I am in love with a man in Turkey. I want to have him visit me in the U.S.

  1. Still needing advice......Would it be quicker to get married in Turkey and then apply for the spouse visa?? Or should we file for the fiance visa and get married in America?

one more thing, I am a ful time student right now, so I will not have proof of support for him if I file for the fiance visa. What about the spouse visa, do I have to show proof of support for that also??? This is so confusing!!

Yes, for both forms you need proof of support, but you can do it with a co-sponsor. I got married at Bogotá in the 2008 and the last year I came back to U.S. and filed for the spouse visa. AP means "administrative process", is an investigation of the case that can last for months. After one year wating for an interview to get his visa, they put our case in AP the day of our interview in the Embassy.
