Hi everyone! I need your expert advice. I am currently a lawful permanent resident here in the US (CR1 category) conditional status. I Plan to travel to the Philippines in May this year for 3 weeks with my family. My greencard will be expiring in September of this year in which I have to file for removal of conditional status sometime in June just the right time when I will be back from my vacation. My concern is will I be able to travel outside the US even if my greencard is expiring soon? Or Do i need to wait for my conditional status to be removed before I can travel outside US? I appreciate your opinion especially anyone of you who have experienced this. Thank you.

did you get email or mail about your CASE upgarde from NVC???
Yes. I already received email from NVC about the upgrade but my case is still for review and to be completed. By the way, how do you update your timeline here in VJ? I already updated mine but it wont appear below my post. Thanks!

I sent them an email. And inquire about my case status. About a week they replied and stated that it is complete. I also called their hotline and the operator told me the exact date it was completed.
Thanks for the info. I will ask my husband to call again this week to ask for update.

I haven't received nothing from NVC apart from the case number, did they notify your pertitioner any time they contacted you?
Yes. NVC sent me a letter stating my petition is now for further processing in which I submitted docs (DS 3032, DS 230 and civil docs etc). Im now waiting for my case to be completed and then wait for my interview date
You may contact NVC and ask for status of your petition.

Im case complete and just for PD to be current. I also know someone with PD of april2011 who's case complete also. Goodluck!
Hello I would like to ask regarding my case. Last march 20 i also received a letter from nvc which states that my case is already for further processing. My PD is February 25, 2011. I already submitted my ds 230 together with my civil docs last june wherein Nvc received it June 15. until now my case is still for review. Were you notified that your case was complete? Im still waiting for it to be completed so I can be scheduled for interview soon since my current status became CR1 from F2A.

Hello! My visa petition became CR1 from F2a, I was wondering what would be the next step because we already submitted all the required documents prior the upgrade. How long is the waiting time before i get interviewed? Your help is much appreciated.

My husband called the NVC and the agent he talked to mentioned that she was going to have a supervisor approved the change and then schedule for immediate appointment. Does that mean that I will be scheduled for an interview soon???

Hello there! My husband already got his citizenship last may24 and upgraded his petition for me (F2A). He then emailed NVC and got a reply last june 6 that they already received proof of citizenship and already upgraded his petition for me. So last week, My husband contacted NVC via email and inquire for status of my petition but the reply was this: It is currently on a list of completed cases awaiting the availability of visa numbers. This petition will be eligible for an immigrant visa interview when a visa number is available per the Department of State's Visa Bulletin. So we got confused bec as what we knw If My hubby will become Citizen, I no longer have to wait for my visa number to be available. Can anyone help me?? Thanks!

After he is a citizen he will contact NVC and send proof to them. They should then take your petition out of storage and send it to the embassy.
how long will it take until i get to be interviewed? so this means sooner? thanks.

Hello There!! My husband is an LPR filing for petition for me (spousal). I would like to ask for your opinion because my husband will already take his oath this coming May 24th for his naturalization and expedite my petition. While he was still on the process for his naturalization, NVC already contacted me and asking for ds230 that was last march (priority date is feb 2011) which I already submitted and now asking requirements like my photocopy of my passport, marriage cert, birth cert, police clearance etc. and Im about to send the requirements next week as soon as I get my passport (renew using my married name). My question now is how long will I have to wait until I get to be interviewed? will it be soon?? or do I have to wait like a year or so.. Please I need your expert opinions. thanks so much!

Please read the first two posts to see the sequence of events at NVC. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/354975-nvc-filers-march-2012/. Also you don't get a visa till you go through the interview in your country at the US Embassy/Consulate.
thanks for the link.
