  1. Hello all,

Does anyone know if NVC issue a case number once it receives an approved petition?

We were approved last week and are waiting for our case to be sent to the London Embassy, however before I can schedule my medical I need an LDN number. Does this get issued by NVC or the Embassy?

  2. After a long and stressful 181 days, we finally received our NOA2 today, we could not be happier.

Can anyway advise us on what happens now? I understand that our file is now sent to the NVC, how long does this take? Is there anything we can do to speed this up?

On another note, abit of advice for others who are anxiously waiting for their approval. We contacted our local congress office and explained that we were past the processing times and if there was anything they could do. They ended up writing to USCIS asking for an update on our behalf, although we only received a generic response form USCIS, our petition got approved 4 days later...so I have a feeling that their involvement sped things up for us!

  3. Thank you for your reply.

My fiance is coming over to spend christmas with me and will be staying for 2 months, therefore she will be quiting her job. So by the time I attend the interview, my fiance will actually be unemployed.

Apart from completing the I-134, will my fiance need to submit any documentation apart from her W2's? (Obviously she won't have a letter from her employer, as she will no longer be employed.

    Thanks again.

  4. Hi Everyone,

Hoping to get some answers regarding the I-134.

My fiance only works part time, and does not met the required povety line. However my fiance's aunt has kindly agreed to sponsor me, as her salary is way above the povety line.

Below is all the documentation we have thus far, is there anything else we need?

    Completed I-134

    Last 3 years W2's

    Last 3 pay stubs

    Letter from employer

In addition to this, is my fiance still required to complete a 1-134, even though she will not be the one sponsoring me?

Thank you in advance for your help.

  5. Hello fellow applicants/friends,

Been reading several posts on here, and was wondering if there is a perferred option of airport for POE? What airport is the easiest and less hassle?

I have heard that people who have entered JFK, have been automatically been issued an EAD (employment authorization document), without having to apply for it or pay for it. Is this true, or simply a rumour?

  6. Hello all,

Was hoping to reach out to people in England who have been in a similair situation. My fiance and I are (hopefully) expecting our NOA2 in the next couple of weeks and wanted to know what the next steps in the process are.

    1) What fee's do you have to pay at the embassy and how much? Also how much does the medical cost?

    2) Can request my police cert now, or do I have to wait till the Embassy receive my case?

    3) I've heard the Embassy ask for further proof of ongoing relationship. When do you have to supply them with this? When you send back the packet 3 or at the interview?

    4) My fiance and I took photocopies of the whole i-129f application. Do we have to take this to the interview?

Thanks for all your help, greatly appreciated.

  7. Hi all,

My fiance and I are expecting our NOA2 at somepoint in the next month or so, and we are a little confused as to the what the requirements are on the financial side of things.

What we are confused about, is which one of us has to meet the financial requirements? Earn more than the current proverty line.

My fiance is the petitioner and I am the beneficiary. My fiance's current income does not meet the requirements, however my income does.

    Thanks for all your help.

    Joe

  8. Hello fellow visa applicants,

My fiance (us citizen) and myself (uk citizen) are in the process of applying for our K1 visa. Once we are married, I will be moving to the states.

We were planning on getting married in September this year, however due to the processing times, its highly unlikely we will have approval by then. Our plan was to get married in september and then I will return to the UK and wait until the K1 visa is approved.

Is this legal, or will it jeopardise our K1 visa application?

Your opinions and thoughts are greatly appreciated.
