  1. Hello, our Packet left NVC on the same day. I am starting to work on gathering our info. too! Are you using a co sponsor? I am because currently unemployed. As for the tax returns most people take the last three years. This is what I plan on doing. I really don't think that the fact that you carried someone else should affect your case. Just, because you cared for a person more that half the year in the past should not affect whats currently going on.

My fiance and I recently received our NOA2 letter and our packet left NVC on 11/18/11 for the U.S. Embassy in Kingston. As we are waiting for them to receive our packet and eventually mail out packet 3, we began getting the supporting documents together for the I-134. In doing so, I have have a few questions that I am most concerned about:

1)Do I need the last tax return or the last 3. The instructions from the embassy was unclear.

    2) During 2009, I was still in grad school and not making much at my part time job, plus I had been taking care of my God-daughter due to some difficulties that her mother was going through at the time. Needless to say, I filed my 2009 income taxes with her daughter as my dependent(but only for that year). If the embassy requires more than one year of tax returns, will the fact that my 2009 taxes states that I had a dependent only for one year seem strange (especially because I have no kids of my own)? In other words, will this hinder my fiance's chances of getting through the interview smoothly and getting his visa?

    3) Is there anything special to look out for at the interview. Any questions that jumped out at you or anything that you found the person conducting the interview focussing on.

Anything that you can tell me about the interview would be appreciated. Questions, concerns, tips etc.

Thanks in advance for your help and support  Sa

  2. The problem that I am having is that I know that people on this website just voice their opinion; however their are some people who have actually gone through the process and because of their experience they share it with others which whom may benefit from it. What gets me as for the people that gives off information like they just know what they are talking about and don't know nothing and wants to override the facts. Which sometimes maybe insulting to ones faith. It is a difference from fact and opinion. The one's with opinion wants to act like they lived it. I saw a member almost destroy another members faith when someone with experience tried to build his faith that is not fair. Its okay to voice your opinion ,but don't get it twisted with the truth.

Yeah Raine I have witnessed this too! Some are on here just so they can send negative vibes but I was blessed to have been invited to another group... that truly shows love to all of its members... If you are interested please inbox me...

  3. Got the NOA2 Yesterday!!!! Thanks for your reply

I think the phone call will be better than wasting gas, tolls and whatever else.... After our case went to NVC we were placed in AR (Administrative Review) for about 25 days. I just kept calling everyday and kept a log of who I spoke to and what time I called. Unfortunately, all you can do is wait it out and keep calling. Good luck!

  4. Has anyone ever went in to a local office for an Info Pass on a NOA2? If so what were your results? I am just trying to stay one step ahead... After putting a service request on OCT 20 I have been asked to wait 45 days for an answer. I am now 7 days away from the 45 days. Put in Info Pass for Thursday of next week. Just curious will this be a waste of my time because my local office is 2 hours away from my home.

  5. No problem if fiqured you did not realize that we have not finished out K1 process yet... thanks for your comment! :)

Oh, my bad. I didnt realize that they hadnt done the K1 interview. Im sorry.

Transfer from VSC to CSC just means that VSC is back logged and they are distributing the visas to other service centres. At least you know someone is looking at your petition, you really shouldnt have much longer now.

Im really sorry for giving you wrong information.

  6. Thanks for your reply... I am going to call again today...

5 Months plus is outside of the processing time :(

Have you been calling to check the status of your case?

VSC has been much slower than CSC so being transferred there is a good thing, but still you have waited long enough already!

If it goes 30 days past the 5 month mark you can get your congressman involved.

If you have not called USCIS already to complain about the time it has taken I would do so.

One of our members was past the 5 month mark, she called yesterday morning, and last night she got the NOA2 e-mail.

    Soon come (F)

  7. Just want to know has anyone ever called USCIS to check the status of a their case after the 5 month wait period... I did today and they put in a request to have it researched. I have not received any RFE's or anything since the NOA 1. If so, what were your results...Vermont is suppose to be working on cases that were received on May 6. My NOA 1 is dated April 18. #Somebodypleasehelpme#! :clock:

  8. I just experienced the same thing. I was advised to use the PO address on the forms because it has to match his passport information and the physical address (which was the actually directions to his home) was sent with my form as an attachment explaining that he receives his mail at the post office.

    Me again.............

I really want to make sure this is done right.. Thanks in advance...

Both forms ask for his address but the address he has is only to the Post office not a physical address.. Will they except that?

IF not what should I do lol
