  1. All of what you list, typically end up as pet food ingredients here in the US. That is the disparity between 1st world and 3rd world.

So this isn't sound Bigotry to you huh?Or should i say Racist?? Goodnight!

Bigot is often used as a pejorative term to describe a person who is obstinately devoted to prejudices, especially when these views are either challenged, or proven to be false or not universally applicable or acceptable.

You are really reaching with your pejorative statements, aren't you.... I suggest before using an unfamiliar term that you comprehend it's meaning.

To assure you that I am not a bigot or racist please read "Ingredients to Avoid" in the following link.

    Done like Dinner

  2. ....probably SWMbob dont!!I wonder if he be able to drink perfectly pure water recycled from urine, as astronauts do!!

Just don't piss down my leg.....and tell me it's raining :jest: "Don't piss down my leg and tell me it's raining." Roughly translated, that means when someone is doing something personally offensive to you, at least they should have the decency not to pretend they're NOT doing something personally offensive to you.

Whose being offensive here?read what you posted..BIGOT!

Keeping this response within the context of my earlier reply to you….

and I hope I didn't offend any future astronauts, but to make it a little more palatable, I was just having a go at you, lighten up.

I have to ask, Are you on the piss?

(That’s Aussie slang for, have you been drinking?)

Bigot?? A pretty strong word. Please attempt to show in this thread where my replies lead you to accuse me of bigotry?

    P.S. I Love Bee ######

  3. I want to list here the food that I like but he doesnt want to taste (or taste ever again)...

    1. Isaw (chicken intestine)

    2. Dinuguan (or what he called chocolate meat)

    3. Fish belly

    4. Tuwalya (ox tripe).

    5. Balot......

Most of this ###### is not fit for human consumption with zero nutritional value. For starters, animal stomach, intestine and blood harbor E Coli.

I eat to fuel my body and choose wisley what I put into it for that purpose. All of what you list, typically end up as pet food ingredients here in the US. That is the disparity between 1st world and 3rd world.

May be, may be not. I am sure you have heard or seen of people eating cow tongue, testicles, balls, etc in US. Also worms, at least here in the city I am living in, they have this fall festival where a lot of vendors from all over US presents a lot of "weird" food.

I take offence on your statement. No body is forcing you to eat anything, so don't look down upon something which you don't like. If you think US is the holy place for healthy food, you should check the facts again. I have never seen this much intake of sodium back in my old country compared to US. Every fast food restaurant is filled with sodium infected menu. I don't like it, I don't eat it.

People from all over the world have known to use every last bit of meat, tree, vegetable in whatever way they can. So get off your high horse and look around the world.

Why do you think I'm looking down on anyone? I stated my opinion, same as you have, basing my opinion on fact, which one offends you?

The OP didn't list your delicacies... but if you enjoy a little tongue every once in awhile or testicles... More power to you!

  5. OK.....I am sorry to bother you all with this after all the help everyone gave me this week on getting the papers out......my wife ex of 2 years found out that we were engaged and she was coming to the states ....and flipped out (she left him for him being abusive).......he is American and stationed overseas......he is saying that he is going to do harm and is going there ON THE JULY 4TH WEEK END......now we don't know if she should go to the police or what since she is going to have to go get the police papers for the embassy......what are we to do? Any help or advice would be appreciated!!!!! add it here or email it privately...

Ignore the ex, it's all bluster....Your gal should have some male relatives, right?

Did you ever see what happens to a foriegnor when they tangle with a group of filipino males (on the filipino's turf)?

    Not a pretty sight. :bonk:

  6. If I lived in this city I would consider sucking on 12 gauge shotgun................

She may be mumbling to herself "What's with this guy, why "she" do this to me"

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RyKvD-4IxOY

Seriously, based upon his prior posts and the current situation, I would re-consider keeping her here. She recently arrived and should be ecstatic being with her honey....he's done everything to give her the means to communicate and stay in touch with friends....Homesickness is BS!!

I would re-consider keeping her here. He brought her here for both to be happy, if it ain't working....time for a change.

  7. Hmmmm....

.... There is no such thing as a filipino community or church here,.....

.....This is a small mountain town in southwestern Virginia....

.....there is no public transportation ehre,

..... and the one cab driver is out of town on vacation....

..... I found an asian market 30 minutes away....

She probably feels she moved from one barangay to another but.....8000 miles away. :crying:

I would be depressed too

  8. Once past customs...you will encounter malcontents in disguise as employees of the airport and it's various vendors.

Don't allow these lazy, shiftless, ineffecient, malingerers influence your initial impression of the US.

We have to have a place on the East Coast to transfer passangers to other parts of the country, unfortunately the gene pool has been pretty much depleted around Newark.

Kinda reminds me of a sign along Interstate 80 when leaving NJ, it read: "Welcome to Pennsylvania...Where America Begins"!

It has since been replaced (Not PC, I guess) but it always did give me a chuckle.

  9. ....The charge that they tried to make stick was prostitution..... They were fishing very hard in the interview and if they didn't come up with this they would have pinned something else on her....

In the application, what is her current occupation and past work history. Where is her current residence and past residency? Did you review her NBI?

Something here, had to raise suspicion for the interviewer to pursue further questioning.

Additionally, it has been stated here many times, petitioners should prep thier beneficiaries for the interview and provide the personal information, i.e. prior marriages, any children, occupation, mother's name etc..

As you stated, you did not prepare her for the personal questions nor did you review with her, the documents provided which were wholefully inadequate.

Therefore she lacked confidence during questioning. Your girl's response or lack thereof to the above, forced the second interview.

There is something in her background or in your relationship that the second interview confirmed the application is not truthfull. Did they even look at or consider the additional documents you provided?

IMO and as harsh as it may sound, bringing her to the US is not going to happen even if you marry her there and apply for a CR1/K3.

  10. I was planning to make a few visits to a tanning booth before my wife and I's trip back to the Philippines next month and it occurred to me does Kathlene need to get some sun also?

I burn pretty easy, so it just makes since for me to get a little tan before heading from winter in Kentucky to the Philippines, but I wonder if Kathlene needs to build up some resistance as well since she has been in the states for over a year now.

I am also bringing sunscreen, I just know the sun is a lot stronger in the Philippines than here in Kentucky.

    Any comments?

Based on my experience with Filipina's, she rather be much lighter than her friends when she returns. Don't worry about the sun for her. Unfornutaely she'll brown up in no time

  11. Hi VJ community,

I realize there is not going to be a lot of people out there who can relate to this problem, but here goes anyway; we were set back for two months at the medical due to further testing for TB, we are expecting the results any day now, LORD willing we will get past that.

The main concern my wife and I are facing now is extreme anxiety over another setback due to a condition she has called Psoriasis, psoriasis is a chronic, non-contagious disease characterized by inflamed lesions covered with silvery-white scabs of dead skin, she has a severe case of it. She tells me, "she has tiny red spots all over her body and big lesions on her legs". They did not make an issue of it at the initial exam and if I am correct the criteria for rejection is that the disease must be communicable or debilitating, both of which this is not.

Is there by chance, anyone who can offer her some words of encouragement, the VJ community has always been there for us and we could not have gotten this far without you.

    Thanks,

    Ben

Psoriasis is not a communicable disease and will not keep her from getting a visa.

I use meds from the PI (without a script) to treat it. It is much less expensive than anything here in the US that has been prescribed by my doctor.

Desowen Cream (desonide 0.05%). A 15g tube is P375 and can be purchased (if in stock  haha) at Watsons, Mansons and Mecury drug stores.

Believe me, this stuff works just as well as the over priced brand name prescribed here in the US, at a fraction of the cost. I always have friends bring some back for me.

    Good Luck

  12. A Taxi from each location is no problem. Just be sure the meter is turned on and do not have them wait for you, as taxis are plentifull.

To avoid a rip-off from the start. Have him take the escalator from the arrival area upstairs to the departure area. Plenty of taxis there droping off pasangers.

Rip-offs are avoided by insisting the driver run the meter, if he does'nt...get into another. And by all means..do not let them wait to take you to another location!!! If you do, your inviting trouble because that's when the driver's "cost of time negotiation" rivals a laywer's cost per hour

  13. envy dalhan kita at sunduin mo sa Ohare airport!!!

  15. How are you guys adjusting in the first 6 months to a year of marriage.. What difficulties do you encountered most??

    Please share your experience...

She helps me off with my work clothes and hangs them up when I get home from the job. Helps me into my evening lounging attire and slippers.

My drink is waiting for me and dinner is ready within a 1/2 hour of my arrival.

    I'm adjusting just fine...Thank You!

  16. The time has come to make her feel welcome in her new home. What kinds of things did you do to make her feel like she is coming home? I want to make my future wife welcome to my home, and I want her to know it is hers too. What kinds of things are going to make her feel she is at home and not in someone else's house....... What are some good ideas......

  17. If you have any bank account in the US and send the family an ATM card, then you will incur the US bank's fee's and the local withdrawl fee.

But, it is less expensive then using the money transfer services.

  18. Sad state of affairs..allowing a child to run your life.

Everything a man and women commit to during a marriage is not going to be satisfied by your daughter.

Here's a shocker...when she gets married..she will be involved with her own family and more than likely consumed with her own issues, rather than your's.

In other words, you won't be the center of her attention, but (hopefully) you will continue and always be your wife's main attraction.

Live life for yourself and not for others...They will get over it and if they don't...

  19. ..

guess what, my fiance opened an account at hsbc ca,

he sent me the atm here in ph,

and thats it! no extra charges.

you just have to withdraw on any hsbc atm here or

    metrobank atm will also do.

    no identification problem,

    no extra charges...

    Ditto...

Any Bank ATM will do, as long as the logo on the back of the card matches the bank's participation i.e. cirrus, mac, plus, star....
