      This time next week my wife will be on her way home!

      Stupid final exams is gonna prevent me from being at the airport...it's all good though as my entire family is going to welcome her home! :)

      I was getting super duper bombarded beyond my capacities to help once I posted our approval on VJ. It was like a someone released the flood gates lol. I'm gonna e-mail thru VJ here so we can chat about cricket. :)

      15 days for Kinnari to be home...hopefully there is a tad bit of snow on the ground for her arrival. :)

    My wife received her passport back from the Consulate today!! And the date for her arrival is now set, December 7th! The finish line to our visa journey is now in sight.

      Very good news.

      One thing about India is they do give you the run around but it's so rewarding to be able to pick up your visa the same day you get approved!

      Congrats again to both of you Ryan! So when is the Mrs. planning on coming home?

    It is officially 8 weeks. My grandfather is scheduled for emergency open heart surgery today. If something terrible happens, the embassy is going to get an earful because having my grandparents at our wedding is one of the reasons we chose to marry in the US. Dipu should have been here a month ago and we should be married by now.

      Yes.

      An example is the country of Pakistan. Both parties can have a clean record as can be and even the interview goes flawless, most people are still put on A.P (administrative process) for further background checks and it can take a good long time to process that as well.

    Dipu wrote an email to VFS asking for Packet 4 because he still hasn't received it. After sending the email, he logged off and left for work. As he opened his front door, there was Packet 4!!! Interview is August 3!!! I'M SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW, I GET TO SEE MY LOVE IN 3 WEEKS!!!
