So much for having all your ducks in a row...I am really trying to love my new country. I love my family in India. But I am just completely disgusted with the prejudice, the bribes, the lack of work ethic. Thank God I know that he will eventually get his visa one of these days. But I sometimes wonder if it would be better if I moved there...then I remember how my manager said they would murder me.

I contacted my Senator and a member of his staff requested the information on how to expedite from the NVC. My employer wrote a letter explaining that I am required to travel for my work and that I have minor children at home and no family where I live to keep them overnight. Yes. I am done with the NVC because they approved my request to expedite and sent our file directly to the consulate. My Senator has been working with the Mumbai Consulate to get questions answered and find out where things are at. Good luck to you too! ~Dianna

I have been in contact with my Senator's staff. They told me that our paperwork reached NVC....Then I called....6 times on Friday. I got the NVC case number over phone and INN. Paid the AOS invoice last Friday. Trying to expedite our case so I am kinda driven and desperate at this point....will do whatever it takes.
