I am working through the paperwork required to submit my removal of conditions application and I have come up against a few issues. The first being the Affidavits. A couple of years ago we moved away from our friends and a few hours north, so it is very difficult to both get an affidavit and I feel odd asking people we rarely get to see to write one for us. I don't know what to do about this. Any ideas? Bite the bullet and just ask anyways?
Secondly, it asks yet again about all criminal history. I provided an ACPO for my K1, a second ACPO for my Adjustment of Status, and now I'm being asked again. I only have one copy left, should I just submit this or send a photocopy? It was all for retarded rubbish from teenage years (2 instances of graffiti) but being asked for the same thing three times is ridiculous.
Finally, my husband and I have one shared account and one credit card. All the other credit cards are in his name as I have no need for them. Our house is also in his name because I didn't have a job when bought it, and our utility bills aren't in our names either. All we have are the joint account, drivers licence photocopies as proof of joint address, and our taxes filed together.
Because of all this I don't actually have much 'proof' of our marriage aside from photographs and maybe screencaps of my Facebook from days out we've had together. I'm a little worried that it isn't going to be enough.
In short... just... help :\

I'm actually quite shocked at the lack of empathy shown here in the responses. The OP obviously is very lonely and has no means to get around, to socialize or even go grocery shopping.
To the OP: I know things are hard at the moment, and you could be waiting a long time to hear back from the USCIS, but it will get better. Stay strong, Skype with friends and family to take the edge off of the loneliness, and maybe take some online courses or study for a GED (if you do not already have equivalent qualifications or better)
I hope this one little posting makes you feel better, you aren't alone, I was very much in your shoes feeling like a caged animal at times. I hope things get better for you

Thanks for replying
I've got a tracking number now, the card is in transit

I was RFE'd in October and I submitted the paperwork to USCIS on Dec 5th, I was approved on the 22nd and have since had many bouncing updates on the 24th, 26th, and yesterday I got a tracking number for my cards delivery. Which, according to that, means it should be in my hands tomorrow.
It seems they are working over the holidays, I hope you get a resolution as speedily as I got mine

Thanks
It's this part that had me really confused.. "or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice"
-
Yesterday our case was updated to show that my GC had been ordered for production and would be with me in 30 days.
Today the online update stated-
"On December 26, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283."
Any idea why the change?

After waiting 10 months, enduring an RFE and sitting on pins and needles we were finally approved, without an interview, today for my Green Card!
I'd like to say thank you to the people here who have been helpful, insightful and supportive since we started our K1 journey in February 2011!
I'd also like to say to those who are still waiting for their own interviews or approval - Things take time, though it may seem eternal and never ending there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Never give up hope, an RFE isn't the end of the world and while you wait try to take you mind off of it by any means you can. I wish you all the luck in your own journey's and I hope your wait isn't much longer.
Now it's time for me to have a nice drink of wine to celebrate~!
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, or Happy Winter Festivities to all of you!

We sent it in priority mail with confirmation for less than 20 bucks. They will get it tomorrow afternoon so I'm happy as hell that it's back to business so to speak.

I received the information today that was requested as part of my RFE and I'm preparing to send it back to USCIS.
I do have an S.A.E that came with the RFE to send the information back in. Should I put the info in that and overnight it in a Fedex documents envelope too? Can I request signature confirmation of it's arrival at the USCIS?
I'm just checking before I run out the door and get this sent off.
Thanks

I have no idea a set month, I applied back in February and I just got an RFE. Other people who applied in March/April are getting their GC's.
It just luck of the draw to be honest.

I got my EAD card in early July, got my SSN right after that. Yet, since then I've been trying my luck with the learner's permit and gotten nowhere. I had no trouble passing the test; yet, they refused to give me the learner's permit. I showed them every document I had to prove my immigration status: our marriage certificate, my spouse's birth certificate (to prove his citizenship), my EAD/AP combo card, receipt of the adjustment of status application, notice of transfer, passport, in short, just all the papers I had. They still gave me a shake of their head, "Wait for the green card to come and bring it here". It's a 30 minute drive from where I live to the driver's license center. I've run out of drivers, who can take me there. I don't know if the driver's license center people are dirtheads or the policy in Pennsylvania is different. Being house arrested is driving me nuts, especially when nothing is within the walking distance. In the meantime, the green card is still like thousands of light years away.
Getting my permit was a headache too. I was told countless times that I couldn't have a permit until I got my Greencard, they were insistent on it until I asked what the point of me having a work permit is if I have no way to get to work, after some 'umming' and 'ahhhing' they allowed me to apply and I had to go through their SAVE system twice to have my immigration verified before they even let me take the test.
Keep on their asses about it, and try the same thing I did. Explain to them that they can verify your immigrations status through their SAVE system and that you're certain they won't find a problem with it, pretty soon you'll be returning to get a permit.
Maybe our first visits we lucked out, I find a lot of workers in some places don't want to go that extra mile to find out information that is actually a relevant part to their jobs.

I'm the non-USC spouse; I'm the one who has to sit at home everyday and it drives me insane.
I had to wait for my EAD before I could get my drivers permit, and a SSN, but at this point in time I'm not having much luck with learning to drive. My husband works pretty much 7 days a week, his time off is spent recuperating and I don't blame him as his job is stressful, and then there is nobody else who can teach me. We live nowhere near walking distance to anywhere so I literally feel stir crazy a lot of the time.
It's a horrible feeling to feel almost as if you've lost your independance. In the UK I could leave my house and catch a bus to go meet my friends for coffee, visit relatives, and go to the gym etc. Here, I can't do any of that. It is great that your wife has some of her independence still, going to the library to learn things, and going to the gym. You're very correct when you say that your confidence and self esteem take quite a bashing too, I was never a quiet person but now I am shy as hell.
I spend my days chatting to family on Facebook or Skype, I play games online, read, read, read, and read more lol. Over here I am actually in desperate want of getting a job because I'm tired of asking my husband if I can have clothes/cosmetics/girly stuff, I hate feeling like I'm bugging him for some kind of allowance. After I got my EAD my husbands boss wanted some books printed out and binding, I could work because I jumped in the truck with my husband to his workplace, it took me two weeks back in August but it was lovely to have the little income that I got from it. I still have a chunk of it left and it's good to not ask my husband all the time for money for things.
Hopefully our greencards will be on the way soon, and all of us sat at home twiddling our thumbs can begin to come back out of our shells and actually regain some of our independance

All you can do is wait, I've been waiting since February and we just received an RFE.
They are getting through the workload, but very slowly.
From what I can grasp they have split the files between two places as of recently and they are having a difficult time differentiating between their backsides and elbows...
Either way, welcome to the waiting game
-
I gave them the Acpo report, and when I went for my interview they asked me what the offenses were and the dates. The woman was happy with my reply. I never needed to submit any further evidence. It's only now that they are being super picky.
-
The offences were over a decade ago. Any paperwork I had pertaining to them is long gone.
Am I right in assuming that it is the ACRO SAR1 form from this page?
-
I got my RFE today and I have until January 10th 2013 to get the information to them.
They are asking for details on my arrests.
I was only taken into custody, told off and then released. How can I provide them with the information they have requested if I've never been to court for these two stupid mistakes?
I have no idea where to start with getting the information.
I have the dates, and the offenses, noted down but are they after more than that?
-
It's a waiting game. I filed in Feb, got my EAD in April. I still don't have a Greencard.
-
I submitted my paperwork in February and didn't hear another peep after my biometrics appointment. My case sat on standstill in the CSC, so I called them and requested information about a month ago. They said they would get back to me before or around 15 days from that date. I waited and didn't hear anything, just as I'm about to call back and begin poking them my husband gets an email notification of our case being updated. He checks the site and finds that our case is being looked at but they have sent us an RFE.
I called the 1-800-375-5283 number today to see if I could get any additional information, but was told they didn't have access to that. So I'm to sit and wait up to two weeks wondering what the hell it is they need from us now.
I was informed that they take 15 days to get the RFE letter to you, but what they request from you dictates the amount of time you have to collect the evidence.
What kind of things would they require? I checked, double checked and triple checked my paperwork. It was all signed correctly, the marriage certificate was the original copy, my medical from the K1 process was still within a year (it expired this August just gone), I'm out of ideas.
I'm worried sick about this, but my husband tells me not to worry, it's my natural disposition to be concerned about pretty much everything.
I guess this is just a rant to get it off my chest... I don't know

they got married on a civil ceremony last december last year and I assume April was just the dream wedding :-)
Exactly
I filed last February too and transferred same date as yours and yesterday my status was on card production. I hope yours will be there pretty soon.
Oh, I'll try to hold off on tearing my hair out for now then. Thank you for your feedback!

Hello all,
I filed my AoS paperwork back in February as you can see from my timeline in my signature.
I've been waiting to hear a peep since March 20th, after it was transferred to the CSC, but unfortunately I've not seen any updates.
It's now been over 6 months from the date of filing, is there anything I can do to speed things along a little?
I've had a couple of bumps in the road in getting my learners permit, twice I've had to wait for the DMV to verify my status and each time it's taken over two weeks. Could this be indicative of issues with my paperwork? What is the SAVE system they talk about?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm getting quite upset with the incessant waiting for something to happen.
Thank you

Search it on their main site, follow the directions.
We bought a house and I had to update my file, we did it all online and confirmation came through within a couple of weeks.
-
Mine went to the CSC on March 20th, haven't heard a peep since.

I received an NoA today, dated March 16th, that states:
This is to advise you that in order to speed up processing we have transferred the above case to the following USCIS office for processing:- California Service Center
I have my Biometrics on Monday in ATL too.
Does this mean no interview?
Also, does anyone know how fast California are getting through the cases?
Thanks
- California Service Center

We had no choice in how things have worked out for us. The house is my husbands but my in-laws live here too and they pay the mortgage and utilities, which means everything is in their name.
Thanks for the heads-up about the criminal history, I'll have to order more it seems.
My 90 days begins on Sunday 14th Sept. It kinda crept up on us very quickly since all we've been focused on is work, to be honest.
I'm not worried about an interview, I just would rather avoid the inconvenience of it. I get paid hourly and can't afford to take time off.
