Do they want original and certified copies of original or just original and photocopies of original without certification?

I am not sure about the form DS-2001. Do I have to post it to NVC with the DS-230 packet or I have to mail to NVC after. Please clarify is it for K1 visa or CR1/IR1 too

I applied for F1 when I was dating with my Usa Bf at that time. My sponsor was my mum in UK. I was asked questions like why do I want to study in USA and if I have been there etc..My grand dad and uncle in USA so I said yes I have been there. My reason for denial was lack of ties in UK

We got married 2 months after the F1 denial.

So do I put YES or NO for Q40 F..

I just don't understand how it worked. I called the automated line and customer agent. I assume she was tier 1. She told me that my case is pending.How did you manage to speak with tier 2?

Just checking that I read right. When you applied for the uSA F1 visa you mentioned that your tution fees and living expenses will be paid by your bf. Correct!! as he was your sponsor.

You guys were dating and bf/gf. It wasn't official rite? So how is it a lie?

What did they ask you on your F1 interview and what was the reason given for your denial? As far as I understand you intention was to study in usa not immigrant at that time as you were dating usa bf..

I've filed I-130 for my wife and am in waiting mode. In the meantime, I figured I'd take a look at DS-230 and try to get prepared for that.

DS-230 Question 40. f.: An alien who failed to attend a hearing on deportation or inadmissibility within the last 5 years; who seeks or has sought a visa, entry into the United Staes, or any immigration benefit by fraud or misrepresentation; who knowingly assisted any other alien to enter or try to enter the United States in violation of law; who, after November 30, 1996, attended in student ( F ) visa status a U.S. public elementary school or who attend a U.S. public secondary school without reimbursing the school; or who is subject to a civil penalty under INA 274C.

My wife applied for visitor visa around June 2010 and was denied because the CO didn't believe we were just friends (we were still friends at that time). How do I answer the question? If I select "Yes", does my wife automatically ineligible to receive a visa?

When would your spouse become citizen? I think you should send DS-3032 and make payment. NVC process takes 4-6 weeks. You never know F2A may jump again.

So, nVc can't be started as the VIsa number is not avaliable or you chose not to start as your priorty date is far away?

Hi Guys, I have questions for people who have filled petition under F2A or F2B. I can see some of you have received the NVC number. Are you working on NVC processing at present or you guys going to wait until visa numbers are closer or citzenship is filled for USA citzen?

I punch in the references on daily basis and it seems like average time is between 3-4 months but there are still people waiting from Dec/Jan/Feb..

What were you dates? When did you apply for F1 and ESTA?

Did your get rejected straight away or was it pending first? Is your petition pending or something

yes, you are right but some people manage to travel while pending. It is really down to luck.

Send them an email and request for NO2. You may get lucky!!

Just to add further explanation to my previous reply. I was scared of applying for ESTA again after F1 denial. I re-applied and got approved. So all these people out there. It is always good to try and leave it on God the rest.
