  1. So should my friend fill out the I 601 waiver even though the CO never mention it...I am confuse in what to tell her. I do know they are going to get marry in a few months but i dont know if that is a good idea. I was thinking maybe she will have to wait for the petition to come back to the States and go from there. I told her about getting a awyer, she she knows it will cost alot, but but she feels its worth it. She asked me if she should contact her Senator or Congresswoman/man but i dont think they can help.

  2. no the only thing they told the petitioner is to refile under a K-1 or get marry and file the CR-1. They also told her to wait for it to get back to the U.S. and she can appeal it.She said pretty much she begged them to help her out in telling her what to do but that was the only suggestions they gave her. She is back in the States now and is trying to figure out who to talk to about this, so i told her that i would ask the VJ members and see what you all would suggest.

Patient2010...yes the USC knew when she filed the K-1 but she told me the reason he put "married" was becuz his girlfriend, at that time, was living with him and they always recognize their woman as their "wife" not girlfriend. She also said that they were advised to put married so that it would show strong ties...but he still got denied.

  3. Hello, I have a friend whose fiance just had his interview in Lagos and it wasnt successful. They were denied becuz her fiance tried to get a tourist visa yrs ago and was told by smeone to put that he's married. (well he wasnt married but still was denied for the visa). When it was time for them to file the K-1 they put that he wasnt married (which is the truth) and during the interview it came up. My friend met with the Consulate twice to explain but they said that there is nothing they can do but only suggest they get marry and try again. What are their options? Personally i feel if they do get married it will still be difficult to prove that he wasnt married. thanks in advance for your response..

  4. i am not able to put up both forms but the one the CO sent me the expiration date at the top says omb no 1615-0014, exp. 04-30-07...and revised 07/14/06 (its at the bottom)....the one i sent my fiance doesnt have an expiration date at the top..it only says omb no 1615-0014 and at the bottom it says revised 05/25/11

  5. Hi everyone, my fiance has all the documents for his interview this month. However, i noticed the I 134 form was different from the one the Consulate sent in the packet. The one my fiance has i signed my full name and dated it...(is that one the old or new version) also do you think they will delay us becuz i didnt fill out the form they sent?

    thanks so much

  6. I am confused...I thought its only N21,000 total... So if you need extra vaccines you may have to pay N3000? The reason why i am asking is because my fiance is going Monday and i want to make sure everything is done before Jan 17th...Jan. 18th is his interview...thank you

  7. I just spoke to my friend. His father came to the U.S years ago and when he filed he filed for a F1 visa when his son wasnt married. The son has waited about 2 years thinking the Embassy would contact him. Last year he got married and is still waiting. I told him that the F-1 is for unmarried son who is over 21.

I also told him that his father will have to file a I 130...am i correct? If not what should they do now?

  8. I have a friend whose dad filed for him to come to the states. He received the letter with a case number but isnt sure if he should wait for the Consulate to contact him or if he should contact them. He is also married now with a child. When his dad first filed for him he wasnt married. Will the dad have to file for the wife and child or will they be considered under his petition?...thank you

  9. Well, yesterday i received an email from USCIS stating that they routed my petition to the wrong location and sorry for any convience it may have caused. I called DOS today to see if there is anyway they can expedite it since it was USCIS fault and they said no...that i will have to wait 15 business days...and so forth. I told the lady i have waited almost 2 months and she told me "well others have waited longer"....so it seems like i am Starting all over...waiting for a case number..

  10. i called NVC yesterday just to check if i had a case number..and no case number so i asked to speak to a supervisor...she told me that they dont have records of my case and told me that i may have to file a duplicate and to call USCIS...well i did and i spoke to an operator and she read the script.. after asking her so many questions she transfered me to a Tier 2...the Tier 2 lady told me that they do send the package to the Consulate but they have to wait for NVC to assign a case number and that it usually take 4-6 weeks for NVC to give a case number and that i should give them this week but she said for me not to file duplicate becuz that will be more money and it will take another 2 and half months...she also told me that she will put in a referral and i should hear from them in 14days that way they can let me know if the petition is still with them or NVC.

  11. Don't worry wally we are the same situation, July 8th approved by USCIS and then until now we dont know our MNL case # yet :(

I have the same situation...NOA2 July 7, 2011 and i call NVC everyday , even today and they said they have no record...i called USCIS they told me wait 90 days as well... it's very frustrating becuz i sent my petition Dec 15th 2010 and now waiting for a case number and who knows how long we will have to wait for an interview....it seems like it's Vermont now...I also scan the petition and they responded by saying they will contact USCIS on my behalf...(that was 4 days ago)

  12. Congratulations.

These days, for some reasons USCIS are writing this notice on the approval notice. The petition makes a stop at the NVC to get the case # before getting to the embassy. I think you can check with the NVC later on.

    Good luck

My petition said the same thing and we received our NOA2 July 7th...and still waiting...so i call even today and they still don't have it...

  13. Ok, I just went back and read the NOA2 letter and it says that they forward my petition to the Consulate... they didn't put the name of the Consulate below...so i guess there is only one in Lagos...I also thought i need a case number. I just called NVC and told them what the letter say and they told me to contact the USCIS... I called them and spoke with a Tier 2 officer... she was confused... she told me to call the DOS and it could take 60 days for it to get to the Lagos Consulate...well the approval notice expires 11/7/11... now DOS is closed now...so I just email the Lagos State email address to ask them....Can someone help me with this? What should I do?

  14. i recieved a RFE for the same thing..actually i had to fill out a G325A for my fiance and i wrote he agree to sign at the Consulate...also make sure the form hasn't expired, if so check to see if there is an updated one online...i filled out the one they sent as well as the updated one and they could choose...For the other documents i missed the first time i called uSCIS and spoke to an officer...he told me if i forgot anything send it in...so i sent a cover letter and included everything i missed including the RFE...also i went back to my copies and made sure i sign and date everything and we were approve through USCIS....so i wouldnt take any chances...use the guide on here and send in what's missing...it won't hurt...good luck
