  1. Hi! your post was very helpful to me when i was arranging my AOS papers. I already sent it to USCIS and now i was just waiting for the result. By the way, did you also post a guide what to do during the interview at the DHS during acquiring for biometrics? Like what to do and what to bring? I hope you can give me some advice for that. Thanks

  2. Hi! we have the same case here. I just would like to make a follow-up question for tahoma. What if I never receive the letter from the USEM but have my appointment scheduled already? Will I be denied of visa if I don't have that physical letter brought to the embassy during the interview?

  3. Hello, everyone! I am new here and I am happy to be a part of this community. Today, I had my interview at the US embassy here in Manila. It was definitely an experience. Everything went smoothly. My only problem is, I am now doubting if i have passed the interview and have been approved a visa. I was interviewed by the consular officer after all my documents have been gathered by a Filipino officer, interviewed by the Filipino officer and had my fingerprints scanned.

The interview with the consular went like this:

    1. He asked for my name then for my fiance/petitioner's name.

    2. He asked how we met each other.

    3. When did we start dating?

    4. What does my fiance do for a living?

    5. When did I last see him?

    6. Have I ever been out of the country?

And after all these questions, I was asked to sit down at the waiting area and wait for my name to be called. After 15 minutes, my name was called and was asked to fill up a form for shipping details. The guy from the window said to just wait for my visa at home together with my passport.

But the thing is, the consul did not say anything to me about passing or failing the interview. I mean, if I have been denied, would he have told me on the spot? I have no effin' clue... :( I hope somebody can enlighten me. I was telling my fiance about this and he seems worried, but I just know deep in my heart that i probably passed and that me and my fiance should just chill because soon, we will be together. I hope someone can enlighten me. Thanks!

  4. Hi everyone! My Fiance in the US already received the NOA2 last Feb 16, 2011 and received an letter from the NVC telling me that I would be receiving my Appointment letter from US Embassy in Manila after 2 weeks. Until now I still haven't received the letter and it is over 3 weeks already. What would be the best thing i should do? Would i pay my visa fee in advance and proceed with my medical exam since I have a copy of the aprroved letter from the NVC with the case number or should I wait for my letter from Manila US Embassy before paying for the visa application fee?

Do i need to pay first before i can get an appointment? And lastly, can i proceed with my medical exam first before paying for my visa fee?

    Thank you and God bless!
