  1. Hi Chris,

my daughter got a false positive on TST in St. Lukes during the medical but turns out to be negative when she has her x-ray. When we had our POE in Detroit last May, there was an officer (aside from the IO) who talked to us in a separate area and handed a paper telling us to call the health department in our state. The paper has the name of my daughter and that number. So eventually we called, then they schedule us for an appointment, my daughter needs to have an x-ray again here. Its free of cost. I hope this helps.

  2. Thanks for the replies. That's very helpful.

With regard to airline tickets can I book for her using my credit card? What's the cheapest way for her to get those tickets if she doesn't have a card? Maybe a travel agency in Cebu if I'm not allowed to purchase the tix for her online? - YES you can book the ticket for her. just send her the copy of your credit card and ID.

I just saw online that it seems she can attend the CFO session in Cebu or Manila. I'm not sure why that lady listed Manila then. Is it still possible to just attend in Cebu? Does anyone know? I've been reading the Manila Embassy thread (http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/181-manila-embassy-interview/page__st__15) and I'm 3 pages in but it just seems to be mostly a list of how long it has taken people rather than tips. I also ready a bunch of the guides and FAQs but haven't found this discussed yet. - YES she can attend the seminar in Cebu.

Oh and what the heck is "Delbros"? - that lady listed it in the fees and I also saw it in a user's .sig on this forum, at the bottom of this page (http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/300-general-k1-guides-and-info/) - NO Idea, i didnt pay any 'Delbros' when i had my vj.

  5. The Website at Saint Luke’s say it takes 2 to 3 day for the Physical exam. Is it possible to take the K-1 physical at Saint Luke’s all in one day?

YES it is possible! Tell her not to come on a Monday, that's very crowded.

    Goodluck!

  6. As a guy who has waited over 30 months to be with his fiance, this is my advice. Enjoy your life, spend his money, sleep in your own room, go find you a new love. Then when you are ready and paperwork is all finished, divorce him and enjoy the rest of your life. This jerk doesn't deserve you. You have given him 5 years, years that appear to have been wasted on him. It is a truly sad story but one this is always a chance when you throw your heart into the ring for love. So step back and realize that you deserve to be happy, it doesn't matter what religion you are, you deserve to be happy. He also made vows when you were wed and he has failed. Do what is best for you. That is my advice.

  7. I called the Singapore Police the person told me I need a letter from USEM. I also emailed them last night but no reply until now. I called the USEM and the agent told to go to Window 38 he didn't tell me I should need my case number, we just got our approval notice a week ago. My fiance called yesterday but they don't have our case number (the NVC)yet. I hope the process can be faster for getting the police clearance.

I just want to ask if the bank draft will be included in the mail to be sent to the Singapore Police.

    Thank you!

i guess, it all depends on the CO if they will ask for this COC. Oh well, its better to be safe than sorry. That's why sonicgihad, Azteca143 and me decided to obtain the COC prior to the interview rather than getting a 221g form on that day.

You can always go to US Embassy manila from Monday to Friday, 630am to 12pm or 2pm. Not sure. They will issue u that letter on the same day. Just bring your NOA2 and letter from NVC stating your MNL case no. Don't forget your passport too or any valid ID.

And yes, the bank draft will be mail together with the rest of your docs to SPF.

  8. Here's the Complete info. (MOD, can you put this up top or make it a sticky?)

    Important:

Make sure the request letter from the embassy states that "THE STATUTORY DECLARATION IS NOT ACCEPTABLE" Without this line on the US Embassy request letter, an appeal would be necessary and I'm not even sure how you'd do that. I imagine you'd have to do that in persson. SO TO ELIMINATE THAT STEP, MAKE SURE THE STATEMENT IS ON THE LETTER!!!

    1) Make sure a Manila Number has been issued by the NVC.

    2) If possible, go to Window 38 at the US embassy in Manila if not,

    email: IVMANILAREPLIES@STATE.GOV

***Request for the consulate to issue a letter officially requesting the Singapore Police Force to release

a COC or certificate of Clearance. Make sure that the letter states that "A STATUTE OF

DECLARATION IS NOT ACCEPTABLE". (It is important this statement is on the letter)

The US embassy can send this to you by Mail or by email.

    3) Download the form and follow the instructions. Mail it to SG along with the letter from the consulate and

all the requirements of the COC.

    www.spf.gov.sg/faqs/doc/coc_appform.pdf

    a) A set of applicant’s fingerprint impressions (ten prints). Applicants applying in

person will be fingerprinted at COC office at the time of application. For application

by post from overseas, the applicant must submit a set of his/her fingerprint

impressions taken by a qualified Fingerprint Officer at an authorised office of the

country he/she is now residing. (Just checking today if this can be done at the NBI)

    b) A photocopy of applicant’s valid passport (showing particulars page).

    c) Two recent passport-sized photographs.

    d) Photocopy of document from relevant consulate/immigration authority/government

bodies to establish that the certificate is required by such authority. All documents

are to be translated to English if written in other languages

Processing fee is S$45.00 per application. Payment can be made by cash, NETS, cash card, or

credit cards (VISA/MASTERCARD) for walk-in application. Application sent by post (from

overseas) must be accompanied by a bank draft made payable to ‘Head Criminal Records

CID’ through a Singapore-based bank. In addition to the processing fee, a postage fee of

S$5.00 must be included in the payment (total S$50.00) if the COC is to be mailed. Payment

is non- refundable once the application is processed.

***Note about Payment: It can be from any bank from any country as long as it is valid in Singapore and in SG$!!!

    4) SPF will take 10 working days to process and can only send the COC to the US Embassy in Manila or whichever

embassy requested it for non SG Permanent residents or citizens.

    5) Check with the US Embassy Immigrant division if they have the COC. Once received, they will attach it to your file.

I hope this helps all of you in the same boat. I'll ask my fiancee to ask one of her friends to hand deliver the letter to SPF and pay the fee as well. We'll just send them money ahead of time.

Thank you! Its a big help! :-)

  9. I thought I could edit the top page... I called SG Police Force and the US embassy twice, this is what I got...

    DECLARATION IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

The US embassy can send this to you by Mail or by email.

    3) www.spf.gov.sg/faqs/doc/coc_appform.pdf

Download the form and follow the instructions. Mail it to SG along with the letter from the consulate and

copies of your passport and I think they are asking for photos as well.

The issue I see here is the payment. If sent in by mail, they only accept a brank draft from a singapore

    bank.

Hi! thanks for this info. I find it very helpful. I've called SG Embassy Manila and ask if they process Police Clearance but they dont. It sucks. However, i have called DBS Bank (Philippines) and ask if they issue a bank draft since they are a Singapore base bank, the officer says no, but we can ask the bank draft in BDO or BPI. These banks are not Singapore base but they can issue a bank draft for Singapore base bank. I find it a relieve then, i dont have to bug my friends in SG and ask favor to process my Police Clearance & do the payment for me.

Thanks & pls keep us posted.

  10. Nice, Congrats, Happy to see someone getting to move on with their life. As I sit here on Day 189 waiting for my noa2, looking back at the dozens of phone calls I have sent, emails I have sent, congress people I've contacted, I just can't help but wonder why some people get approved quick and some dont. In fact I was told by 1 or 2 "officers" that anyone who says they get noa2 in less than 5 months must be telling a lie. They say I shouldn't believe anything anyone puts on the web. Personally, I believe you folks. I did get a reply from VSC saying my case with an adjudicator... whatever that means. Talk about lack of information. I have heard, "your case is still pending, keep waiting" about 9000 times. They refuse to give any further information. But hey congrats to those who got theirs in 90 days.

  11. In Philippines..i just went down there today and gave me the appeal form but i couldn't file it today because i dont have my pictures and document from us embassy phil stating the need for it.

are you sure na Consul in Pinas are aware? However I got the document from Police HQ Sg saying that since Oct 2010 they have ceased issuesing COC? Can I just show this to PI Consul??

have ur beneficiary actually experienced this like she/he stayed in SG for at least 6 months then interview sa Pinas? Im just covering my bases during the interview..

I see. Sorry, i just read this post before replying to your PM.

You will be fine sis. Believe me. :-)

Im glad your interview will be in Pinas. I was an OFW, stayed in SG for almost 4 years. And yes i am sure the consul and the staff are aware on this change of policy in SG government base on this post.

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/312887-singapore-police-clearance-update-after-my-interview/page__p__4700475#entry4700475

Goodluck sis. Dont worry too much, you will be fine.

    Shella

  12. Will you be having your interview in SG or in PI?

If its in Sg, then yes u need to get one & appeal.

Pero pag sa PI naman, you will be fine without it. The consul and staff are aware about this policy in Singapore.

    Goodluck.

  13. Greetings from day 151,

I'm not entirely sure how many days it has been but 5 months was yesterday so i called today. I spoke to a very nice lady named Trina who

without any trouble at all processed my request for case review based on the fact that it was officially overdue. I was hoping for some actual

info but know I will at least know something in 15 days or less (thats how long she said to give them) I can at least relax for a few days.

I was looking at the page of filers who were in august and all the filers within 7-8 days of us have been approved.. I feel for all those who

have gone longer, I know we are both already going nuts after our 5 months, I can't imagine how it will be in 3 more if we still have nothing.

Of course, I can always take a nother trip :o)

  14. hello sis!

    yes it is fine.

According to them, the NOA2 is just a letter. they wont ask it, what is important is the mnl case number then she can proceed in paying her visa & schedule her interview and do the medical. the guard would ask the letter nvc that is being sent to her with mnl case number..

i got that info from the members here who is done with the process.

    hope it helps.

  15. Thanks for the reply.

I also read about that. I have Bancnet account and I don’t know how to start with my payment. When I go to Bancnet website and click my designated Bank, it goes to my bank online banking. So I tried to log in to my online account but I don’t know to whom I will pay in the Bill Pay Service. And where would I input the IUD reference number?

Did you try to do the same? Thanks again.

    ji Jeng!

    Congrats on your NOA2. ;-)

I hope you can figure it out soon. I'm planning to do the same when my time comes.

    Goodluck & GBU.

  16. SORRY cause i posted this in philippines forum so they will understand me..

Hi sis.. i agree with the above post.. you'll get more response if u type it in English tho we are in the Phils. forum.

There are alot of foreign guys who might drop by to your thread and could somehow help you. It doesnt mean your in Phils forum, its only the filipinos can view and reply to your enquiry.

    Thanks! :)

  17. Also, for the Singapore police clearance, get started on it soon. I don't know if you can do it before you get the packet from the embassy though because they want to see that you really need a police clearance before they will do it. But in all it takes about a month to get it. It's the last thing we are waiting on.

    Hi Adam,

I dont think Singapore Gov. still issue a police clearance to a non singaporean.

They only issue it to Singapore Citizen.

  18. not having a father on the birth certificate will not be a problem. as far as adoption, after she is in the US, you can check what the requiremnts are for a step parent adoption in your State.

    Thanks,sunandmoon. :-)

Any reply to our qestion is very much welcome. We badly need it.

    Thanks,

  19. Good evening,

okay, so after a year and a half my divorce is finally heading towards an end so now we are starting to get serious about getting our k1 paperwork together.

got a couple quick questions so hopefully I can get some of the great advice I see being given to others.

My significant other is a citizen of the philippines. She is working in Singapore via a work visa. My question is when we fill out the k1, do we put her current address or

her family's address in the philippines. She wants to continue working as long as possible while the k1 is being processed. It appears it will be at least 5-6 months while

waiting so it only makes sense for her.

Also, is there a best case/worst case scenario for k1 processing? I've seen some folks who were approved in 4 months and others who are 5,6,7 months and counting waiting on noa2.

Also, Her daughter does not have a father listed on her Birth certificate, will that be a problem when it's time? oh and does anyone have any info about adopting her legally to make me

    her father?

I guess thats all for now, Thanks!
