  2. Hello guys Happy New Year to all...sorry i didn't get the chance to update my case after our AOS interview last Dec 23 coz we are in a 2 weeks vacation right now

with inlaws, we will be back home next week.

    update to my case:

Last December 23, 2011 me and my husband had an interview for my greencard at Kansas City, MO. and we were approved on the spot, They've been

very nice to us and the interview goes very smoothly in about 30 minutes,First, He asked for my husbands ID and my pAssport, and then he let us in to the office. The IO ask us how our relp started, where and when did we meet, if i meet his family already, who was on our wedding, How was our wedding, my previous address before comin here in US, he asked me too about the yes or no questions in the AOS

forms, It was like a simple conversiation with a friend. My husband(petitioner) is very comfortable talking to him and that helps me a lot to lessen my nervousness. after asking us questions he said my green card will arrive in the mail in a week or 2 weeks, and that if we dont get it in 2 weeks we should call them. He gave us the Approved letter. He did asked for some evidence too and we handed him our car insurance that both our names are on it. we explained to him that we don't have any joint bank account yet and he says its alright, but we did showed him our house lease that my name is also included on it..so thats all we showed him those required documents in the interview email requirements has never been asked or check.

He mentioned too about my EAD and my AP he said it was never been send too the proper office, it was clipped in my file, he showed it to us. He said

he will not process it anymore coz im gonna have my green card in a week or 2.

I've never been happy in my life as we got approved in our interview, Thats the greatest Christmas gift, my Birthday gift (dec 27 is my birthday) and new years gift.

As soon as we got out of the building, my husband gave me a big kiss and a hug when we were walkin into our car.

I'm gonna give u an update again we i get my card in the mail..enjoying my vacation with my husband right now.

    Til nextime guys!!!! :)

  3. Additional Update: We already received the email, It was the Form G-56 which is the so called "interview notice", and they needed some proofs too about our bona fide relationship, tax returns, valid ID's or government ID's, Passport and I-94, my husband proof of US citizenship, our current lease or rental agreement and Marriage Cert. I need to bring the original and Photocopy of all of this stuff.

Here is my time line: AOS from K1

    Filed AOS: Sept 24, 2011

    NOA1: Oct. 03, 2011

    Bio: Oct. 28, 2011

    RFE: Dec. 13, 2011

    RFE Respond: Dec.20, 2011

USCIS received call for interview appointment: Dec. 20, 2011

Interview for green card: Dec. 23, 2011

  4. Update on my Case: Last week we received an RFE explaining why my husband was exempt in his 2010 tax, we mailed the request earlier today. Before noon, we got a call from USCIS asking me a free day for my green card interview, so me and my husband told her over the phone that we want to have an interview as soon as possible, so we decided to make it happen on Friday noon Dec 23, 2011 at Kansas City. I think this is a good sign that my papers are moving. She took my husband email number coz she says she will email all the required documents that we need to bring and the complete address of Kansas USCIS office. I just hope everything will be fine..

I never get an update to my EAD and AP, i think they forgot about it already, they're just concern about the green card.

Is it possible to have an interview first before EAD an AP? just curious..

  5. Update on my Case: Last week we received an RFE explaining why my husband was exempt in his 2010 tax, we mailed the request earlier today. 6. Just wanted to update my status with regards to the RFE that USCIS needed from me, well, they need a written explanation from my husband as to why his 2010 Income tax was exempt..we forgot to put an explanation in our package about that, He was been deployed in Kuwait year 2010 the reason why he doesn't need to pay tax at that year..We went to his tax preparer today and ask for a copy of his recent tax too and we will get it on monday, we're gonna include that in our letter as a proof also... ..i think it is all of my fault coz i didn't read the guidelines on affidavit of support. ..til' next update guys...Have a great weekend!!!

  7. hELLO guys, am back here in VJ again for more than 2 mos of being away, well few hours ago i received an email from USCIS stating REQUEST FOR EVIDENCE etc etc... ...i dunno as of now what will be the missing document in my packet but i will update u guys as soon as i will get the letter in the mail..

I just hope it is not that much Evidence that they needed from me..what a bad day i have today..been waiting for any updates in my case for almost 3 months but sadly this is what i got..well maybe today is not my luck then.. :(

  8. what happened to me in kuwait before was...i didn't receive any instruction from Kuwait embassy, but instead they emailed my husband(petitioner)all the requirements step by step, and my now husband forwarded those emails to me and i contacted the embassy..actually it was pretty quick coz i got all the answers from the embassy through email..but i did pick up a letter at the embassy for my police clearance..and then as soon as i completed all my requirements i informed the embassy that i am ready for the interview and i was the one who picked a date of my interview. What made my papers to be completed in 1 month was(took a long time for me)... I am from the Philippines and i needed some documents in the Philippines to be forwarded to Kuwait Embassy, so travel time of documents was the main cause of it...but embassy's/consulate have there own rules regarding this matter..so it varies.

Now, best thing for you to do or your fiancee is call the embassy and double check the appointment if it is legitimate, or you can email them and ask them about the said coming interview..

Try to send her all the necessary documents that she'll needed in the interview as in everything...double check your checklist and all the signature portions..

    Good Luck!

  10. For me, I would rather buy a ticket with matches to her name in her passport (less hassle for me as the staff in the airport might ask lots of questions and look for evidences as why her name in the ticket didn't match with her passport)..but I know people here in VJ might give u more information on what u need to do and follow as i don't have experience yet your situation..but i might early next year :bonk: ...But if you want to buy a ticket with her married name then u can do that too as I've read here in VJ that some did that and no hassle at all...just weigh which is which.. :)

  11. Call your Board of Nursing, or u can email them, i did emailed them and they replied me after an hour..my ATT is in my maiden name and I'm gonna change it to my married name, I am California Board too but I am here living in Missouri, I can change my Board but need to pay 50 dollars again, now, my plan is just to take the exam this October and transfer my Board of Nursing or let it be California board of nursing because we might be moving again to other state or country as my husband is in the army..

Try to call or email them sissy..it won't harm you if u inquire...best of luck to your journey..God Bless...

  12. Well technically the address should be:

    For USPS:

    USCIS

    P.O. Box 805887

    Chicago, IL 60680-4120

    For courier/express delivery:

    USCIS

    Attn: FBAS

    131 South Dearborn - 3rd Floor

    Chicago, IL 60603-5517

The last 4 digits of the zip+4 relate to the box location. At least they got it there considering you only had the PO Box, Town and state exactly correct.

Yeah, But they told me it will be surely delivered in USCIS chicago lockbox, the lady said their system corrected it,so they followed what is in their system (duhh!?)yeah right! that is why instead of 4120 they put in 4187...I just hope my packet will be sent safe as we really urgently need to finish my AOS coz we will be moving to South Korea on January. :(

  13. From what i have heard they need a police clearance on places that you've been stayed for 6 mos...i am from the Philippines too and i worked in Kuwait but applied my visa petition in Kuwait but the embassy required me NBI from the Philippines and Kuwait Police Clearance too..Just contact someone u knew or your relatives or friends in Australia to get u a police clearance just send 'em an authorization letter(but i dunno if this works) or go to Australian Embassy in the Philippines and inquire how will u get a police clearance..

I hope somebody here will help u with your queries..Just wait for 'em to answer your questions..
