  1. Hello everyone, i hope everyone its having a great end of weekend, let me start by saying that my interview was today at 10:00, it was a loooonnnnnngggg waiting time, i got to the USCIS office at 9:00am i didn't start my interview until 11:00.

anyways everything was smooth and easy, the question were really easy and nothing crazy, i started by the civic test and the writing which i passed. then the officer starting asking all the question in the Application.

after the interview was conducted, he congratulate me and gave me a paper that i passed the civic and writing test he asked me to step out and wait outside, after waiting 20 minutes another officer called my name hand me a form N-445 Notice of Naturalization Ceremony, they schedule my interview tomorrow July 25th.

what a great Birthday Present Thank You USCIS, my birthday its tomorrow by the way.

  2. Don't worry, just take what they want, I'm guessing you didn't send the tax transcript from previous 3 years.

    All,

I did my Bio yesterday June 06 it was quick and easy was out in 15 mins.

Today, i received letter from USCIS indicating that i have to bring additional documents to my interview. (This is an yellow letter, says on top THIS IS NOT AN INTERVIEW NOTICE)

I applied based on 3 years marriage to USC and for my 2013 return i filed parallel to mailing my package so didnt have the transcript at the time.

did any of you receive such letter?

i was anyhow planning to take these and another set of millions documents..

    should i be worried... :-(

    thoughts/Ideas?

    Letter says the following:

as a result of my applications complete review, USCIS have identified additional documentation may be needed. we recommend that you bring the documents lisetd below to your naturazliation interview to limit any potential delays. In the event additional documentation is required, you will be advised during your interview.

    USCIS recommends:

    - you have indicated that you are applying for 3 years marriage to USC.please bring all 3 years transcripts.

    - Bring all passports and travel documents including expired & current issued to you by any govt.

  3. I just wanna let everyone know that there is an app for phones/tablets called "uscis case status "and if you put your receipt number in..you will get an update every time something changes on your case without going online and checking it yourself..just an FYI..

Thanks but I pass, its not an official app, it required network communication and read your applications, maybe I'm overthinking, but the least I want it's to have my identity stolen; I know I'm overreacting lol

  4. Check your case status online, maybe a system glitch didn't sent you the message.

it's been 20 days since I had my bio appointment and I haven't received anything from the USCIS saying in-line for interview or anything! should I be worried? I see most people get a text from the USCIS saying they are in-line for interview after a couple days :(

  5. No response text or email from USCIS. And no NOA in mail so far.

Just saw the checks pending on online banking.

My mail come after 3.00pm so will update than if there is anything.

    Thanks

The same officer or person that sign yours sign mine, after it get to another person, you mention that you apply for you and your daughter so maybe it takes longer because they have to enter more data.

The error of DOB maybe it can be change during interview. Wait a couple days more

    Before making any assumptions.

  6. Luis25, your check cashed date is needed.

Thank you for adding me, thank USPS for not having money order tracking online. I will have to go to the postal office and fill out a form, pay 10 bucks and they will send me a letter. Never buying money orders from them.

let's just say it was the next day, I apologize for not having the I info.

  7. Yes its the correct answer explain that you were drafted and for how long. Remember if you put this info on any paperwork before it might comes out, so why risking it.

I am filling out N-400 now. Got into Part 11.

question 15. Were you ever a member of, or did you serve in, help, or otherwise participate in, any of the following groups:

    A. Military unit.

I was serving in Soviet Army in 1998. it was draft. does it count as Military unit?

what should I say "yes" and provide explanations, or No?

  8. Yes its better to be safe, just in case you are asked at the interview.

So I need to mention it. By the way, the fine was less than $500 so do I really need to have prove at the time of interview since I don't have any clue for that.

Thanks for everyone who replied to me......
