  1. Had my interview this morning. I passed but waited forever to be called and then again to get my oath letter. The IO was very nice. Sworn me in as soon as we walked in his office, went through my N-400 made notes about my speeding ticket but didn't asked for any documents. My questions were How old do citizens have to be to vote, there are four amendments to the constitution about who can vote. Describe one of them, if the president can no longer serve, who becomes the president, who is in charge of the executive branch, during the cold war, what was the main concern of the US and what is one right or freedom from the first amendment. To read was what state has more people and to write California have more people. Now to wait until April 11 and become a citizen! Thank you all for your help!!

  2. Something to explain why you were eligible to file under sections 319b, 328, or 329 of the INA (whichever applies to you).

You sent your application to Nebraska, so I assume you have some special circumstances which allowed you to do so.

For example, if you were applying for an exemption to the physical presence requirement under 319b you would need prrof of qualifying oversees work or deployment.

I sent to Nebraska because my husband is on the military and I was told to send my N400 to that address.

  3. Ok so bare with me. My interview is on Monday and I applied based on 3 years marriage and this is what I'm taking with me. Husband certificate of citizenship, marriage certificate and license, birth certificate of both kids, deed of trust and a few mortgages statements from our home in Texas, rent agreement from where we live now in North Carolina, tax transcripts from 12,13,14 and hoping I get the 15 on the mail until Saturday. College transcripts, renters insurance and homeowners insurance, car insurance, a few bank statements from our main acct. Then the last statement from another bank acct we have but barely use, last cell phone bill, yearly statement from amex credit card and last statement from another credit card we have together. Am I good? We have been married for 7 years and I didn't want to print out 7 years of bank statements and bills. Should I add anything else? Urgh the baby hasn't slept well for the past week and I can't think straight. Help!! Am I missing something?

  4. Hi Jucuellar,

My interview was in the morning, I had to wait around 30 min for the officer. He was really nice. He sworn me in and then started to review my application and made one correction.

Then, we started with the test and he asked me six questions, I only remember one, sorry. Who is in charge of the executive branch?

For the writing test he made me write, California has the most population, If I remember correctly.

He reviewed my file while I was in his office and approved my application. Then, he asked me to wait 15 minutes to get the Oath letter.

I applied based on a 3 year GC

Thank you Monica, my interview is in the morning too! Congratulations I hope I get my oath letter after the interview too!!

  5. Who of you guys applied based on 3 years rule?

    Any tips for interview?

do I have to bring all pprwork from day 1 of marriage again at interview, as letter states bring marriage cert, taxes and one more thing not sure what at the moment.

I printed out 2/3 of our statements and its like 400 pages. and they have all of them already.... just thinking....

I did. I'm planning on taking a few bank statements, some of the credit cards statement we have together, deed of the house we bought in Texas and the rental contract we have here in NC. Other than that bringing our kids birth certificate and his naturalization certificate along with our marriage license and certificate. Not sure if I need anything else. Of course the tax transcripts too.

  6. You should absolutely take the disposition documents.

No way to tell at this point whether it'll delay your case or not, although this is unlikely to result in a denial.

I'm sorry; I misunderstood what you were asking.

No idea why they changed your inline date! Seems rather meaningless!

The only reason I can think of would be if you were placed inline when your background check wasn't done, then they updated the date when the check was actually completed... but I'm just guessing, and I've never seen that happen to anyone before.

I called right now and asked she said my interview is on March 28th and I should be getting the letter soon.

  7. It means you're still inline for an interview.

If you didn't get text or email alerts when you were placed inline, then you may need to turn on these alerts on your profile. Or sometimes they just don't work.

When you are scheduled for an interview you should get an email if the notifications are turned on and you'll get a letter.

It's not unusual to wait several months between inline and interview.

I have the notifications turned on that's why I knew I was placed in line on January 14th. I was confused about why they changed the date to February 19th.

    Here is my process!

I know your feeling! I'm inline since 01/14 and nothing yet. My office says 5 months so there's nothing I can do but study and wait.

  9. That is one of my concerns as well. I had 2 tickets one for speed limit in 2010 and another ticket because my front light was burnt (I got a ticket at 7am in the morning :/) in 2012, both tickets were issued in TX and I paid them right away but I can't find any receipts and we don't even own that car anymore. The only proof I have is on my bank account. How do I go about getting a proof that I paid my tickets? My husband is in the military and we now live in North Carolina.

  10. Hi JimmyHou, I can't seem to find any tracking regarding previous N-400 experiences at the Hialeah field office. I am trying to have a sense of how slow or fast the field office handles the N-400. Any idea?

If you you to the top of the visa journey page where it says "Immigration Timelines" will take you to another page and then on the bottom left you will click where it says citizenship or something like that and then you can go to.your field office and see the timelines there. Hope it helps!
