  1. 2 days before i submitted my removal of conditions on my wife's behalf, our place was robbed!! they took something that had all my wife papers inside including SS card, foreign Passport, and green card. i just receive the NOA for the biometrics what can we do to complete this because she has no green card or passport or ss card. The only ID she has is a learners permit. the biometrics requires the green card. what are my options now.

    Hi Phil,

This is what you need to do. You need to first contact the USCIS and report that the greencard has been stolen. Explain your situation to them and I am sure they will issue a new greencard. I would suggest you do this as quickly as possible. There is also forms online to request a new one at: USCIS GREEN CARD REPLACEMENT. You can also contact the Social Security office and request a replacement card. I would first call them, though, and let them know what is happening and they can probably give you better advice than this. Prayers sent up in y'alls behalf.

    Blessings,

    Sarah

  2. Yeah, it completely depends on the case being sent to local office or CSC. CSC means longer wait. Local offices are sometimes backlogged as well. After your biometrics appointment, you'll typically get a notification on where your case gets sent to. Then you can take it from there and look into the processing time at the local office or the current processing times at CSC.

Please don't be discouraged from months of waiting for greencard if that will be the case. I literally did not notice a difference from only having EAD to having greencard. Naturally, it was good to have it over with but honestly, the EAD made it possible to get started with job, driving around and feeling like a human again(adapting). That took around 2 months from NOA1 to approved for me.

We didn't have the money to do the EAD so we have to wait for the greencard. But thankfully I make a decent living and because he hasn't been able to work and our income isn't as high as it would be otherwise, we were approved for a special home loan and will be moving into our own home at the end of November! So it all works out for the best!

  3. It is an exciting time that you are in indeed! I can remember last Christmas wanting to be with my Rezq so bad and being certain that our paperwork would be completed by then. But trying to guess when the government will get their stuff done is like trying to determine where the wind will blow next. Our NOA2 was approved in November but it wasn't until March before they scheduled Rezq's interview and April before he was coming my way. If you're coming for just a brief visit between now and then like you're thinking, then I can't see any reason why you couldn't come just like any other tourist. As for the interview date, THEY are the ones that will decide when that is and it is like pens and needles waiting for them after you've received your packet and send it back in plus they never do anything very quickly. :bonk: Rezq got his package in December (a month after getting the NOA2) and returned it ASAP but they scheduled the interview clear out in March. Rezq kept in continual communication with the Embassy about the scheduling but it still took forever! My best advice for you is to use this time in between to get all your loose ends done so that once you get that interview, you can leave to be with your (L) immediately following. That is what my Rezq did and we were so happy because the process is incredibly long even when you're at the end! Rezq got his Visa on the 9th of April and was here in the States perminantly on the 21st. The Adjustment of Status is another long wait (we're still waiting for his work authorization & green card) but when you're together, time doesn't drag on like it does when you're apart!

  4. I have a question that some of you veterans might be able to answer. My Rezq and I are still waiting on our NOA2 on our K-1 Visa. I've looked again and again on the flowcharts and so forth but I must be missing where to find the answer to my questions about the medical end of things. I know that when one comes here to America that they have to be up on certain shots to be able to enter the country. My question is, when should Rezq have these done? Is this something that comes after the interview or is he supposed to already have them done before the interview? Many thanks and blessings to all that answer!

  5. We have everything ready, just waiting on the paperwork for Rezq to come over! We have invitations made (date & time blank), church lined out for the ceremony, reception prepared, bridesmaids dresses are in, my dress is in, cake paid for, food for dinner after marriage paid for, etc. etc. etc. I'm not a bling bling girl myself but it will be a very pretty wedding and it will be perfect because at the end of it, we will FINALLY be married. Today was the last "estimated date" on my Visajourney timeline and still no paperwork. I'm giving it another month before I start inquiring on the paperwork. But all in all, I'm at peace with it because I know that when God's timing is here, we'll be married. It is VERY nice having everything in place and ready at the drop of a hat so that when he does finally get here, we can just do it!

  6. Yes, it is difficult the waiting but for me, I just keep praying and having faith that when Rezq gets here from Egypt that it will be God's perfect timing. We miss each other terribly. Today I skipped a family reunion because if I had gone, we wouldn't have been able to talk at ease. Saturday is the only day we can without one or the other suffering sleep exhaustion! LOL! My Rezq stays up until 12:30 am every night to talk with me for a few short moments during the week on Skype. Sunday's are usually busy for both of us so Saturday is our only rest day. It takes a little sacrifice to talk with each other, patience when you hear nothing, and for myself since I am a person of faith, a lot of prayer and reading the Word to get through the time apart. Plus as many hours as we can squeeze in to talk face to face each day through Skype. If we didn't have our time together, it would be miserable! I experienced that last Saturday because I went out on Saturday to watch my youngest brother play baseball and didn't get to talk to Rezq at all. I was miserable!! Chin up, my friend. It will all work out as it is supposed to. We just got to keep faith! Blessings to you!!
