I got my passport Just waiting on my passcard, and documents. Passcard is good to have if your not traveling in air, the card is good for land, and sea travel to the Caribbeans Canada, and Mexico.Also the advantage of having the passcard is if you lose your passport, or passcard vice versa, you have at least one important key to make the process faster to obtain a replacement, Good Luck.

Not for me... the status on the website shows it is still in processing, I had to call to verify my passport has shipped out. Took a month smh.

That could be probably due to my last name, and also I ordered both the book, and card.

My passport was mailed out today, about time? I should get it by tomorrow.

That was the same problem I had, I called up, and they said it is still in process? I'm not sure if your problem was similar to mine with the last names. I hope everything goes smoothly.

Yes nothing yet, actually my status changed, here is what is happening. When I filled the application at the post office I had everything done correctly. I gave the my Birth certificate, drivers license, social security card. The clerk that handles the application photo copied my drivers license, and gave it back to me the problem here is that my drivers license doesn't quite match my birth certificate. the story behind this is my birth certificate has my first name and both my parents last names it look something like this (John Doe Smith) But on my drivers license it shows as (John Doe). Now when I asked the clerk if my everything looks fine he stated it was I even asked him about the drivers license and he also replied by saying its fine. Now when i checked my status these coming weeks where it states to add your last name i added (Doe Smith) and it showed the status as sating it was processing, now when I go to check my status last night it didn't show up s I thought to myself what could be the problem? So instead of typing in both my parents last names I went ahead, and used the last name that is used on my drivers license, and the ststus showed up isn't this weird? I'm wondering if that is going to delay my passport? Has this ever happened to anyone.

That's great news but as far as myself goes I applied earlier than the 18th, and 22nd, I still have not got a notice of anything. I was suppose to leave for my new job but they stated with out the passport, they can not finish processing my application.

Yes, mine got routed to NH. I called today to verify but still no change. I leave next week Monday, so hopefully by the end of the week at least I will see some sort of change on the status. I wish I could just cancel the application, since I saw everyone getting theirs in 2 to 3 weeks I thought it would have been the same in my case, I guess not.

The panic? I need it for my job, and I am planning to leave soon for work I will be going away for a month, and have no one to baby sit my mail for me. I just cant have the post office leaving important documents that could be left at the door with out a signature, and risk of them being stolen. Also as Indietro09 noted; he has applied almost a month, and a half I would be very worried about this

I would call your local congress on this. I think they have lost your paper work in the system.

I checked the mail-box and nothing yet. The website has not updated so I guess I am one of those statistics that will get my passport late.

How about if I call NPIC wouldn't they have a update? When I called they told me he status was still the same.

Hi everyone. I just stumbled on this site, and found a lot of useful information. I just recently applied for my US Passport on 2/15/2011. I was wondering has anyone here applied for their passport lately? The reason I ask this me, and my friend recently applied together, and she is already getting a tracking number to receive her passport in the mail? My status still shows the same since last week; We both applied for routine service.

If you applied for both a U.S. Passport Book and a U.S. Passport Card on the same application, the newly issued documents, as well as your returned citizenship evidence, may be mailed to you in separate packages at different times. Therefore, it is possible to receive 3 separate mailings; one with your returned citizenship evidence, one with your newly issued passport book, and one with your newly issued passport card. It is currently being processed.
