Back from China now. Got back late last night, but the trip was well worth it We passed our interview and it was much easier than what we had imagined. I am so happy and Hongxia gets to come home to the US probably on the first of July. Thy said she should get her visa in about 4 days so Tuesday hopefully. I wanted stay and bring her back with me but I ran out of leave n had to be back for duty

hah lol sorry I believe Hongxia got the P3 on May 13 or about that...I have been so busy with the new duty position and getting ready to fly to Guangzhou for the interview that I have kind of lost track of our timeline

she just received her P4 today. I found out the interview date ahead of time by calling the DOS at 202-663-1225 and gave them case number I got from the NVC. They should be able to tell you when or if your P3 or P4 have been sent and the date of your interview too if you have a date set yet.

We got approved in the same day!"

We haven't recieved P3 yet. I got a reply e-mail from the Consulate in Guangzhou saying that they have recieved confirmation electronically but not the package yet. They said it can take months to get through customs

Your interview date is soon enough that you are probably pretty safe. Congradulations and good luck to you both. Can't wait until I am in your shoes

Jeez sorry about that! I forgot to post an update on that. The government came to a short agreement so things are running as normal for now. They are still arguing about the budget though and if the do happen to initiate the freeze all government agencies will be at minimum manning, and those that do work will be there without pay. That is the word anyways. Just keep eyes on the news k

Doesn anyone know what to expect for the p2.5, p3 and p4? Hongxia is a little anxious about it and wants to get a head start on things. Any advice would be greatfully welcomed. Also, she is going back to get some things re-notarized because a year has passed since she had it done. Are there any additional notarizations that need to be done? Any help would be great thanks

Thanks for the post and words of encouragement. This whole process is hard, but really I am more worried about the amount of hardship and suffering she is going through during this time. It has not been easy on her and I feel helpless at times with this process. I guess all we can do is have faith in our love and believe everything will work out. Thanks again

I thought the hardest part was getting all of the paperwork together. Then I reached the waiting period and realized, this is much worse. There is a long period of the process where you don't see any of the process or the progress. You just have to wait for them to tell you yes or no,it is driving us crazy, but I guess it is the suffering you endure for the one you love that strengthens the...
