  1. Thank you very much for your reply, lady26. I did place a reschedule request this morning and I do not believe it will work out. So we will prepare to go to the interview.

    Hi!!

My interview was on june 16 and my husband booked his expensive flight to Israel on march for june 15 so,as you can see we missed only for one day ..I asked for advice in the end we reschedule his flight and we went for the interview on the day uscis set up for us. my aos was approved.

My advice would be just go to the interview and reschedule your flight, I know reschedule a flight is expensive but if you reschedule your interview your process might take longer..

good luck whatever you and your husband decide.

  2. Thank you, lady26! I think that is what we will end up doing.

it is not complicated: just go to the interview ,,,,my husband reschedule his expensive flight to Israel in order to go with me for the interview in uscis (we paid a lot to reschedule his flight) and our AOS was approved ..in the end it was worthy spend more money but we are done with the AOS process at least for two years..

reschedule is too risky just go to the interview with your husband

    good luck!!

  3. Hi, all.

I have a question about withdrawing the reschedule request.

I just got my notice for the interview for July 25th. My husband and I has booked the ticket to see his grandma and the ticket is very expensive and nonrefundable. So I called to reschedule the interview. But after researching on the reschedule topic on visa journey, I learnt that it is quite impossible for the reschedule request to go through correctly. The operator who dealt with my request says it takes up until 30 days for them to process my request and mail me a notice but my interview is in 33 days. We've been longing to go to see his extended family and have a vacation there for a long time. We have gone through the trouble of getting visa, booking the flight and hotel and everything else is arranged. We both are quite sad if we couldn't go. But I understand that it is very very risky to trust that the reschedule is going to work.

I was thinking that I should just withdraw my request and lose the money and vocation to go to the interview. I called USCIS (the 800 number) and it seems that they couldn't process the withdraw request. They told me to go to the local office to say that I will appear on the interview date to keep my spot. I am afraid that there is something wrong and I did not know I was rescheduled and I have sacrificed the time and money to go to the interview but I wouldn't be interviewed. Do you guys have some suggestion for me?

  4. Hi, all.

Some updates on my receipts: I just got them through text message and email a minute ago.

I remember some March filers have the same problem. Wish you all get your receipt pretty soon.

I mailed my stuff to Chicago on March 18th through Fedex and it arrives at the office before 10:30am on March 21th. So it takes 25 days for me to get the text message receipt. I think the mailed paper receipt is going to take a few days but I am happy that there is finally some progress. I was pretty worried that they might not have an eye on my case for a long time. And I am waiting for the AP to make two international travels in July.

I have a question for the receipt: I filed I-130, I-485, I-131, I-765 at the same time so I got four receipt with different number (or I should say MSC). Is this the way it is supposed to be?

    Thank you all!

  5. I am in the same situation as you are. My stuff arrived at the office at March 21, two days earlier than yours. I did not hear anything from USCIS yet. I am a bit worried.

    Hello everyone!!

I m starting to get really worried cause I see most people here who has mailed all their documents in order to do the AOS, Immigration has cashed their checks within a few days or a couple weeks at the most..

My lawyer mailed all the paperwork and checks on March 23rd and Immigration still haven t cashed my checks...

I m starting to worry that something went wrong or the papers got lost...

I saw someone here talking about a sub forum about people who filled for the AOS in march this yr and that their AOS s are also taking longer.... can someone tell me what s going on? if u know about any extra info I might be missing..

Hope to hear from any of you, thank you so much for taking the time to read my message.

    Have a great day!!

    Leslie

  6. Thank you so much for your information. It is nice to know that. I am kind of worried that they completely forgot my case.

    hi

I send my file on march 03

    file arrived on march 05

uscis send me a confirmation e-mail on march 23!! and they cashed my checks on march 26 and noa1 on march 28,as you can see...it takes a little longer than 2 weeks...just wait if there is not response in 30 days then,,you might call...

    good luck!!!

  7. Hi, all.

I am currently F1 and apply for the adjustment of status based on marriage. I have mailed my package(including I-485, I-130, I-131, I-7651 and related materials) to Chicago office on March 18th and the tracking has shown that the package has arrived on the morning of March 21th. But I haven't heard anything from them yet. The checked hasn't been cashed either. I saw most people (according to the timeline showing on this forum) get the receipt in about two weeks and I am a bit worried. Do you guys know that is there anything that I can do? I appreciate your suggestions. Thank you so much.
