Just got my Certificate of Naturalization in the email !!!

I AM ALL DONNE NOW :dance:

NYC1984, I got my passport in the mail today. it seems the online passport application status doesn't get updated so don't pay much attention to it. Mine still says final processing stages. It took less than a month. I'm officially done. Good luck to everybody still waiting.

I applied for mine also at the post office but a week before you and the online status says YOUR PASSPORT IS IN THE FINAL PROCESSING STAGE. Whatever. so I'm thinking we should get them by next week? Hopefully.

Same here I don't quite feel like a citizen since i have no proof and the idea of my certificate (only evidence of citizenship) floating around somewhere doesn't make me feel good. Once i have the passport in hand, Then I can feel like a citizen.

Right ??? i fell the same way. All my roommates thinks that i am crazy. I will only feel like a citizen when i get that passport in my hands.

When did you applied for your passport ? and where ? I applied on the 22nd of july here in Manhattan .

WOW. U got a lot done today. Congrats to you and enjoy the relief of not having to deal with uscis again. I haven't done Social security update yet. They sent my certificate with my passport application last Friday so I gues I'll be updating SSA next month. Congrats to every body and good luck to those still waiting.

I also went to

the SS office

DMV to get a new Driver License with my new name.

And last went to The post office Applied for my U.S Passport

Can someone please add my Oath Date 07/22/11 for some reason it doesn't let me do it!

My Interview June 29, 2011

My interview was scheduled for 10:35 AM. I got there by 9 am. I was very anxious. They called me by 9:40 am. I walked in this little office she told me vow to tell the truth (and all that). Then we began. She went through my whole file. Every place that I worked ever lived. She was a little doubtful that I only went out of the country twice since I got my green card. But I had evidence that I only went out those 2 times.☺.

Reading test.

How many Senators are there?

Writing test (it was a joke)

We have one hundred senators.

Civics.

• What is the supreme law of the land?

• What stops one branch of government from becoming too powerful?

• Who is the chief justice of the United States?

• Who wrote the Declaration of Independence?

• What is the name of the national anthem?

• What ocean is on the west cost of the U.S?
