You can get SSN using your passport using your legal entry..That will just be your temporary passport. Did you get married already? and apply for green card? Things here in the USA is not as fast and easy as we imagine...as what the say "patience is a virtue" the one who waits, will not have things to waste^^ god bless

I would suggest to let her resign for it usually takes several weeks to receive the visa via mail. And as a sign of courtesy to the employer I would let them know I'm going to resign to let them prepare for a lost employee...

The St. Luke's will going to re schedule you interview if necessary. You don't have to re schedule it by yourself. As long as you place your interview date. Just pray that sputum will be negative. They also said they found something in my chest xray but was negative in sputum. As long as your child doesn't have cough and afternoon fever, there's nothing to worry about...

I just applied for NCLEX exam in California but have no date in taking the exam yet.

I know when I graduated I'm gonna take NCLEX so I requested for fingerprinting card and went to NBI. They're gonna give you 2 fingerprinting cards but they only want one. I would suggest not to fill up the information like your last name on the card if the NBI employee will let you, if in case your going to change your last name when you applied. I went here to CA last year and from the time I have my SSN I went to http://www.rn.ca.go to fill up the application form. I suggest that you print pages 1-22 only because pages 23-24 are just list of review centers in the USA, which is not applicable for all of us. Read carefully all the instruction. I suggest that you start processing your application since California NCLEX processing takes more or less 6 months to process. After that I let my mother request my transcript. Even you have the transcript with you I'll suggest still request for it for there are also documents needed not just your transcript. I let my mother mail the transcript even school would do it, too. I suggest to really use the school's envelope and let them seal it. I let my mother mail it directly to the CA board of nursing. After I know that my mother already sent the transcript I spent 2-3 days processing the application here with the cashier check (includes the fingerprint card payment and application fee) because it would take 3-4 weeks for the transcript to arrive in the US. I'll just waited for the letter from the CA board and then register in pearsonvue after receiving the letter to have the ATT slip...I include some info below...Hope I helped...God bless

How to acquire and accomplish the Fingerprint card:

MANUAL FINGERPRINT PROCESS

1. E mail the Board of Registered Nursing: Webmasterbrn@dca.ca.gov

2. Your e-mail must include “request for fingerprint card” as email subject, your name and your complete address (don’t forget your zip code).

3. Start by emailing them and request for Fingerprint card so that they will send you 2pcs of FBI fingerprint card.

4. The fingerprint card is expected to arrive 2-3weeks after they received your email.

5. Bring it to National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

How to apply for Request for Transcript and Breakdown for Educational Program

for International Nursing Programs

1. Go to your school where you graduated and bring your two forms:

a. Request for Transcript

b. Breakdown for Educational Program for International Nursing Program

2. Pay for Certification

3. Then proceed to the Nursing Department and present the following:

a. Official receipt

b. Photocopy Related Learning Experience (RLE) Record

c. Original or photocopy Transcript of Records (I suggest give the original.)

d. Request for Transcript and Breakdown for Educational Program for International Nursing Program forms

4. Wait for the release. This may take more or less 5 working days.

5. If your forms are accomplished, have your papers authenticated, this is if you did not submit original TOR and RLE Records. Proceed to the cashier pay for Authentication Fee (P25 per pages-EAC).

6. Then submit the forms and the receipts to the registrars office.

My remarks: Don’t forget to ask for envelope! Everything must be authenticated!

And you’re done!!!

If I were you...Go to the Philippines and don't tell them that your going.. Book a hotel near your wife's family. And first thing in the morning surprise your wife and bring flowers or chocolates and tell her "you said you sick so I'm worried^^" then she'll feel bad if she lied. If you want to have a heart to heart talk. Do it on private place that noone could hear or see. I'll prepare when you're going to sleep. I'm a filipina and there are certain issues that most americans don't understand. Thats why we prefer being quite than to have arguments. I don't believe that Filipina doesn't wanna talk because we don't have the right to talk but I, on my part, just don't want shouting. We are raise in a close knitted family. If you compare US family and Philippine family, there is a huge difference. I would say I would give my young and fruitful life to my family which most americans would say that's very retarded thing to do but if you only understand. Thats how love of our family affects us. And for now being in the US for just a year wants me to go and stay longer time in the Philippines. That might be what your wife wants to do. Think about putting yourselves in our shoes.. You might think we like USA because there are lot of stuffs that we don't have back in the Philippines but there are also important things back there that we dont have here..being home...with friends and family..we love mingling...we enjoyed being talk^^

I did experience that...They said they found something in my chest x-ray and was advice to have sputum test. I don't know why they have TB skin test done. That was so lame to do. Most of the Filipinoes are positive of the TB skin test for we received BCG (immunization for TB) when were young. I wait for several months for my sputum results and it was negative..when I came here in USA they suggest to undergo X-ray again and been subject to skin test while waiting for the reading of my X-ray. I don't know why but I let them know I'm fully immunized and I know it will be positive but they still want me to have the skin test. I just chose to be quite and bear the pain. Result was 12mm positive skin test and the chest X-ray result was no possible TB disease in progress. I look up CD that St. Luke's give me, the chest x-ray image and found out that that was not the chest x-ray film they showed me in there small room explaining I got some spot. I felt bad about that. I don't know who's fault it is but I pretty sure that the Chest x-ray image save in the disk is not the same chest xray they present me when they explained I'm going to delay my visa. I remember an inch spot on that x-ray that keeps occupying my mind on where did I get that. I was thinking that I'm not that good nurse to be affected with my TB patients. I just want to share it with you that noone is perfect. I just hope you won't lost hope after several months doing the drug regimen... Everything have reasons.... ^^
