LOL! I really hope that we will get the visa friday. I feel in my heart that we will because something just keeps telling me to book it like we have planned. Ill tell them I am escorting Saakashvili to my long lost cousin George Bush lmao.... I dont think I could pass as an obama relative

Also.. Congratulations on getting your wife here safely! That is awesome that your parents were able to come visit too! I am planning on us flying in through JFK and all our family is meeting there so we can have a big supra at a russian/georgian resteraunt there. That was his mom's idea although I'm sure he will prefer McDonalds over kinkhali at that point! lol

Wow ok! Hubby is in Tbilisi! The embassy told me 2-3 days and being that our interview is Nov 30th which is a wednesday the 3 days will be saturday. I want to book return tickets on that sunday. So I may take my chances and just book the tickets. I cant wait anymore lol. I figure worse case scenario is we have to change flight dates to that next tuesday if we dont get visa by saturday

Hi! I sent you a message about how your wife got her visa the next day but did not hear back from you. I am jsut curious if that was because she lives far from the embassy or did she pay a fee to speed it up? I am getting so nervous

The AVR system will update to say "Your case was closed on..." or you can call 603-334-0700 and get an operator on the line who will confirm if it has been closed. AVR takes a few days extra to update.

Looks like your wife was able to pick up her visa next day?? They told us it would be sent by courier within 3 days. Was your wife able to pick it up sooner because she lives far from consulate? Or was this just normal processing time? Just curious as we would like to fly back the saturday after interview!

Yes I thought it was a bunch of ####### too. I emailed the embassy and they also stated that the schedule for October was full. They did say that cancellations or re-schedules by others could open up a date for us and they would notify NVC asap if a date becomes available :-(

Yes my case is in the NVC black hole. I was approved on July 11th and as of 9am this morning my case is still not in the NVC system. I have sent research emails and everything and all they can say is to give it more time. This will probably cause our interview to be in October now :-(

Thanks for adding me! Yes our dates are very close! I am still waiting for my case number. They say my case has been in the office since August 1st and that it is not completely entered into the system yet. This morning the lady I spoke with di a lot of clicking on her computer and then said that it will be finished by the end of the week. I wont hold my breath lol

Awe man that stinks! My hubby speaks english fluently so he shouldn't have any problems just in case a translator isnt available. But it would be nice to be there to support him and ease his fears a bit. He is really intimidated by the whole "interview" word lol. He has been printing the lists of questions though and tells me he knows everything about me ;-)

They said you cant go? Others have gone? Oh goodness I wonder if they have made changes. Guess I am calling the Embassy before booking my tickets! From what I understood from them before was that spouses can go together for interviews but fiancees cannot. Bummer!

Ooh it will be nice to see how smooth the interview process is for her without you there. So far I have only seen reviews from Tbilisi where both spouses were there.

Unfortunately I am still waiting for NVC to input my case into their system. This has caused a huge delay for us :-( We are probably looking at a mid to late September interview date now.
