  1. Well "mimicoco" I wish you all the best with your case and hope you guys will pass through those difficulties B-)

I dont want to bring too much drama here...BUT "Tim/Mav" why you have to put your thoughts in such a nasty way ???

Stay PRO - VJ members need help and support...I don't think you were THAT experienced from the beginning when you just start your "visajourney" for your fiance :innocent:

And what I know from MY experience now being already here in USA with my husband....you gonna have a LOT of questions what to do next reg. paperwork ...I bet NONE of the VJ members will respond you the way you did here... :(

Anyway wish you luck with your case!

  2. Well, I changed my SS# name easily, it took us like 2-3 weeks total. I also had my SS# card from last work and travel visa back in 2007. So we came to local office and I brought Russian passport with K1 visa, valid I-94 and Marriage Certificate. AND I didn't apply for AOS that time yet. Soapz is right, there's some software issue...that's why it took more than usual, officer said that he needs to do someyhing manualy and send some kinda request to immigration service or border patrol (sorry I don't remember exactly) The thing is that's absolutely not true that you can not change name if you don't have your EAD! WHO gave you this info? Did you go to local SS office?

  3. Hi, everyone again. We just got married on 22nd of October and already enjoing our new life here. We are about to apply for AOS. Unfortunately I didnt find in VJ's guideline whether I need to include the evidence of relations and marriage (photos, copy of lease, copy of joint accounts, etc.) with my intire AOS package now? Or maybe I need to bring these all to the interview???

Plus regarding Affidavit of Support, should we include finantial documents (taxes, paystubs, etc.) now or should we just fill I864 and bring docs only on the interview date.

Sorry for being annoying, I do remember many ppl had same questions :(

So please if you already went through this process I will appretiate your help!

    Thank you in advance !!!

  4. Hey, dear VJ's members!!!! Thank you SO SO much for being so into my post! Your comments helped me a lot....I gethered all infor you posted and after thinking for a while with my future husband we decided no to take this risk. He's so affraud to lose me !!! SO we doing Florida this time and will take cruise to USVI for our 1 year anniversary ! Sounds not bad, huh? thank you everybody one more time!!! I dont know what to do without you all guys

  5. Yes, we did K1. And we'll be married already by the time we'll fly to Virgin Islands...we can take copy of our marriage lisence. I just want to be sure that my K1 visa is enough to go TO islands and BACK to MAINLAND without any problems for my further ADJUSTMENT OF STATUS. Cuz we are going to start AOS right after we get back from honeymoon. So it's for sure that flight from mainland to island IS DOMESTIC!!!

  6. We (fiancees) all were told not to leave US after get here. Soon we'll get married and we are planning our honey moon. Are Virgin Islands OK? Is it still US and I won't be deported once we get there and will have NO problem with coming back to Chicago? Well we know that it's part of US but what if they do a new port of entry for me on the way back...bcuz I visited islands!!!

Thank you in advance dear VJ's members )))

  7. Cheer Up ! Ive been to same situation while having interview at US Embassy in Moscow. I was the only girl who got the slip for denial, so to say, out of other 20 girls being interviewed that day. I think you can imagine my feelings. I was down and out...we thought this is the end bcuz we had no will no power to be apart. Officer asked to mail some more finantial papers...we did...and they didnt like them. They asked for something different...we sent them again...SO we were asked to send informtion 3 times...and they made us keep waiting and waiting without saying if my visa is going to be approved or not. And the papers which they requested were NOT even in the list of requered documenets ... we were IN shock. Officer said: YES,I know it's not requested BUT we want to look at this and this and this.

After 3 weeks of unbearable waiting I got my visa with DHL guy! SO You didnt get a denial you just need to work on this process a LIL more! Please dont give up.

I'm here now with my future husband in Chicago in our nice house, we are preparing for wedding...omg..I'm so happy..I'm like in haven when next to him. Dont give up, give your fiancee a chance to feel the same feeling forever.

    Good Luck!

  8. Hi everybody! PLEASE I NEED your help. We are at last step. I passed interview but the oficcer asked my fiance to send him more finantial documents. My fiance is in Military. Now he is not on active duty, he doesnt work as i understand he is in active reserve. but 2010 he almost spent in Iraqi. So he sent tons of bank statements and W2 and 1040 for year 2010. But it not enough for them. Now we got this kind of request:

" We need current statement that clearly states his salary and benefit amounts. The Petitioner does not need to send us his whole MMPA printout, just an official statement of his yearly salary and regular cash payment benefits."

Can somebody ... who really knows how it should look like please advise!!! We got fight with my fiance bcuz of this...we cant understand what exactly they want to see and who can give that official statement...maybe it's pay stubs or idk / cryyyyyyyy

    thank you all

  9. Well July 29 is coming around early. She has no right to stay in your house because you're not married (if you were married you couldn't just kick her out). There is no legal responsibility to her, just moral.

If I were you I would call the police to have her removed. While in the presence of police I would give her the tickets, advise her of the date, pay for a hotel/motel while waiting for the flight and then if she doesn't catch it, you have proof you tried to do the right thing.

I'm sorry it didn't work out.

this comment doesn't sound humanely ... "just kick her out".... she is a woman with 2 kidds who left her country and everything to be with a man....well....who maybe even doesn't worth her love....

  10. Hello all,

  12. Holly molly!!! You made a "BOOM" by your story here!!! I'm sorry but you are so wrong! The problem is as it was mentioned before...K1 is not a TRY! K1 is "ticket" for those who can't live and breathe without each other...you must understand that. She is grown up women and she totally understood that she is going to leave her country , family and friends...so don't make exuses for this. I'm 25 (I'm Russian beneficiary)...I have amazing life in Russia, supper carrier, I make good money and have great family..and so and so BUT I CAN"T imagine MY life without my Justin anymore! Please, don't wait any changes...im sorry I think it won't work out even if marry her. I put on that she was looking for better life for her and her kid by leaving to USA and having her "American dream" to come true...I bet that ALL VJ members know what is the TRUE LOVE is by waiting months for their beloved...omg there's so wrong situation in your case.

Just feel sorry for all 3 of you...

Wish you luck...AND you are NOT ready to have international relationship it's a lot of "work"...better for you to have american girl I think :)

  13. Hi everyone!!!! I extremly need to share good news!!!! I just got a call from US Embassy saying me that I have my interview date on 15th of August....it's just one month left!!!!!! The officer told me not to wait for envelope from NVC as post offices in Russia are horrible at work and probably I won't receive it before my interview date...so she told me to go to web site and check the list of docs I need to bring and call them if I have any questions...she was very nice.

I was SO impatient I wrote to NVC couple days ago asking the date when my case was sent to Russia...and was hoping to get answer today....but INSTEAD of it I got a CALL from Embassy with good news!!!!! They were calling me 100 times yesterday but I couldn't pick up as I was passing medicals at the hospital for our visa...luckily they called me back today!

Thank you everybody for help....YOU ALL have know idea how ypou helped me!!! Now I know it's so important to stay calm and be happy with what you have!!!!

I wish luck to all who waits for their beloved! I really hope that my interview will be smoothy and easy!!! God bless me please!!!
