  1. So sad both my husband and daughter put on administrative processing. They a in different countries and have been given different reasons. My husband was told they need to investigate why he did nit come with me when I won.the DV in 2007. He could not because he was in another country and could not be in the country I was for the visas. And financially we could not have made it for two people how long do we have to wait. My daughter there were missing documents , guardianship letter and biodata form which I supplied, then they said why am I working as nurse without a degree in America, which I explained to them that you can work as a nurses without a degree showed them my proof of employement. Pay stubs and nursing license. Then they said my 2009 taxes have discrepancies, they want to know who did them, how I know the person and why I choose to go to that person. I gave them all that info and the info for the agent that did my taxes. They wrote me e mail saying they will tell me when they will proceed with my daughter's case. I am so depressed right now, don't even know what to do and can't even afford a lawyer right now

  2. (NOTE: Numbers are available only for applicants whose priority date is earlier than the cut-off date listed below.) i dont understand how that ####### works, anyways if the vb still moving like is moving i think the next 2 vb my case should be current, some people say it should be curent if hits my 22 others say june

F2A numbers SUBJECT to per-country limit are available to applicants chargeable to all countries EXCEPT MEXICO with priority dates beginning 22MAR09 and earlier than 22APR09. (All F2A numbers provided for MEXICO are exempt from the per-country limit; there are no F2A numbers for MEXICO subject to per-country limit.)

so if the next vb hits may22 i think what says in the paragraph i just paste should apply

call NVC just got my husband's interview 9 feb his PD MAY 17 09.

  4. Guys I need your help my husband was born in Zimbabwe and is still a citizen of Zimbabwe, in 2007 he went to New zealand and became a permanent resident . I filled for him I 130 in 2009 his pd is may 17 2009. But now he has moved to Australia and will most likely loose his permanent resident status for New Zealand in January. Should I change his address or jus leave it since his pd is do close. We were hoping that his pd will become current before he looses his status in NZ because thats were he is suppose to have his interview. If I change the add now and country will that affect his case.please help.

  6. Okay, so we got our 1-130 approved. Mailed off Packet 3 to the American Embassy in Seoul. We also had to mail them a form to submit to the New Zealand police so the New Zealand police can do a "full" background check on my husband. We thought, cool, no problem. We have had to order background checks from New Zealand for work (we're international teachers) and were always amazed because NZ got us the background checks in about a week.

Turns out, when it comes to getting a greencard the New Zealand police take at least 30 days to do a background check. WHY? I'm just wondering, pure curiosity, what are they doing? Why does it take a week to order a background check for work but it takes 30 days to get one for a greencard?

So now my husband and I have just kind of ground to a halt. We were so happy because it only took 3 weeks for our I-130 to get approved. Now we're just...well...sitting here.

Has anyone from New Zealand ever run into this?

eye opener my husband lives in christchurch so i guese we have to do the police clearence as soon as we get the interview date
