After reading this a little more carefully, did you say that the petition is already in Mali? Did the NVC give you a case number? It should start with a DKR2011, and if it does, then you're good to go, it will get to Dakar. If not, then you could try calling the embassy in Mali. The embassy in Mali is sometimes really slow to respond on e-mail. I would try e-mailing the embassy in Senegal too. Have you talked to NVC on the phone?

Hello all.
In fact i meant USCIS instead of ICE.
I should focus on tracking the Petition between Bamako- Mali, NVC, and Dakar- Senegal.
Thanks for the feed back.

Thanks for the prompt response..
Now i am little confused here. K1 appears like a hybrid between Non & Immigrant Visa. Will Bamako- Mali transfer petition to Dakar? contact the beneficiary and explain the process? or should i work out this here with US-ICE?. According to NVC petition is already in Mali which is not responding. Am i being impatient? since petition was approved May , 19/2011
Please help anyone with K1 BAMAKO-Mali experience..
Best regards

Hello all .
My I-129F was approved on MAY , 19, 2011 AND sent directly to Bamako-Mali according to National Visa Center.
I am seriously confused about where exactly K1 interviews are done for Malian fiance(es)?
Bamako Mali OR Dakar Senegal?. .
Also, Bamako is not listed on Department of State Website for US Accredited Medical EXAMINERS.
http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3739.html#Preparing_for_med_exam
I called US Embassy in Bamako this morning but the Embassy Rep advised me to sent my inquiries by e-mail..
I will e-mail the embassy right now but meanwhile I really need VJ family inputs specially those with or had their cases
related to US Embassy in Bamako Mali. Is there any web link with this Embassy specific for K1 processing. Their website make mention of K1.
once for the Form to file (DS-156/K)and a link to department of State website for processing fees ($350.00 per k Visa)
Any input will be appreciated

1) yes each person or child being interview will cost $350 and that is paid to the US Embassy in which ever way they require ( either payment at a bank or directly at the embassy)
2)the children get a visa valid for 6 months meaning they have six months to get to the US similarly to the k1 visa. also if they are follow-to join they have one year from the date the K1 visa was issued to request an interview and get a k2 visa issued- after that one year window they are no longer eligible for a k2
i hope that answered your questions
Thanks for your response.
What is the procedure to request the K2 visa within the one year window? Is there a specific form to file?.
Thanks

Hello All
I did some readings on US Dep OF State website http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/types/types_2994.html#16
but not clear about some issues.
I have 2 set of questions.
"K – Fiance(e) or Spouse of U.S. citizen category visa: $350.00"Us Dep of State website.
Does dependent(s)K2 recipient(s) also pay the same amount each? Assuming Fiancee applied with 2 children, Will the 3 visas
(ONEK1+TWO K2)processing fees be ($340.00x3)=$1020?. Are fees always paid to NVC or also at designated consulate at time of interview?
"Your children may travel with (accompany) you to the United States or travel later (follow-to-join). Like you, your children must travel within the validity of their K-2 visas. Separate petitions are not required if the children accompany or follow to join you within one year from the date of issuance of your K-1 visa." Us Dep of State website.
Usually k1 visa is valid for six (6) months. In other words recipient has six month to enter US. Will children traveling later (follow-to-join) get a k2 visa valid for a year? or travel later (follow-to-join)dependent should go back to consulate @ later date to get his her K2 visa?
I will ready appreciate your answers
Thanks

Dear KNW
In fact today 05/31/2011 i called NVC which confirmed that the petition was received 05/27/2011
and not send yet. I also received my e-mail response from US Embassy in Bamako. Their e-mail stated what you said;
Petition are sent directly to Dakar. The Embassy officer promised to get in touch with Dakar and update me as soon as possible.
I did not get NVC number. Should i keep calling NVC until i get a number?
Thanks
