When I was scheduling my appointment in Montreal I checked sometime 3 and 4 times per day to see if any appointments would open up. Finally one morning I checked at 6AM and there was an appointment available. You have to remember that you are trying to schedule against all the other non-immigrant Visa applicants as well.
