  1. Hey May Filers Fam!!! Just droppin by to check on y'all, hope everyones doing okay. :) I've been okay but busy as heck preparing docs for our interview. I should've done this 2-3 mos ago if only I had known NOA2 was on the way! Guys if you're having that strong feeling that you're gonna get your NOA2, TRUST your "feelings" lol and start preparing your next set of paperworks. Don't do it at the last minute, because when your NOA2 comes you'll def go loca. Lol

Anyway, just wanna share me and my kids medical experience. We were at SLEC @5:15am and the line was super long already! Just a piece of advice, DON'T EVER COME ON A MONDAY! I saw one VJ member, Gretchen_Darren but I was able to recognize Darren first before his fiancée Gretchen. I didn't have a chance to chitchat with her because I was busy getting pissed at this young lady infront of us who was coughing real bad and was smoking the whole time we were in line. Her smoke was all over my kids face, I was so mad since my eldest daughter has a bad allergy. She got her sneezing every 5 sec!! People were all looking at the lady with disbelief, and before i was able to say something to her, my youngest daughter already snapped at the lady! Lol My little girl was VERY angry. She's like, "Ate, can u please stop smoking, you're making m sister sick! Stop now or else mr. Guard will not let u in!" LOL it was very funny, people all laughed at my daughter and I heard someone said "correct! that's my girl!"

So we were already in when I received a text from Ivy, finally. I was I worried about her, thought she's not gonna make it that day because of incomplete requirements. She didnt know. But she still made it on time. We're only able to see each other around 12pm I was on my way to my X-ray, she was left with my little girls while I was waiting for my turn in the dressing room. Ivy is James's fiancee (VJ member James and Ivy) we have same timeline since NOA1. We are trying to do everything together from our medical to our CFO seminar once we have our visas on hand. Lol So we were finished around 2:30pm, I had to take the girls for lunch, we went out around 1pm when I saw Darren (vj member) sitting outside and fanning himself with a card board or something (weather that day is super hot) guess he couldn't take the crowd inside and decided to just wait for Gretchen outside. We came back around 2pm and finished in 30 min. I told Ivy we will chat that nite and try to schedule her interview. But i was so tired that and fell asleep too early. I woke up around 7am (Tuesday) and decided not to go back to saint lukes. I sent Ivy a text so we can schedule her interview already. She couldnt make a schedule over the phone because everytime she talk to an agent, she was being told to fill up the DS-160 first. She's calling the 982*** number Phils. Hotline. I wasn't asked to fill up that form when Dee called the 214*** US hotline so I adviced her to call the US # instead. But I remember we can schedule online so we decided to do it online. She was having connection issues so I just got her info and signed her up myself. Her docs are complete already, so I asked her if she wants to have an earlier appointment. She didn't want to, she said she's too nervous to go alone lol so I asked her if she wants to have the same appointment like mine, sept 19. Luckily the 19th is still available. So i set her appointment date on the 19th. We're happy to have the same interview date. She also passed her medical and got her result on Tuesday.

Wednesday morning, I saw the "dragon" lady again, she came to me and apologized for smoking i told her its okay. I asked her why she came on a wednesday instead of tuesday. She said she left after her immunization and didn't know know she's supposed to get her result after. Obviously she passed, good for her. I was scheduled for immunization in Tuesday @9am like her and supposed to get all done but I didn't show up. I called them on tue afternoon though, and asked if I can have my immunization on Wednesday together with my kids and get our result at the same time. They first told me that I passed my medical and yes I can come on Wednesday for my vaccines, but at the same time I was given (9am) because my doctor is only available in the morning. My kids appointment was at 2:13pm and their immunization depends on their TST result. My kids didn't have an X-ray, they had the tuberculin skin test and it takes 48 hrs to know the result. A pediatric doctor will tell you if your child is positive or negative. If it's negative the doctor will endorse your child for immunization. If it's positive, your child will be sent for X-ray the same day, and they will tell u to come back the next day for the result. Thank God my kids were both negative on their TST and received 4 shots each that had them hollering for hours. I had 3 shots. We left SLEC @exactly 6pm and headed to the bus terminal to go back to Laguna. :)

  2. Hi. Im also using MJ, you can get your call records from the website. Just click my.magicjack link on your MJ. it will take you to your account details and youll see your complete call logs (tel.#'s, time and call duration) and thats every single call you made using your magic jack. Make sure you print copies every 20th of the month though, as you could miss some of your daily phone records. MJ deletes 2-3 mos previous statement.

  3. I just want to proclaim something so I will have accountability to you all here. Make sure I live up to my promise, ok?No matter what happens along the way, how many fights we might have, Ice and I will try to understand eachother because we understand the responsibility of marriage. No matter how long it takes to be approved by the VSC, we will be able to wait. If it doesn't happen today, it will happen tomorrow, and if not tomorrow, maybe the next. We will wait however long it takes, completely trusting in eachother and ourselves that we can handle it because we love eachother. From this point on, we will not worry about when is our time; our time will come when it is supposed to come.If not here in the US, we can live in his country.I have confidence that everything will work out. God is good. I'm sure all of you who are still waiting can agree. It is true that there are millions of cases being processed and many background checks being done, so it takes a long time, but maybe in a way this is also a good thing because you can realize if you are really ready to step it up and realize the responsibilities that marriage brings. I know it has for me and Ice. We are very young, so we are trying to help eachother (mostly him helping me) understand the real meaning and weight of the concept of marriage. It's much more complex than I ever could have imagined as a girl.

Thats what im talking about Lil sis! Well said. . :) see this is why I should stop calling you lil sis lol cause you think so grown! Talking about marriage and relationship, your attitude is waaaay different from other young girls. When I was your age, I was still going loca over usher and doing my cheerlead stunts! My babies were so entertained I tell you!!! ^_^

  4. LOL! That's great you have your case number now... yay!!! :)

OMG that was so funny! Great on getting your case number though! They're getting a little faster sending it out too, you need to start calling around 15 days out if you haven't gotten it by then, but with VSC, it's really quick, so then I'd call after a week!

Hahaha!! well Dee called last nite, and did all the queries and I was just listening to them the whole time. I had fun! Lol after his convo with the agent, he asked me if my nosey butt is happy now, I was like "yeah baby!! That's really awesome!! Have me on the phone again when you call them back next week!" lol  Anyway, it's confirmed our petition has finally arrived in NVC yesterday. And I'm thankful they haven't send it to manila consulate, because i still have 50-11 things to do and I need to get all them stuffs done before October, otherwise I won't be able to leave the country and be with my baby... :(

I'm so glad that VSC are now working on may filers petitions! :) I pray that this will keep going and everybody will get approved soon and have a smooth medical and interview, including the ones that are still waiting. It sucks to be in this situation. Long distance love is not cute.. But we are bunch of survivors here, aren't we?? We will NEVER back down!!! :) Things will happen because WE WILL make it happen. :)

  5. I wonder how long will it take them to send whatever that thing is they need to send to Manila consulate? We're really not in a hurry, Dee still has to send me his docs on Monday plus the whole amount i need for me and my kids medical and interview fees... Truth is, I'm very thankful and happy with our fast approvals but I also feel kinda pressured... :(

  6. So I was just being curious about calling the NVC hotline. I even asked Dee last night to have me on the other line whenever he calls the nvc. He promised we'll do that tomorrow. But me being so nosey, I tried to call NVC this morning and pressed random buttons on my phone keypad, and #######!! I GOT TRANSFERED STRAIGHT TO A LIVE AGENT!!!

Agent: this is (forgot the agent's name) may I have your blah blah #?

    Me: err...

    Agent: repeats the question*

Me: hi there!! My name is Britt, I'm calling about our case status?

Agent: okay, may I have your "INS/CNS" # (whatever u call that #)

Me: is that the WAC number?

Agent: yes may I have your WAC #?

Me: oh sure sure! Hold on a sec pls

(Gone to get my journal cause I don't know our receipt # by heart lol)

Me: ok i have here WAC##########

Agent: thanks, may I have the beneficiary's name and DOB?

    me: (gave my info)

Agent: and the petitioner's name and DOB?

    Me: (gave Dee's info)

Agent: thank you, how may I help you?

Me: uhhh... Okay... Well I was reading information from VISA JOURNEY (am in trouble for mentioning the site's name?) And it says there that after we received our NOA2 we should call the NVC and get our case # is that right?

Agent: uh-huh? (I think I got her lost)

Me: so I wonder if u can check on your system of we already have that particular #?

    Agent: yes, ARE YOU READY?

    Me: uhh sorry? (dumbfounded)

Agent: Yes i have your MNL case # Ma'am. Are you ready?

Me: oh..! Oh im so sorry! Wait a sec let me get a pen! ...okay I'm ready! (I really didn't get a pen, I just typed the MNL20117290## she gave me on my iPod note. Lol)

I called Dee right after I gt off the phone w/the nvc agent told him what my nosey behind did. He was laughing so hard at me. Don't know how was I able to tell him the whole story with all that stut-stuttering because I was still shaking and nervous! Too nervous that I forgot to ask if our packet 3 (?) has been sent to Manila already or whatever! I still have a lot of questions but my baby promised me he will call the nvc tomorrow and verify, of course WITH MY NOSEY BEHIND via 3 way. Lol

  7. Sabrina.... I'll be praying for Tolga and his country too. I know what you mean. The world is crazy. Everytime I hear something about the Red shirts in Thailand, I get nervous because Chiang Mai is red shirt target. That's too mathematical for my brain :lol:ME TOO!! This waiting is making us insane. Literally. Happy one day, angry the next. It sucksIt's good to hear from the March filers that the timeline is pretty correct. I just hope we get lucky and it's early :D May the force be with us. :alien: I hope we all get approved in August. wishful thinking....Glad you're doing ok, Ate Britt. Sounds like you're busy~ that's good!As for me and Ice, we're hanging in there. Ice is studying hard, and I have been working hard, studying how to run hotels (I'm a sales manager, still learning). In my free time I've been filing out all of the DS forms even tho I know we can get them later. And I organized a copy of the petition in a binder with the DS forms, the I-134 stuff, all of the stuff he will need for the interview, and left spots for copies of the medical papers, police certificate and translated documents. I know it's early, but I'm organizing now because my classes for my last year in college start in five days, so when I have full time school and work, I won't have much time for this stuff. It's the calm before the storm....I'm about to do the impossible: full time school (five classes), full time work (40 hours), part time home business (5 hours a week?), plan a wedding AND find an apartment. Wish me luck!!!! And goodluck for us VSC! ;)

Yeah kind of... I'm a full-time mom now, so it's only the girls and Dee who keep me busy, but I know I'll be busier starting next month. You actually do better than me, you already started preparing your docs, I haven't. I know I need to start working on our "evidences" but because of my Internet connection been actin up lately, I couldn't get online to print our emails and magic jack call record. Right now, I'm just using my phone but the data charges is hella expensive! Ugh! Anyway, Just keep that positive vibes, and think about Ice and your wedding. Speaking of wedding, my Dad wants to come to Cali to attend my wedding. I wouldn't have to worry if only my mom is not coming, but she is! she already cancelled her Rome/Manila trip to be in CA in December. I haven't told my mom about it yet, but ill call her later this week and let her know. Looks like my family will be reunited finally, after 27 friggin years! Hope there will be no drama on my big day. Oh well... let's just see. Lol

  8. Vermont does get many more applications than California, not sure why, I think it's to do with the population split? California gets more work visas apparently... As it sits, they DO process the work visas before they process the family ones, and also, I think Vermont is still catching up from a shortage of workers, they took a lot of people off to work on other desks when Libya started having issues, and I still think they're short staffed. In any case, they seem to be speeding things up, so you may not have as long a wait ahead of you!

Yeah, I've read here about VSC having shortage of workers and they receive more applications than VSC which is surprising to me, according to my coach during my call center training, 10-15 years ago, California has the highest population of immigrants. I guess a lot of them moved to Southside or Eastside huh?

  9. Your children will be subjected to more radiation on ONE plane ride than they will on a lifetime of xrays, even if they get them several times a year. They will also cover your children's reproductive organs with a lead apron, as the radiation doesn't hurt your children, it just potentially hurts your grandchildren. As it is, the risk is extremely low, but because it's a medical procedure, it comes with a million warnings against it. Honestly, if something like Tylenol was new on the market today, it would NEVER make it off the shelf, as it's too risky, and we use it everyday with no concern about it. They're just super super strict because they don't want to be sued. Don't worry about it... Don't even worry about the plane ride for that matter, the radiation from that is very small too!Congrats!Vermont does get many more applications than California, not sure why, I think it's to do with the population split? I see... That's good to know! Thank you Stuart and Thea . :) So there's really nothing to worry about. I'm fine now. I worry too much about my kids.. I know it. And I'm really such a paranoid mother for real!!!:bonk:

  10. My goodness you all are hard to keep up with now!! :lol:How's everyone today?Ice is being really sweet to me while I'm getting impatient with waiting for NOA2. I'm so thankful to have him. (L)

Hey Lil Sis! I'm good, messing with my baby on the phone while doing my research here. What about you? Are you at home? :)

Okay, I just noticed. Me and my Baby's anniversary is 07/03 and our NOA2 came after 73 days from filing. What a coincidence! :o And yes I'm over analyzing stuff. :bonk::lol:

  11. Good morning/afternoon/evening May Filers! I'm sure hoping VSC starts approving May petitions soon... now that we're getting closer, the wait seems even harder to bear. I'm trying to stay positive and busy, and I'm looking forward to a good friend from Texas (the one who introduced my fiance and I) who is coming to visit me in a couple weeks. Time just seems to be dragging right now.On a happier note, my fiance picked up our wedding rings yesterday (we had picked them out when I visited him last month). :) :) :) Sure can't wait to wear it!!!

It will come soon Kat, don't worry... :)

I really don't understand why can't both service centers process petitions the same way though.. :bonk: Not that I'm complaining, I'm glad we got approved faster than we thought... But why? Both service centers are located in ONE country, right? What's the difference, really? Does Vermont caters more applicants than California?

  12. That's a GREAT one. Good idea ;)I fell in love with my Tolga pretty quickly. He is very handsome of course. But what draws me to him is his determination and his enthusiasm. He learned English to be able to speak with me. He continues to try for me daily. He makes sure I always know I am on his mind. A true gentleman who holds ME his woman up high. Family comes first to him as well. He wants nothing more than to hold his own family close. And finally....he makes me smile so big my laugh lines are growing deeper by the day. This is the man I cannot wait to share the every day with. Sleep in late and watch him play with our children. I'm so in love. I will be holding him again soon :)

He's a good man Sab... :) And I am jealous!!! You'll get to see your love AGAIN, and SOON!!! It's been 13 months since the last time I gt to hold my baby... :(

You got that right very expensive!! I rather save it also! we got everything we need almost for Interview alrdy, i just got to send her my Financial documents and other papers by LBC!

I know... I will start working on my scrapbook and gather all our evidences this weekend.

AwwWwWwWw.......Sabrinaaaaa, you made me shed a tear.....That is so sweet! I need a tissue... :crying::crying: Oh yea your going in September....Thats awesome!!!

We're all so blessed to find our TRUE LOVE... (L)

  13. Oh okay... I thought children under 14 are not required to have chest x-ray cause I know that's not good and kind of harmful to children right? My kids just had an x-ray in January because they had a bad cough and their pedia required them to have a chest x-ray. They're clear though. But the x-ray tech at the hospital told me chest x-ray for kids should be be done only once a year or it can harm them.. I am not sure about about this but I'm a mother and my kids health comes first..

But that's Saint Lukes! They should know what they're doing. But if something goes wrong, I might hurt them if I can't sue them.

  14. I still havent, Like what you have, "I Love being Blasian" with the heart? How you do that?

  15. I called NVC Tuesday Morning early and found out they had my case on the day before( August 8th), They did not scan case into their System Until late Monday Night before Closing. I got the MNL/NVC Number on Tuesday Morning early! I called today( Wednesday) and was told Case left NVC today going to Manila, Philippines!!!:dance: Only at NVC 1 day! Good Luck also May 2011 Filers, we will be here Until we ALL get that NOA2!! " NVC case on its way to Manila"!!!

Wooooh!!! Congrats Tom!!! I guess Grace will have to book her flight to Manila one of these days? That was really fast! I thought it can take up to 1 month to get a case #. I hope we get ours as quick as yours!!! So far, I have 2 possible companions for medical and interview appointment. One is sweetheart17 and the other one is James and Ivy, a fellow May filer too and we have the same NOA2 date. I hope there'd be no problem on our medical, I've read about sputum and that can possibly delay your application up to 6 months if you're positive on the test? That sounds scary... :( Are kids ages 7 and 9 required to have a chest x-ray also?
