  1. hello everyone in here...i am really confused now with regards to NVC case number, we got approved last april 6, and my US fiancée called up the NVC yesterday and ask if they already receive our approved papers from the USCIS and they said they don't have it yet..Now, i just wanted to ask if this NEW case number from NVC really needs for our next move or step or can we just wait for the embassy to contact me(the beneficiary) and send me P3 and P4? what are the advantages of having that case number in NVC?help pleaseee.. :help:

Hi, after you get the NOA2, the NVC will contact you via mail to let you know when they've shipped your application to the US embassy in your home country. In this letter, you will also receive a "new case" number which will begin with the letters of the city where the us embassy is located in your home country. This process usually takes 2-3weeks. After you received the NVC notification you will be able to contact the US embassy to see if they have received the application. Some embassies post on their website the cases that are ready for interview and cases they've sent the package 3. It'll make sense to check if you have that option. At last, just wait until the us embassy sends you the package but if it's too delayed ask them via email if you can instead download package 3 and book the interview.

    Good luck!
