  1. Hi everyone,

I need a little help or advise here about my green card. I had my biometic fingers print done since 19th of April 2012. It said on the paper that my case has been tranferred to CA, so interview do not required. Whatever decision they make will be mail it to me.

It has been a while and I haven't heard anything at all not even REF. I keep checking on the USCIS website but all i see is "initial Review". I wanted to give them a call but wasn't sure if I should. Is there anyone has any ideas of how much longer do I have to wait for or shuould I just sit tight and waiting patiently? And what will be happen next?? I just worried what if my husband get to deploy elsewhere and they might come and kick me out of the country.

thank you for all advices :) good luck to you all

  2. most people who get transfered to CA office usually dont have an interview. and its usually not faster - yes i know the letter says it is but its really not. however you have less stress by not having to go to the interview.

you need the bio letter in order to do your bio appointment. they wont let you do it early without it

the bio appointment is a grand total of 5 mins, its like getting your drivers licence pic done. you get your pic taken and they do your fingerprints just like your POE. same thing you sign a form and then you leave. its nothign speacial.

thank you very much for the very helpful info. So now I only have to wait for the bio letter, after that I can just sit and relax waitin for my green card to be arrived?

  3. @Caryh thank you for your help but I haven't got a letter for having my finger print taken yet, can I just walk in with this piece of paper for my finger print? Is it possiblity I could have an interview in CA??

@jlisakay thank you for your info. When you have your finger print taken, do they keep your passport also?

I'm sorry for posted in the wrong furum but how can I move to the AOS forum?

  4. Hi there,

I was supposed to have my fingerprint taken on the 19th of March in Boise the local centre. But I had to reschedue it cuz my husband who is in military is now away for his training and won't be back until the 22nd of March. It will be difficult for me to go to Boise when I cannot drive. I enclosed this explaination matter in a letter and sent it to the local office. But today I've got a letter and they said my case has been transferred to CA. They said in order to speed up processing we gave transferred your case to CA? Speed up processing???? what is that mean??? Is that mean i have to go to CA for my fingerprint and signature? Will they deny my case? OMG I'm sooo panicing now :( any advice please everyone? thank you ever so much for any helps

  5. @gandacel- thank you for the advice I just found my DS-3025 and got everything thank you :)

@Nich-Nick- After married do I need to go to the court house and to get name change? or I can just use a married cert as a name change? I have been told I have to use the name of what I have filed for K-1 (I used my previous name of married, not a smart idea I know) They said the name of my application have to match to the name of my british passport, is that right?

Do you think it will effect my AOS if i just go ahead and use my new married name for AOS? My opinion I don't think so, cuz I'm official married. But I want to know for sure. Thank you again Nich-Nick and gandacel for wasting your time to help me :)

  6. Hi there,

I'm now filing for an AOS and I have noticed that they required medication form. Where do I find this form? As I understand they don't required a medication form since I have enterred with K-1 visa, is that right? Please correct me if I'm wrong. and another question.

Can I use my husband's name to apply for an AOS or has it got to be the name I used when I filed for K-1? I don't want to change the name again later.

    thank you for any helps,

  7. So your fiance has no family that is presently living in the US that you could live with? You'll plan is not well thought out.

@LIFE'SJOURNEY Yes he has family and I also have family that I could live with. But the fact that I worried is, if he gets deploy a few day after my arrival they would send me back here.

@3t3rnal he hasn't got an order yet but all he said is his name is on the list to go. I don't care living there while he's away but all I worried is they would send me back if he's gone.

  8. Hi there,

First of all my visa had issued a month ago but I'm still in the UK waiting to go. My fiance is in the airforce and might be deploy to somewhere outside the USA soon which is he doesn't know when, where or how long he has to go for? So he doesn't want me to go there yet just in case the airforce will send him for over 4 months oversea after my arrival and they would send me back here. I know the visa I'm holding I have to get married within 90 days if not then I will have to come back to the UK.

My question is, does anyone know if there is any other ways I can extend my visa just in case my fiance get deploy elsewhere?

I have been waiting for over 7 months and its killing me that have to wait without knowing anything cuz the airforce doesn't tell him nothing, I'm worried this will cause our relationship soon :(

What do I need to do to solve this, I just want to be with my love.

thank you for all your help I'm really low :(

  9. Would that be ok to use a photo scan copy of paystubs and tax transcript? I'm worried that I might not have enough time if my fiance mail the original to me.

Do note that London won't require proof of ongoing relationship. They are most concerned with the I-134 and supporting documents, as well as your documents (birth certificate, etc.) Make sure you have the US passport sized photos that are required.

Ensure you have copies and the originals for your documents. They will ask to see the original and then keep a copy. You need to have the copies handy; they won't make them for you.

London is quite easy - hope all goes well!

  10. Hi folks, I'm going to have an interview in the next 3 weeks. But just a bit worried is what case they could deny your visa? I have everything I needed it such as...

    - bith cert

    - passports

    - name changed

    - police cert

    - Visa fee

    - I-134 form (bank statement, 3 months paystub, 3 years of tax transcripts)

    - photos

    - divorced paper

    - App letter

Think that's all I needed. Could they still deny me a visa? I'm just worried cuz I have shipped all my stuffs over the USA, about to quite my job, sold my car. I know its now a wise idea but I don't think it shouldn't be a problem. As far as I read from the reviews they didn't ask you much at all just all about you and your fiance, please correct me if I'm wrong. thank you

  11. Yes that's the number to call from the US. There is a flat $16 fee for the call and the K1 is an IMMIGRANT visa when you listen to the prompts. Its actually a customer service number that's based in Glascow, Scotland. After he pays for the visa, they will email him a receipt and you will need a copy of this MRV Receipt to bring with you to the interview. The customer service line will ask for your email address so they will send you a copy of the MRV Receipt as well. Bring that and your interview letter to the embassy just to get in. You will need other documents (see embassy website) for the interview itself. Good luck!

wow that's lovely thank you very very much for your help :) all the best

  12. He can scan the documents and email them to you to print. A tax return is not a requirement for London. So even the payslips and bank statements are probably enough. It takes London a while to schedule the interview and then it will probably be a few weeks after that. They seem to be quite busy right now. The tax transcript will likely be there well before your interview.

Thank you for Nich-Nick again. I'm so relieved now thanks a lot for all your help :)

  13. Don't fret about it. Most likely you will receive the info from your fiance before they schedule your interview anyway. Have you had your medical yet?

If he's applied for his tax transcript then he should be receiving it soon, so I'm sure you'll have it in time for the interview. If, however, you receive your interview letter and have not received the tax transcript you can either reschedule the interview or attend it with the knowledge that they will probably require you to send them the tax transcript afterwards. Not sure which would be the better course of action.

yes I already had my medical exam on Monday. If attend the interview without tax transcript is alright then I will go for it. thank you for your answer :)

  14. Hi there,

I just realized that I accidentally sent out the DS 2001 together with all DS forms for packet 3. Thought you supposed to send DS 2001 when your ready for the interview right? I'm just waiting on my fiance's paystubs and tax transcript to be sent out to him. So all I have with me are only I-134 form and his bank statement which I print it off myself. He's waiting on his tax transcript right now and he can print off his paystubs on his computer at work anytimes. What to do now please help??? He's in military, in a worst case scenario, do you think I'll be ok with only I-134 form and his bank statement for my interview since he's served for military??

  15. It is the NVC that assigns the LND number.

NVC number = Embassy case number = DOS case number

USCIS case number ≠ Embassy case number

Nutchaya--I've already told you what I think you should do and where that DOS number is.

London has a standard procedure to mail you a letter when they are ready. If you choose to do it sooner, then do so at your own risk. People have told you ways to save time, but if you don't have other things in place you aren't going to get an interview faster. So far we don't know anything but you have an LND number and you case is probably in London. What else have you done for the London part of the process?

thanks for the answer. I haven't done anything yet that's why I posted this topic for you guys to guide me. I just booked for a medical exam that's all I did. I'll take your advice and wait until they are ready to send me a packet 3 once again thanks ever so much for all your help.

  16. Here's your DHL number 8810632795 if it left NVC May 13.

Track it by number here http://track.dhl-usa.com/TrackByNbr.asp?nav=TrackBynumber

Again, it's too soon to call. Wait 2 weeks and have your fiance call Dept of State in the US at no premium fee. Your case will not be logged in at the Immigrant visa unit the day the package arrives at the mailroom in Lambeth. And you will notice there are 4 lbs. of petitions going to London in one box, so others are arriving daily too. 6 lbs were shipped the day before.

DOS (202)663-1225, press 1, then 0 to speak to a person.

is this number for the UK for the US DOS (202)663-1225, press 1, then 0 to speak to a person. thank you
