  1. Hello Virginian (I'm a former from Annandale)

It would be great to be there on the 29th but we still do not have our Packet 4 (email or snail mail)....

A fellow Thailand VJ member Matt did post that he was able to go inside the Embassy and wait with his Fiance last month. He was not allowed up to the window for the interview but could sit close and listen to others. You may want to contact him if you have questions.

  3. We could not be happier with the great work of the California Service Center. We had planned for the worst case, 5 months or more, but getting this in 2 and a half months was an amazing gift.

    Good luck everyone!!

June 13, 2011 Update - just spoke with NVC and our case has gone for "Additional Processing". Could be normal ......could be a long wait ....... ahhh the highs and lows of this process....

The package prepared in Thailand by Brian Wright, mythaifiancee.com, was also stellar and took much of the worry out. Now it's on to NVC, Embassy and packet 3 .....

    Good luck everyone!!

  6. I just sent off our application!!!

    Our Journey

    Feb 2010 met online

March 17: Dinner in Bangkok - wow I was instantly smitten

May 31-June 6 2010 : 1st trip to see BaiPai (pronounced like ByPie)- Bangkok and Chiang Mai

July 2010: applied online for Tourist Visa for BaiPai to visit USA. We could not find an open time slot at the Bangkok Embassy for the interview out 3 months all booked!

September 2010: Enjoyed an amazing week with Baipai in Koh Samui

October 2010: finally an open slot for an interview for Tourist Visa - Nov 17, 2010 (was hoping Baipai could be in USA for Thanksgiving)

Nov 17, 2010: Baipai had appointment at Bangkok Embassy with female interviewer. Tourist Visa denied! due to close ties (me).

Dec 31-Jan9 2011: New Years eve in Bangkok, we then went to Nong Khai to visit family, then on to Phuket and Koh Phi Phi. I proposed ring and all in the ocean surf on a tiny island near Koh Phi Phi - she said Yes!

    Visa Journey:

Feb 17 2010: Hired USA-Immigration Law/ Brian Wright to handle K1 for us(located in Thailand they should help facilitate everything. The initial application I-129f is easy enough and yes I can do but they will handle everything in Thailand and hold 2 practice interviews with Baipai - that alone is priceless since her confidence is shaken by the Tourist let down)

Mar 03 2011 - Sent I-129F package to Dallas Lockbox
