I'd contact my congressman's office and ask them to help you out. That or make an infopass and let them know why you need it to be expedited.
Hi Jane. I have done both of those things. Infopass is useless inside the 90 days. And pretty much the rest of the time....

hello
Ok I'm stuck, like many others, in the post-AOS background check log-jam. However my main issue is that my EAD shortly expires (11 months after i rcvd it) and it's only 40-odd days since they got my EAD renewal application - I thought we'd have the GC before now and completely forgot about EAD renewal. ... And I have quite a nice job which I dont want to leave but am minded to keep quiet about the expiration and hope the EAD comes sharpish. If I have to leave then I can't work anywhere else anyway til the EAD is approved and , of course, we'll need the money.
Tricky, huh? Anyone have any experience with this?

thanks for the info. why couldnt I find that doc, I wonder?
Anyway, that's terrible, terrible news.
I know...but remember that you can get the local office to "ping" NBC to give you the interim EAD, missouri is giving those out now i think. So make an infopass as soon as you hit 90 days. If you are lucky, you may end up with a nice person who will help. Don't lose hope! They still must issue interim EADs for ppl who have been waiting 90 days.
thanks zsam - the info is welcome but it doesnt help. my EAD renewal expires next week and I was late in getting my application in (december) so nowhere near 90 days as yet and I've just started a new job. Obviously I should have sent EAD renewal stuff earlier but was just hoping GC would arrive before now. thanks again . js

Hi , I've seen a few posts stating that interim EAD's are not being issued by local offices any more. I can't find any reference to this on the USCIS site.
Does anyone have any official evidence to support this?
Thanks
JS

ok, it's like this.... We had AOS interview on May 5th, which was unofficially approved pending the results of FBI check / bimoetrics - which had been done on Feb 14. That's 5 whole months without any notification.
Question: Has anyone else had a similar experience with a tacit approval from interviewer but a delay from FBI/biometrics?
thanks, Jon. Phoenix AZ

hello again -
Anastasia, can you tell me which surgeon you used in PHX for the vaccinations?
Also I'm confused regarding the I693 & 693A supplement. I have neither of these - they took my brown envelope at the point of entry- were they in there. Do I need to get a 693 supplement specific to me or will any non-specific form be sufficient? Have been unable to get info from USCIS.
thankin' you

hello all,
ok this is the situation...
Have AOS in Phoenix, AZ on May 5th.
Had medical in UK before leaving but did NOT have vaccinations.
I do NOT have a vaccination record from UK.
According to London Embassy website the vaccination requirements for a 30 something british male are not substantial (2 shots??), but have not seen this information elsewhere.
Am aware I need to get shots from approved civil surgeon but which shots? Will I need an armful of needles and to empty my pockets?
Any similar experiences?
Any advice / experiences greatly appreciated.
cheers, jon

rebeccajo - you're quite right. the EAD process seems to be on the verge of collapse - it's in a much worse state than this time last year (53days for me then). Called the FBI this morning who say they haven't even received my biometrics my local office. Recourse available? FA. I've written a letter. I'll be at day 50 when it expires.
Never mind. I want to go back to London anyway....
