I'm out of town right now, but my brother just let me know that my oath letter did come. I'm doing mine May 11 in Greenville as well! I'm so glad that I'm only a month away from having all this behind me! Hope your letter comes soon!

Well, I haven't been on here to update in a while, but absolutely nothing has happened since my interview. It's been 2 months now and I haven't seen any updates online, haven't received an oath letter or anything! I called USCIS today and all they did was read exactly what's online about getting an interview letter, if I asked a question, he would just repeat what he already said. I am now convinced that they train their phone operators in the best ways to annoy the customers!
Anyone have any experience waiting so long for an oath letter?
Hey TN_Canadian, Any news from your side on the Oath? gen& paul (january filling post) got their Oath letter in Greenvile,TN May 11. Theirs interview was March 30,11,and I think January filling. Ok just wondering,and I hope very soon. They told my spouse on April 7 that it will take 3 months. We will see.

For us, received special permission from my wife and stepdaughter to open any of their mail from the USCIS, would scan it immediately and with my computer on a network, would be stored on three other computers. Receiving mail was new to them in this country, Venezuela manages to lose 99% of their mail. Is history now, but printed out color photos of their green cards to carry with them, they were never asked to see them, and kept their originals locked up in my safe. Wouldn't have done this if the USCIS wasn't so unreasonable, lengthly, and super expensive for a replacement.
Stepdaughters interview was last February, in January, she had her wallet in a 150 buck jacket at the school library, went to use the restroom, it was gone when she got back. Called her credit card company, got that blocked and was 14 bucks for a new drivers license that only took her about 15 minutes. Thank God, or me, her green card was locked up. Police are totally worthless in these situations, don't ask any questions, just fill out a report. With US citizenship, don't have to carry your certificate, figure that out.
We had to send in a photocopy of my wife's expired green card and one year extension notice due to the long delays in I-751 processing. Already made an infopass appointment just two weeks before her interview, but her ten year card just came in. She only had it for seven weeks than had to turn it back in.
So, do you have a copy of your green card? Need that for your application so won't waste time showing proof you applied for another. Get more concerned about my women, don't even have pockets like us men have and have to carry a purse that is easy to steal. Or leave their wallet in a coat pocket. What a relief to get rid of that damned way overpriced card.
PLEASE, Never use google or other translation programs for SOMEONE ELSE post,becuase it will give misleading information to others. These programs give wrong meaning of information by using wrong words and sometimes no sense at all. You can always say or ask and we can post it in english as well.
I am REQuESTING that you delete or remove it. It is giving wrong meaning of the post. Thank you for understanding, and complying as well.

S.V.P Il ne faut pas perdre du temps,il faut appliquer deja pour une nouvelle carte. Tu as une chance a l'interview avec ca qu' avoir rien du tout. Ton recu viendra dans moins de 10 jours apres avoir recu ton application par l'immigration. Car moi j'avais connu un tell cas lors de mon voyage, il y a 2 ans. C'etais moin de 3 mois que j'avais recu la nouvelle carte,mais moins de 10 jours pour le recu. SVP, SVP ne perds pas du temps. Car ils auront besoin d'une preuve et leurs recu t'aidera comme preuve d'avoir perdu la carte. Bonne Chance et courage!

Just a quick question on the back of the Form N-445. One question 1. My wife and I are not 100% sure how to answer this question.
Have you married, or been widowed, separated or divorced? Should we select "yes" since we are married? Or select "no" since my wife who is taking the Oath didn't remarry after her interview? I was thinking of "yes". What did you guys put?
I am sure that these questions are for any change or whatever has happened after your interview.

@ East TN jcty, we stayed at the Holiday INN around GermanTown. It is nice and it is like 10 minutes drive to Virginia Run Cove. It is advisable to saty around germantown or Bartlett, since inside Memphis is dangerous. When we went last year july for my removal of condition interview, we stayed at the Wingate by Rodham at Germantown too. Be safe!

Sure, I slept like a baby after the interview day(tense before it and exhauted after it).I can not wait to know what will happen or be like after the Oath.... Ok guys,let hope for the best. Again congrate....Get some sleep. In suggestion where you guys stayed? (hotel). We will have to saty there as it an early one 0750am. I know they are many around.May be you have a suggestion.

Just came back from memphis for my interview. Just a quick update: My Interview was scheduled for 9:35am,we arrived at 9:10am. Went through security and waited for like thirty minutes before i was called. I was interviewed by a lady. She reviewed my application with me asking me all the questions like my name, my address, my phone number and all some of the yes and no questions. She asked me if i have gotten a ticket before and i told her yes but i didnt know where to write it on the application. She told me that it is no problem and make note of it.
She gave me a a paper and told me to read: What is the largest state. She told me to write that Carlifonia is the largest state. she aske me the civic questions as follows:
there are four amendment to the constitution about who can vote, tell me one?
Who is incharge of the executive arm of government?
If the president can no longer serve, who becomes the president?
What was the main concern of the United States during the cold war?
Why did the colonist came to America?
What is one right of everyone living in America?
I answered all the questions correctly and she told me to sign my passport photo. She also gave me a piece of paper and told me to go through it and make sure that it is correct and sign it.She said that my certificate is gonna be made from that info. She told me that she will approve my application on the 2nd of April, because that is my 3rd year anniversary. She gave me the N-652 and mark the congratulation part and wrote upon 3 year anniversary.
The only document she asked was my driver license, passport, and green card.
She told me that my oath will be scheduled in East Tennessee withing 2-4 months and my oath might be either in Knoxville, Chattanogga or Greenville. She also said that if they dont schedule the oath, then they will schedule me in memphis.

This was the easiest and fastest interview i have ever attended. It took like 10minutes!

Congratulation! It feels better to get it over with. They told me the same thing on Jan 26 regarding the Oath timing. Knoxville has the ceremony on August 19.
For some reason TN is way behind from more others field offices. We are going there next week for my spouse as well. I hope they can get you in the next 2 ones: Chatanooga: April 28 or Greenville: May 11. I called the courts again to make sure they did not change these dates,but its still on. Again good Job!

My wife's interview is at 9:20AM 12 April and now we are nervous as hell. I will try to list the questions that come from her interview.
right now we are actually praying and studying every minutes until the interview time.

She will do fine.Like you said, God is in control through prayers, and make sure she stays focus.What she really needs during the interview.
We can only do what we can during these interviews, and let the Spirit of God lead us. My wife is taking her interview on April 07 at 0750 am as well .We will pray for you guys to make sure that the IO helps her to calm down so that she can focus.She will be fine, and study as much as you can, we are all differnt in this matter of studying for tests,interviews,......Good luck guys!

TN_ Canadian, You are correct, TN is faster on the early stages,but when they get to Oath: WAY TOO SLOW. Nashville had 2 ceremonies on March 24 th and 25 th. I think they are trying to get everyone to thier closest areas.We did walk in for my spouse FP on Feb 28 (charlote,NC). On March 2nd the online and text message for Case trasfered for Interview on April 07 (Memphis). We were shock that fast for Bio to update for IL. I am attempted to say that may be your parents and my spouse will be in the same Oath ceremony not the 2 months....wait. We will see,We will keep praying may be is SOON, and we can meet ON THAT BIG DAY...Hoping for the best.

East TN JCTY, it does make me feel better knowing that I'm not the only one who hasn't moved in months! I guess the Memphis office is just taking their time with the Oaths. It is weird that all the other steps seem to be going really quickly up until it's some for the oath, my parents started their application a little while ago and they're doing their interviews next week (got interview letter less than a week after fingerprints).
Well fingers crossed that we get scheduled for the soonest oath! I thought I heard somewhere that Nashville has ceremonies fairly often, I wouldn't mind the drive from Knoxville to Nashville.

I am new, but I was been watching your move to make sure that I am not the only one in TN who is waiting that long. I was very encourage to see your post today. May be you can help to post my timing on the Lewsville,TX board. I did my interview Jan 26,2011 and I saw you doing it just few days after me. TN is taking longer I spoke with 3 courts,the next dates for the ceremonies in EASTERN District COURTs :
Chatanoonga: April 28 at 1000am and another at 1300.
Knoxville: August 19
Greenville: May 11 at 1000am
My prayers is to get the April one,but if no luck then May 11, what is the closest to me. I wanted to encourage you as well as you just did without knowing that for me. Please if you can update me on the Board:11/01/2010 sent N-400, Check: N/A (money order), NOA 11/08/2010, FP 12/06/2010/ IL 12/27/2010/
INTERVIEW 01/26/2011 passed and I was told to wait 30 to 60 days for Oath letter. So far nothing.Crossing my finger.
