    Expiration Form DS-260

    It's probably when its OMB certification expires. Until a new version of the form is released it doesn't really matter.

    Every document has an expiration date. Many times they will revise a document and put a new expiration date on it. Sometimes they don't revise a document so the date seems to have expired, but you can still use the document.

    If you are submitting a document before an expiration date, you are fine. If you are submitting a document AFTER the expiration date, you need to double check to see if there is a new one. If not, then you can still use the old one.

    On form DS-260 by mistake I answered wrong to the following question :


    Have you ever been refused a U.S. Visa, been refused admission to the United States, or withdrawn your application for admission at the port of entry



    The correct answer is YES . The reason why this question was answered incorrect was that I got confused with the meaning of the question. My understanding was to advise if the admission was denied at the port of entry, however, there was never a refuse to the port of entry. I need some advice for it , please!!!

    Romanian Passport Renewal Question

    Greetings all.

    We need some help. My wife (Romanian) and I got married last April, we didnt know we would need to register the marriage in Romania in order to get her passport renewed. We have tried to contract the Romanian Embassy in Washington DC by calling and emails.

    Wife has her greencard, and NC Drivers license. and she has a US job. We wanted to travel to RO next spring.

    Here is what I would like to know:

    Has anyone delt with this issue. My wife's passport expires in 12/25/2016 - can she renew this in the US, and would she need to change her name to our married name, can she just renew the passport?

    What are the forms needed to complete this, I understand we will have to go to Romanian Embassy in DC and appear.

    Do we have to register marriage first? Can she just renew her currant valid passport and romanian ID in her maiden name?

    Does anyone know the exact step by step instructions to complete this task with the least amount of trouble???

    Any help or advise please!!

    Inainte sa plecati in Romania mergeti la consulat si luati " foaie de calatorie " eu asa am facut. Dar ar fi bine cu cel putin 2 luni inainte sa imputerniciti pe cineva din Romania sa va inregistreze casatoria la tribunalul din orasul in care a locuit sotia. Certificatul de casatorie v-a trebui apostilat , trimis in romania acolo tradus si apoi depus la tribunal.

    The sponsor regardless of having income or not has to complete out the I-864, if you are using the income of anyone else in your household on the I-864 that persons also needs to complete and sign the I-864a. This is what my mum did for me and my stepdad signed the I-864a.

    Thank you for your response Tracy and another question did you send original paper documents to NVC , because i asked an attorney to help me with next steps including I-864 and she ask me for $ 1500.00 which is too much for me , but she told me i have to send the original documents.

    This message means ur case is not eligible for consular processing.

    Have u received any e-mail containing NVC Welcome Letter (PAOSF) in a pdf format & in the subject header of that e-mail saying your CASE NO XXXXXXXXXX (PAOSF I-130 FOR NEOPOST DS-1200)??? One can find an AOS Invoice along with this welcome letter only and this makes sure that now the case has

    been eligible for consular processing.

    Sure , I received the case no and last week i received the invoive aos ( 4 pages) for $120.00 saying to go online and complete the six steps and the 1st one is choose an agent. and 2nd is pay fees.

    Did someone had problems trying to fill online DS -261 ? I am trying for 3 days but not let me to get in , is saying " Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please contact the National Visa Center if you believe that you have received this message in error. " I send over tha mail the amount of $ 120.00 but what to do with that DS-261 ( Choose an agent ) .Some help please
