  1. hello:

so i have read some of these responses. currently my father-in law is in st luke's doing the sputum test. and i was wondering what the average timeline was for one of these test start to finish. some of the post where confusing. also they have told him he has to have 3 injections done up in north in quezon city. and i was wondering if anyone knows what that's about and if there is any other cost  with those injections

  2. I am trying to find some help in filling out the AFFIDAVIT of support as a co sponsor.

My wife has filed a I 130 for her father to come here to the us from the philippines. my wife is a us citizen. however my wife doesn't work and has no proof of income so i need to know do i need to file as a co sponsor? and if so how do i go about doing that? is it just the same paperwork but just in my name? any help or links where i can read on Co Sponsorship would be great.

"Applicants will be provided with instructions by the NVC on where and when to pay the appropriate fees."

I hope the link helps clears some things up. I know it can be confusing hearing from different people on different paths and different stages.

i do have one question tho. Have you received your NOA 2 yet?

  4. Hi! I just wonder how much we should bring for the interview at USEM Manila if there's an interview fee or any additional fee..? Coz when I filled up my ds260, the fees part says N/A so I assumed we pay at the interview?

After looking around for a bit. you shouldn't have to pay anything at the embassy if you paid the 420 $ in the States. the 325$ they have posted is there for if you wanted to pay for it there at the Embassy instead of the NVC.. As for the DS -260 i have yet to find a fee for that form. i don't even remember filling it out LOL but again a general rule of thumb if you have the money take it with you. if they need it they will ask you for it.

  5. your 420 $ that you paid to the NVC in the States is what you would have to to pay. or 325$ for K1 or K3. CR-1 you don't pay for their at the Embassy. you may have to pay for the delivery service to get the package and passport back tho.. If your planning to be there for the interview take extra with you just incase.

  6. Only if your wife an USC already? The father will be IR-5 which is fairly quick. If she wants to sponsor her brother, that is an F4 preference and years to move over. Another option is the father moves here first and applies for F2 visa for the son. By that time, if the son is under 21, the process will be quicker and take maybe 2 years.

ok i thought he would be able to ride up on his dads I-130. same as if my wife had a child or does it not work that way for father and brother?
