeps the letter from the employer along with the Affidavit of Support.

Do I need to ask my fiance to get a letter from his employer and what should it say???

I am now very worried that I don't have this, and I am waiting for a letter from the Embassy now to tell me when my interview is.... I've told them I'm ready for interview!!!

Your help would be MUCH appreciated, as it was before!! Many thanks in advance :)

  4. Its coming! leaving for london tomorrow night. Getting the sleeper, getting a mcdonalds breakfast then straight to the embassy!

printed outs screeds and screeds of evidence, and now ready to roll!

Feels like its come dead quick when it really hasn't, being 7 months and all :-P

A question... is the photo place in goulds? or the embassy itself?

Congrats on getting this far!! Good luck for your interview!! :)
