I got my welcome letter today and it says my green card is good for 10 years
-
I got an email/text on saturday saying "On May 13, 2011, we ordered production of your new card...."
Then today I got the same text/email?? what does this mean...anyone else get the same emails twice?

First time I got my medical they said I was missing one vaccination and charged me a $100 for a blood test. It showed I didn't need the vaccination. This place was a rip off. I realized that later.
I got RFE for my medical because it ended up being out of date, I found a new place that was much cheaper and my vaccinations were good. Same vaccinations I had before
But I got my vaccination records from Finland. I don't knwo what kind of system you have back home but my mom was able to get mine from the health care system and she sent it to me.

I had my interview yesterday...little bit of waiting at first but once we got in, it was maybe 10 mins if that. I got approved!! I had a big stack of papers and only needed our kids birth certificates. no pictures, no joint account copies and not even a certified copy of our marriage certicate was needed. They don't do the stamps on passports anymore and the card should be in the mail soon. I didn't think to ask andthe officer didn't mention if I'll get a 10 year card, we'll see I guess

I called them just now and only 43mins away from home. i had no problem having an appointment to them because they know what im talking about. i have to bring my DS-3025 and pay $40. This is not bad for not having a headache explaining. Will be there tomorrow and hope everything will be alright.
I went to this office too, they're about 10 mins from my house Very quick and nice staff, I had to pay $195 though because I had to redo the complete medical.

Ugh! How annoying that they lost your application! At least your interview is coming up soon. How did you find out it was lost?
Good luck with the interview! Mine is May 12th.
I called USCIS. after seeing how so many other february filers got theirs approved and I had nothing, not even a receipt number for it, I called. Very frustrating!
Good luck with your interview!

Thanks jandr!
It makes me feel better to see Im not the only still waiting for EAD and AP (just saw Lee b is waiting as well)! I did get my interview letter a couple of weeks ago... so there has been movement with that. I was just hoping to get AP in time to join in on a trip with some friends.
I never applied for AP and last week found out USCIS lost my EAD application so I got nothing yet either. My interview is May 13th and I'm really hoping to get approved that day.

UGH!!!! I just got off the phone with USCIS. They've lost my I-765 application. I sent my I-485 & I-765 in february, received only 1 NOA
but didn't think too much of it until recently when I kept reading how most people get separate ones for each application.
The officer suggested I send in a new application. I have my AOS inteview on may 13th so I was just thinking of waiting for that, but he
said the interview doesn't mean much, there's no telling if I'll get approved that day or not, it might take months after it.
If you were not approved at your interview, how long did it take?
And also has anyone gotten their EAD application expedited? how long did that take?
-
Thanks!! That's what I was thinking too, just wanted to make sure.
Also should / could we bring our kids with us? Is there usually a long wait?

Hi!
I have a question about the interview. On the letter it lists all the documents I need to bring with me, unless already submitted.
If I've already submitted them should I still bring them with me just in case? the originals and copies?
Thanks!
-
I just got a text and email saying my interview is on May 13 th!!! I'm so happy!!
I was going to call USCIS about my EAD today but I guess it doesn't matter at this point. If
it's coming, it's coming, If it's lost and I would have to re submit it all that would take so
long no point even doing that.
After the interview how long does it usually take to get the green card? And if they
stamp my passport, could I start working that day?

Thanks for all the replies.
I first got the email and text notifications. I got 2 of each with the same receipt number.
Then I got 1 hard copy of NOA.
I got 1 biometrics appointment, code 3.
I wasn't really worried about it because the biometrics was the code 3 but more and more as I read
how everyone has different receipt numbers I started wondering. I might call, UGH! it's a pain to get
to an actual person though.
Haarp425, did your wife's NOA state it's for all the 3 applications?

Hi!
I sent my AOS and EAD applications in february. I only got 1 receipt number, it seems like many people get one for each
application. Could it be an issue that I only have one? Would I see any updates on my EAD on USCIS or does that only show
what's going on with my AOS?
-
Hi everyone! I've been reading this forum for a while and finally registered aswell
We sent the AOS package on Feb 12th, I'll have to fill in my timeline soon. So far I've done my biometrics and returned a RFE. Now waiting again.
I do have one question...I only received one receipt number. I didn't apply for AP but I did for EAD. My biometrics was for both AOS and EAD.
I've been checking USCIS for updates, impatiently waiting for my EAD to be approved but I just though that would it show up there because
of the only one receipt number. Did everyone else get a receipt number for each application?

If you get insurance through your husbands work you won't be denied for anything and there's usually
no need for doctor's exam or anything. If you get private insurance you can get denied coverage if you have
something. I'm not sure if they'd require you to have a doctors exam. They do ask you a bunch of questions
when you're applying and you should tell them everything.
We have insurance through my husbands job but I was shopping around for private insurances too. But we would
not have gotten anything better or cheaper.
$350 a month actually sounds cheap, we pay double that for family of 4.
