      Congratulations!! My wife is expecting also!!

      To answer your question regarding "family based visa," I will give you an example, a spousal visa is family based, a visa for parents of a US Citizen when the parents are moving (immigrating) to the US is family based.

      For your present case, your wife's parents would apply for a B2!

      Thanks, my wife's due date is November 11th. Unfortunately, I have no words of wisdom or a checklist for the B2 application, only my good thoughts and wishes.
