  1. Thanks God, I was approved on my waiver I601 it tooks just 4 months, the USA embassy here in El Salvador asked me to schedulle another interview ( after an emai I sent them asking whta the next step would be ) and to get whatever documents are expired...not specific detail on which documents I need. I belive I need to get another medical exam, does any one know if what other documents I need for my second interview for the embassy here does not provide the information needed, thak you all.

  2. I will do the form I-601 but was I not supposed to get this on the day I had my interview? I wonder why it took them almost 3 months to ask for this...I am telling you what the CO gave me was just a gree sheet and he even said the sooner you sent this the sooner we resolve this.

Does any one have any idea how long this might take, I have a terrible feeling that this will take more than 6 months just to get approved if it gest approved and then they send this to the Embassy where this guys will just take their time and I will have to start all over again with getting recent documents and of course spend more money on medical test.....what a waste of time and money!!....Why didn't this CO ask for me to fill this form after he interviewed me...Why??

  3. Hello,

My case is updated to todays date 24th of Sept...it is been 2 month in AP and I have been emailing and calling to check on its status well here is the latest...

I have recieved an email from the embassy (after I email them asking for my case) saying I have to submit a form I-601 and my case will just be in stand by untill I do what they request...Was I not to get this at the moment I had my interview? Why didn't they inform of this before? Please hear my words even if you called DOS, emailed the embassy and your case shows AP and the date is being updated it does not mean they are working on it....I've been told that my case is on hold and it is been like that since the day of my interview ( June 27th 2013) I have checked this case on line and was under the impression that they were working on it because it showed AP and the date was being updated....everytime I called the embassy ( last time was on the 23rd of Sep) they always gave me the same answer,,,..just wait they are working on it....so I really do not know who to believe....One thing is for sure and this is I will submit this form and just play it safe....Good luck to you all on your case and just don't believe everything they tell you........MY GOD IS FIGHTING MY BATTLE AND I WILL DEFEAT THE ENEMY!!

  4. Hello all,

I called DOS spoke to a guy named Bryan ( very nice guy ) all he said is that my case is still on AP and the embassy will contact me ...not know when ...he said that the embassy recieved my documents on July and no other document is pending.

Now people remember I posted that I was asked to fill out a I-601 on that email they stated that I was being ineligible under 221 (a) (6) © (i) I sent a new email on the 11th of Sept saying that at the enterview all they gave me was a green sheet 221g and there they checked what I needed to sent all they asked for was a USA police certificate and proof of my return to El Salvador in the 90's...

I have not recieved any reply back from them..(El Salvador Embassy) it is been a week already and all it took for them to aswer the first e-mail was just like 4 hrs...Can anyone please enlighten me..?

Should I just keep on waiting or should I take a step ahead and sent them the I-601 ( fee of $585.00) ...thank you guys.

  5. I do have a copy of my 221g and what the CO checked is policy certificate from USA and proof of me being here in El Salvador in the 90's, I sent them all 15 days after my interview. Today I called and all they said is that my case is on AP....I guess al I have to do is wait and pray to God.( I entered the USA back on 1984 when El Salvador was in war and stayed for 9 years it is been more than 10 yeras already)

  6. I email congresal a couple of days ago and got a very fast replay with the following info:(I hope you know Spanish)

I sent another e-mail stating that what the CO gave me was a 221g and all of what they asked for I already sent...this email I sent on the 11th of Sept and have not recieved any replay...

I am telling you some people do not know what they are talking about!.

  7. My case shows an update on the 10th of Sept and tha is it!! They say each case is different and some are resolved in shorter time than others...I really like to believe, I really like to have faith that everything will be ok and it will soon be over but I see no light I see no hope, I am getting older and affraid that my medical exams will soon be expired then I will have to do it all over again....Do these people know how difficult it is to leave here in El Salvador???

  8. Anyone home??? The DOS does NOT adjudicate AP nor any other specific security checks...those are farmed out to other agencies, whose willingness to share information is minimal...there is no point in badgering DoS folks...they are not in control of these situations. DHS/USCIS/FBI and other agencies do various security checks (and probably others that no on knows about)...and for those of you who firmly believe you could do a better job, well, why not attempt to take and pass the exams required to be a foreign service officer??? I doubt that one in a hundred of you could do it.

These call centers are mostly located in Mexico and Central America. I am sure they have no more information than we do.

  9. Did you know, the people on the phone or the people you chat with are all in Mexico and they do not know anything about our cases all they know is the information we get from the web site that is it!.These people work with scripts they have no idea or any knowledge about immigration issues and it's not their fault....after all they're getting pay very low ....how I know... I used to work at a call center here in El Salvador but then it was moved to Mexico.

  10. Hi, I am also from El Salvador and have my interview scheduled for August 16 and was wondering was this your first interview or if this was an interview after waivers were approved? The reason I ask is because my waiver was approved in May 2013 and they are requesting me to go back for an interview with all the documents and wanted to know if you were in the same situation. Thanks!!

This was my first interview and never had any waiver...Good luck on your interview, by the way it is not hard, people are very nice and they go straight to the point, you just be yourself and be sincere and may God be with you.

  11. You as the foreign beneficiary were told to get a police cert from your time in the USA? This is extremely unusual, USCIS usually does their own background checks. Did you have a court case in the USA and they wanted the legal papers?

I lived in the USA from 1984-1993 and got a DWI.I have submitted what they asked me for, do you have any idea how long it takes for a resolution to be given.

  12. Congratulations Essy_A!!

Could you please provide details of the interview in San Salvador. What questions were you asked? And what documents did you have to bring along?

    Congratulations!

I have interview on June, can you please tell me if you had to have your documents translate in English did you have to authenticate birth certificate or any other document I believe they ask for PNC solvencia and antecedentes penales, are there any other fees to pay after the interview...I am a little nervous about my interview!!!Thank you.
